For those of you who've eaten there, what is it like? And why is it so great? I'm genuinely curious. This fast food restaurant chain has always been highly praised.
There are no In-N-Outs where I live. The closest one is in Medford, a 5 hour drive away, near the Oregon-California border. And that's the only location in this state that I know of.

I've never heard of it before. They're apparently all over the place in the United States, especially California.

I've eaten there a few times when i have a vacation on the mainland. it's honestly just a burger to me, idk why its so special? (i mean, its better than mcdonalds, burger king, wendys, and jack n the box, but it's still just a burger to me???)

OOC: Dude, they're amazing. Everything is made fresh, they have the best shakes ever, and my goodness their fries are literally the best. Like they just have really good quality food and back when I could eat it, I loved it.

when i lived in california we'd go there sometimes. It's just high quality fast food, better than most places but it doesn't live up to like 5 Guys and other places.
mcdonalds makes bad burgers, wendys makes okay burgers, in n out makes Good burgers but 5 guys makes Great burgers, if that makes sense.

when I traveled down to Cali this year I went to In-N-Out and honestly it was pretty good.
But seriously, piece of advice, if you ever get the chance to travel to western Washington please go to (other word for Richard)'s. I know it's a weird name but it's some of the best food I've ever had (the milkshakes are the bomb) and the service is almost instant. It's great.

The next time my family and I drive down to Northern California to visit family we'll probably stop there. We usually stop in Ashland for lunch but Medford's on the way. There should be one opening in Grant's Pass as well soon. It's not much closer to where I live, but it's a start. Why don't they open one in Hillsboro or Beaverton or something. At least Portland. I mean come on.
P.S
Burgerville in Oregon (and Washington I think) is great too.
Its expensive but the burgers a the best I've ever had.

I've only been to Washington twice despite it literally being right there. I went to Mt St Helens when I was 6 and a few years ago I went to Vancouver to help someone move. I've been to California loads of times because all of my family lives there with the exception of my mom, uncles, and grandparents. I'll see if I can go if I ever get the chance to go to Washington again.

i had it once and it was a mistake bc i guess there's some secret menu or something weird that contains the actual good food and not burgers consisting of only a really salty patty, a slice of cheese thrown on, and the bun. the fries were okay tho

I love them. They have one close to my aunt's house, so whenever we go there we always get a burger too. I wish they had one close to where I live, but they only seem to have them in the larger cities, because Dallas is the only place they seem to be located around here.

Don Giovanni: I have my own dinner parties in my mansion; why would I need a restaraunt? Leporello: They're interesting, to say the least. Especially the guests.

In n Out is the holiest of all burger chains. <3 All of the restaurants are laid out the same, or very nearly so. I think they're great because they're consistent; I love going there and they always get your order right. They're selective about who they hire, and the staff is very polite. Also their shakes are 10/10
(Tip from a former Californian: The fries are terrible unless you get them cooked "well" or "well-done", then they become divine manna. You're welcome)

They don't exist in the UK. The best place to go for fast good in the UK is the chippy just down the road from me.
