We finished one section of lecture, then dived into another. We only got to the surface of plants and fruit; mainly because the class was busy loosing their minds at the whole "what is or isn't fruit" topic. Professor: "If it has seeds, it's a fruit." Student: "Why are they classified as a vegetable?" Professor: "Because parents don't know any better." The entire class lost it at that... Mind blowing Quotes of the day: "Berries are not berries, they are aggregate fruit" "Blueberry and Cranberry are berries" Potato is a stem not a root Advcado is a berry Pumpkins are fruits "Jalapenos are fruit" "Potato's and Tomato's are classified as Nightshades" "Before fruits they are flowers." How goes it guys?

@spottedstar3137 xєяσ єємαι zσηтαησѕ ♬ Agreed! All this and much more is just mind blowing really. The way the professor was teaching the class really helped the moment. His tone, attitude and gestures to all the incoming questions was just so relieving. Especially when someone asked about strawberries. He looked away in shame while waving to the class calling the juicy red goodness "Freaks of nature" He ended the lecture by talking about what fruit really is, a flower + something a little more farfetched but by then that last half hour left the class raising their hands, and asking for more. We have a quiz on Tuesday he assured us that our sidetracked conversation will not be on the quiz, so that's a somewhat relief. xD

haha that sounds like it could be a movie Strawberries: The Freaks of Nature
XDDDD
but yeah that sounds so cool! My bio class mainly focused more on the human/animal part of it rather than plants, which is kinda unfortunate.

@spottedstar3137 Oh Gawd! "The Freaks of Nature" I can see it now. Just this giant strawberry attacking a city; everything it touches becomes a strawberry. Freaky Q.Q Well we too are mainly covering animal/humans but we have some time to squeeze in some plants. Mainly what he believes is important for us to remember 10+ years in the future when we're lost in the forest and needing to depend on plants for our survival. xD ❴ ғα∂ιηg ✦ яεαℓιтү ❵ Well that certainly gave me a good laugh! I'm not a science major, but I surely am enjoying every second of it. xD ๖ۣۜCrossroads Sorry to hear that! D: There's a bio professor on our campus who bought the powerpoint lectures from the book company. he doesn't look over it so he goes "click" "Oh maybe there's more" *Click* Next slide "Guess not" So his students just take pictures of every slide then go back and take notes.

Cheyenne Glad I blew your mind. ❴ ғα∂ιηg ✦ яεαℓιтү ❵ That's awesome! To have a HS teacher motivated I love it. Nonetheless; it's cool. ^.^ I had a bio teacher in HS who didn't let anyone run her class. She would remind you who she is, who you are then use biology vocab terms to burn you. Rap battles were savage in her class. I had a Disney Actor in my class at the time; we weren't allowed to beat him up. Well-she wasn't allowed to beat him up LOL Then she has a moose head on the wall. She decorates it all year round. ๖ۣۜCrossroads Oh golly have I had those classes. I'm a history major, but I also want to be a teacher. So I have had some professors more then once. In some semesters I've had them twice/three times in the same semester. The first day of class is always like "You again?" With a quirky smile xD

I almost failed biology. I couldn't dissect anything cause I would have an attack of some sort and it was a big part of the grade. The teacher was annoyed cause I wouldn't be able to be anywhere near the dissection cause of the smell and people talking about it. It was the worst part of high school I'm glad I don't have to do that in college.

I learned that in fifth, maybe even fourth, grade. That's great if you did! Just gotta recall that everywhere is different. Small town vs. big city; suburbs vs. outskirts. Culture vs. Community. Some places or should I say most places label vegetables and fruits differently. Which hence began the conversation of "Mind blowing" in our lecture hall. ❴ ғα∂ιηg ✦ яεαℓιтү ❵I can't keep up with your replies!! LOL >.< qυeeɴ oғ ɢнoѕтlιɴɢѕSorry to hear that deary. >.<

@spottedstar3137 We sure are suckers for entertainment. Grab a strawberry, 3d effects, green screen, people screaming, and epic music. That'll bring in the big ones. Or- we can ask the forums to animate it. :3 That might be just as good too. xD ๖ۣۜCrossroads ❴ ғα∂ιηg ✦ яεαℓιтү ❵ It's not a core class, it's one of my major classes. An education class. But as vague as that sounds, the assignment is pretty easy. Mainly because I already did the majority of it. "Create a site, include lesson plans teacher stuff; blah blah blah" What I skipped was rules. :3 I have to "Make rules" I'm thinking of rules, but I was like "Maybe I can take this in an RP approach" Making rules for an RP in this case a classroom setting for students. Either that or I google teacher syllabi

Auransky i would make a syllabus, it's longer, but it's more descriptive and gives more than just rules, it gives expectations and consequences/punishments for bad behavior or being unprepared. It's recommended for high school and possibly middle school classes, but I don't know what kind of class you're teaching and how old the students will be.

๖ۣۜCrossroads I do agree with you on that, but this assignment is a hypothetical settup. No real students involved; it's just a way for us to get our feet wet. How to apply everything through technology, how to use Microsoft, Weebly, Prezi and everything else that might come to use. We will have to make a Syllabus later, but for now this is just a webpage skeletal outline that needs rules and policies for a hypothetical situation. due tonight no less. Q.Q ❴ ғα∂ιηg ✦ яεαℓιтү ❵ I'll try my best to get it done by tonight xD @spottedstar3137 I can picture you dressing up as a straberry now. Q.Q Just going around scaring people and all. Soon there will be people dressing up as strawberries all over the world. O.o qυeeɴ oғ ɢнoѕтlιɴɢѕJoin the club >.< I make my way through the class because of the exams; thankfully.
