Okay, so I was just browsing through the wiki and saw a blog from September discussing the whole Brightflower and Lilywhisker being in the Dark Forest thing, and I noticed that Su herself responded to the thread.

Well at least they shouldve put there some characters that had like.... 0 development, and not put odd reasons for better known cats that have history and we know something about them. Like, put there Whiteberry for example - we know nothing about him, he was just innocent-looking elder, but maybe he killed some cats before, we dont know - maybe that would work better than Brightflower being in df for having a quarrel with Yellowfang or Lilywhisker for being crippled. Example:
Whiteberry (helped to kill the leader before Heatherstar among some other cats)

I don't kniiw, honestly, why is almost everybody doing a drama about this. I'm pretty ok with them being in the Dark Forest if there's a story behind it. I mean, why not? I find really well that Su takes care about facts, family trees, and so.

I really feel like we're being too harsh on Su tbh. Maybe, but I'm still mad about the whole "picking a handful of cats, throwing them in hell, and explaining why they're there" However, I have calmed down about it. |

complaint: why did they bother to tell us the "reasons" if they weren't the reasons
like
"Brightflower's in the DF" okay that's weird tell me the story
"Brightflower's in the DF because she went insane" no thanks

like…okay, I'll wait for the story, sure, but if they're going to give bad reasons (even if they're not the full reasons) then people are probably not going to be happy with the reasons
I do think that some people are too harsh on Su since apparently she's not the actual creator of the information, but I also don't think that "there's more to the story" solves the problem of the given reasons

They should've given us no reasons with the promise that we would get them later. You aren't gonna calm the fans down by putting there vague reasons tha are obviously there only for what I would call damage control. |
