So far I'm pretty sure everyone noticed that. Cliché plot, plot used again, dumb decisions, characters being OOC, forced plot, bland characters, et cetera et cetera et cetera. It's now pretty clear that HarperCollins is basically pushing amd milking warriors like a cow.
Cliché plot - now like Velvet pointed out countless times, sibling jeslousy is very overused. It had been used in every second movie you can find on netflix, and that is something. It could've been written much better.
Plot used again - Ivypaw was kidnapped by ShadowClan and held hostage in an exchange for a herb that would cure ShadowClan's sickness. And guess what happens? The same thing happens in TAS, this time with Twigpaw. Bravo.
Dumb decisions - okay, one of the most ilogical decisions of warriors belongs to nobody else than Mistystar. What she said in TAQ that the kits may be separated was incredibly OOC. I mean, she herself was a mother and had an experience with kits, and her brother was killed so she knew very well the pain. It was just so forced.
Characters being OOC - like I said up there, there was Mistystar, and then there was Firestar. He was like "well yeah let ShadowClan take this piece of land" and then he immedietely believed Ivypaw and was like "durr hurr we take this back" and caused a deadly battle. He doesn't really roll in that way if you know what I mean. Incredibly forced.
Forced plot - basically what I said up there.
Bland characters - dear god. Where do I even start.
Now first of all there is Dovewing. Dovewing is an incredibly mary suish character. Now she is probably the most suish character in warriors. Look, I don't hate Dovewing, but you cannot argue that her development was awful. All senior warriors talked to her, all apprentices worshipped her, two warriors were obsessed with her, she got the absolutely strongest warrior as her mentor and to top it all off she is a prophecy cat with the weirdest power ever. She is whiny and petty, and hypocrite. There is seriously so much more wrong with this character. Now keep in mind I'm not critisizing Dovewing, I'm critisizing the Erins.
Then there is Spottedleaf. Jesus. Freaking. Christ. So first of all she is described as basically flawless (now keep in mind she doesn't even have close to mary sue). But even though she is not a sue, she is still an awfully written character. Want to know why? Because she is only there for plot and nothing else. Only so Firestar could have a love interest that would stalk him... Yeah. To me it sounds like something the author of My Immortal would do. Like, Erins, you make a completely blank character that dies in the very first book that stalks the protagonists and leads their way who is in love with the very first main and mainest character, that is there only to add to plot in FQ, and gets killed at the very "end". Now that I list it to myself it sounds even worse than in my head.
So does anyone have any different points?
