((The next person to post adds on to the story. Please keep it PG or PG-13 and saying "and everyone dies" is not creative. Have fun!)
She hit the ground running. Her paws threw dust into the air as she sped away. The ground hadn't had a sip of rain in moons, so the dirt underneath was just sand slowing her down.

That monster of a cat was after her.
He was after her. And he wouldn't give up his chase so easily.
She careened around a tall pine, the towering perennial making her look like a mouse before a feline. The forest became darker as she ran on, and her heart pounded fearfully against the bones of her ribcage. If she could find her way out of here, she'd be fine. But the only way to escape him was to keep running, even if she tired out.
So run she did.
( This is probably a bit too much fluff, whoops. ;~; )

(You're good =)It can be as long or as short as you like.)
The taste of blood build in the back of her throat as she ran. With each breath coming in as fast it still wasn't enough air for her tired lungs. Spots coated her vision. She knew it wasn't long before she'd collapse and he'd get her. Fear spurred her on, but in her frantic mind she knew that adrenalin could only take her so far. A large thorn bush loomed just ahead of her. Taking one more glance behind her, she couldn't see him, but knew he wasn't far behind. Seeing her opportunity she leaped into the thorn bush.
Thorns caught her fur and flesh as she dove in. She bit her tongue to force herself not to cry out. With much pain she squirmed further in the thorns, hoping the bush will provide a way out of this mess.
"Now, where have you gone this time?" His voice softly spoke, his own ragged breath seemed to echo her own. She didn't dare open her eyes, but she knew he was a close, too close.

She could hear his claws drumming against the hard packed ground with every pawstep, she could hear his breath exiting his hot mouth. That's how she knew that he was too close. She stayed completely silent, stopping her struggling and making sure each shaky and fearful breath wasn't too loud for fear of being captured by him.

( Mkay. c: )
Please don't let him see me. Please don't let him see me. Please don't let him see me.
The she-cat flattened her ears as she sat low behind the thorny brambles, trying to stop her breath from being so visible in the chilly air. She gritted her teeth as she felt warm blood trickling into her white pelt, but she forced herself to be quiet. She couldn't afford to be caught by him, nor his cult of rogues.
"Now, where have you gone this time?" He'd asked. Her eyes shut tightly in fear, and she swallowed the thick lump in her throat. He could hear his husky voice too close to her body. She had to get to safety, and fast. But the only option she had was to wait until he passed her.
Just wait... He can't stay around here for long...

She was wrong.
He merely let out a soft chuckle as he paced. Back and forth...Back and forth, "Come out. Come out. Wherever you are!" His voice was no higher then a whisper, but the noise seemed to echo in her ears, causing her to shift slightly in her anxiety.
His pawsteps stopped, and through the brambles she could see the monster's massive paws, the color of darkness and death.
She held her breath, pinning her ears back against her skull. 'He saw me! I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm so sorry, Ashwhisker. I tried.'

I can't stay here... He's coming!
Quickly, the she-cat weighed here options. She could stay her and be captured - or worse, killed - or keep running.
He was so close now, a chilling sing-song voice ringing in her ears. She shivered against both the cold and ger own fear, tears starting to well up in her eyes. She felt like a terrified rabbit cornered in a fox's den; her heart palpitated in a quick sacatto.
There was only one option she could choose now. Rising to her paws, she sprinted forwards, her paws aching on the flat, dust-littered ground.
He already caught Ashwhisker. I can't let him catch me!

She pushed and clawed until she was out of the thornbush, then sprinted away, unknowing if he'd seen her or not. But he surely would've, she knew. But she kept running. For Ashwhisker, she thought fiercely.

The tomcat's reddish eyes glowed unnaturally in the dark lighting, lighting up his face with a crimson hue. He grinned, his fangs glinting, as he watched her run. "Trying to play cat-and-mouse, hm? I love it when my prey tries to escape."
He followed her tracks, large paws thudding on the cold, dusty ground.
She looked behind her, knowing that he'd probably seen her wriggle out of her hiding place and escape. But she just had to get out of here. For Ashwhisker's sake. She only hoped he hadn't brought a whole group of his kind along with him.
Her breath billowed in white clouds, and chilled wind buffeted her snow-white fur. The weather was odd; the ground dry as if there was a drought, yet the air cold like winter. Her muscles shook underneath her pelt, and she only wished she could feel Ashwhisker's warmth beside her.

Oh Ashwhisker. Trying to focus on the area in front of her to push away the pain. One false step or dead end will be the end.
The dry ground scraped up her pads almost like the thorn bush with her white pelt. Wait, a second. I know it rained just yesterday. Why is the ground so dry? How far have I run? Glancing around her the dark forest grew more dense. Blocking out the starry sky and even most of the moon. Her tired mind wanted to zone, no longer think about what has happened in this past moon. Things she hoped that it was just a nightmare and that Ashwhisker, her Ashwhisker would return. Her limbs seemed to agree as she just noticed she was slowing down. "No." She quietly commanded herself and pressed on. The little burst of speed only lasted for maybe a few moments before she was slowing down again.
Turning her head around to see if he was gaining, her single ginger paw caught a root and sent her flying through the undergrowth. She only laid there for a half a second before forcing her exhausted limbs to lift her. Hearing his paws steps closing in, she darted to the left hoping to regain her step.
But there was no ground behind her... A cliff! The white she-cat didn't have air her lungs to scream as she fell into darkness.

