So I was giving out candy to the kids when after 7:30 these two girls came. One of the girls asked if I was a witch tonight (I was wearing a witch hat) and I said I am. She said that she was Sofia the First. When I gave her one piece of chocolate, she asked if they both could take two. So I let them. And in the background I heard their mother laughing (I have no clue if these two were sisters or not. I'm only assuming). Both girls said thanks and then left. XD To me, it was cute.

We didnt even ask the kids to tell jokes but this one girl about 7 came to our door and told one anyways "what a vampires fave holiday?" "Fangsgiving!" It was pretty adorable if I do say so myself

my dad was giving out the candy in a group with some of the neighbors but a pair of kids came up to our door (it was sad we had to explain they had already gotten our family's candy…) and they were so excited to see that my mom was holding a cat

I was giving out candy and a girl (who looked to be maybe nine or so?) asked how many pieces she could take; I hadn't been telling the kids a strict "one or two" at all so I just shrugged and said "however many you want", assuming she'd be like most people and take maybe three at most. Mistake: She grabs a fistful and then a second as fast as she can before her parents and I can react, and was reaching for her third when her parents grabbed her hand and stopped her. Lesson learned: say "one or two" next time.

When my sister was super young she was too scared to go out and trick-or-treat, so she wanted to hand out candy instead at home. She got super excited whenever big crowds of kids came, and she'd sprint back and forth between the door and candy bowl, and since she was going so fast one kid would get like 10 pieces, then the next would get 1, and then once I'm pretty sure she just kinda threw candy at someone and it all missed their bucket.
All the other kids just went to a standstill with 'wtf' looks on their faces.

Okay, so, I did this really creepy zombie makeup for when I was handing out candy. It wasn't like rotted or anything, I just made the skin look all sunken and grey and my eyes were ice blue and all that.
When I answered the door there was one little girl (six or seven) who told me "Woah, maybe dial it down on the spook next time." I said I would remember that for next year. She told me I would make a nice bunny and skipped off.
I'm not one to gush about adorable children, but man, that was great.

These are all so great
tonight we didn't get many trick-or-treaters but the ones we got had great costumes. My neighbor is bout 9 and she came as a giant cake, she strutted off like a true diva and was replaced by a pack of hyperactive five year olds in my little pony tutus who ran all over the porch XD

It feels so weird to see you guys say "I give 1 piece of candy. Lucky if 3." Mostly because over here, people throw together bagfulls with pop and stuff. People here go hard e_e
Lol anyway, I heard people scream trick or treat from across the field from my house... I think that's cute? xD

i was passing out glowsticks, and when someone knocked on the door there was a huge group of kids. Half of them left when I told them I didn't have any candy.