She should've been dead. She didn't feel pain. Her exhausted body crashed into the ground, yet it felt like her whole body was numb.
Why was she alive?
She didn't want to open her eyes. She didn't want to expose her vision to the horrors that were nearby. Well...she was certain there were terrible things lurking, waiting for her to arise. The last thing she wanted to see was that monster, looming over her vulnerable form.
But her eyelids couldn't resist, and they slowly batted themselves open. Her vision was blurry, hazy, like fog. The only things she could make out was the orange dawn sunrise, the cliff she fell off of, tree branches clawing up at the sky, and two wide-eyed faces staring at her. Their voices were nearly indecipherable.
"What...happened to her...?"
"She needs....to get to safe...ty!"
Her nerves then tightened up suddenly, filling up with adrenaline. Her lips parted in a terrified shriek, and she thrashed around in fear as she felt a paw holding her down. A voice resounded in her ear, but it was nothing like the chilling voice of her pursuer. This was a female's, calm and soothing.
"Hey, c-calm down! It's alright...we're going to help you."
The she-cat snapped her head up, gasping for breath and staring around frantically with wide blue eyes. She felt something warm trickling down her face, and she realized that she might have hit her head on the way down. She still couldn't see very well, and it took a while for the flashing spots to leave her vision. She stared at the she-cat who spoke to her, her eyes wide as if she'd seen a ghost. "Wh-Wha...? Who...Who are you?"

"My name is Amulet, daughter of Beltezar." She responded calmly, now that her vision is starting to clear she could see her. She didn't look old enough to be a warrior, but not necessarily a young apprentice. Her fur was a tan-color with faint brown spots.
"I'm Gizmo!" The second cat voiced in. He must have been just barely been apprentice age, he still had his kitten fluff clinging to him. He wore a kittypet collar round his neck.
"Amulet... a kittypet..." Before she knew it her vision swayed again and she collapse to the ground. Her last thought before she fainted was of Ashwhisker.

Amulet blinked as the white she-cat feel into unconsciousness once more, her ears flattening slightly. "Oh dear...she must still be delirious from her fall." Sighing, she awkwardly slipped under the she-cat and hoisted her up on her back, the only way she could be carried without disturbance.
Gizmo blinked his child-like eyes in both concern and curiosity. "What's the matter?" He asked, cocking his head to the right. "She sick or somethin'?"
Amulet flicked her mottled tail at the younger cat in a 'follow me' gesture. "No, but she might be if we don't get her back to the Safe Haven. Let us get moving, and fast."
Gizmo nodded, trotting after her with a small spring in his tiny steps.

"She's from the out there?!" A yowl erupted the white she-cat out of her peaceful dreamless sleep. Annoyance pricked at her, it's been moons since she slept without nightmares plaguing her. She squinted her eyes shut to try to force herself back to sleep.
Amulet's voice reasoned, "We-we don't know for sure. Besides she would have died without our help."
Then a small paw prodded at the white she-cat's face. "I think she's awake." Gizmo's voice cheerfully mewed. Startled the white she-cat sprung from where she lay and fell awkwardly to her side.
"Ow." She hissed. Now getting a good look around the place. She saw she was in some sort of cave. The cave walls were unnatural as they were straight up and down. Cravings etched on the stone walls, and light came from high-end of the walls where large sticks were attached and flames sat on them like watchful owls. The whole place reeked of twolegs. "Wha- Where?" She growled, but the tom who rudely awoke her raised his tail to silence her.
"We speak the questions first!" He growled. "I'm Beltezar, and I'm not permitted to let you through till we know who you are. There has been strange events as of late, that we can't ignore. What's your name?"

The she-cat was bombarded by noise, taste, and smell all at once, and it took her a moment to process the large tom's words. "My...my name...?" She inquired, her voice hoarse as if she'd been swallowing sand.
Beltezar's nostrils flared, the blue-jewel necklace he wore thumping soundlessly against his chest at his movement. The she-cat was slightly dazzled by his jewelry, but her eyes immediately focused on his irritated face. "Yes, your name," he hissed curtly.
The she-cat blinked twice, shuffling her paws nervously. "S-Snowfeather," she blurted. "My name is Snowfeather..."
Rubbing her temple with a paw, Snowfeather looked at her pads and saw russet smudges smeared on them. At least her head wound wasn't bleeding anymore.
Gizmo blinked, his green eyes shining with curiosity. "Snowfeather? That's a weird name ya got..."
Amulet glared at the tiny tomcat, who promptly shrank down apologetically.

(I love how Gizmo is questioning Snowfeather's name, when there's a cat name Beltezar. XD)
Beltezar nodded briskly. "That's a clan name, if I'm not mistaken. Warrior clans may be fierce but honorable. What would bring you so far away from your clan?" His fur no longer standing on end, but Snowfeather could see the tension still didn't leave his muscles. She grit her jaw, not quite ready to answer.
After a moment of silence, Beltezar's patience ran out, "I can't let you into the Safe Haven, until we know that you're not here to harm us."
"Papa, she's injured." Amulet spoke bluntly, but her father waved his tail and gave her sad eyes.
"That didn't stop, Beige."
Gizmo's ear drooped at the sound of the name, and even Amulet looked again before she responded. "I-we don't know... He's wasn't himself."
Beltezar growled, "Him and hundred of fur balls just like him!"
Snowfeather's white ears perked along with her own fur rising when she realized what they were talking about. "The cult?"
Beltezar and Amulet froze. Slowly Amulet turned to Snowfeather and asked, "How do know?"
