Yeah, we need some decent landmarks. I don't really have a lot of ideas though.

Man i love the name Stardrop Cavern
as for landmarks... if they're in the mountains, then there can be a lot of redwood trees, right? fairy circles are super cool - basically a ring of trees as something is in the center (actually born from a tree cut down and grow surrounding where it stood) hollow trees are also neat, after being burned in a forest fire or something? maybe a rundown barn, just a mess of wood

Yeah, and for Rainclan there might also be a 'stone forest'(graveyard) closer to the two-leg place
For Echoclan another landmark could be a room that is filled with stalagmites and stalactites, and maybe a few halls that have them that the cats use for practicing navigating the caves, especially for older kits and younger apprentices

Yeah I always like using graveyards, it's interesting to see how the cats interpret them. That's a good one. Maybe also a water tower. Obviously there's the farms as well for RainClan, so two farmhouses and three barns/stables I think is what I had put in the description. Maybe they steer clear of the farmhouses themselves because there are dogs, but going in the barns and pastures is fine.
As for OakClan, I guess there could be redwoods, but there aren't in the Appalachian Mountains where I'm basing the territory. Doesn't mean we can't include them though, because obviously it doesn't have to be 100% realistic. But some good landmarks could be small ravines, cliffs, boulders, streams, hollows or hills, etc. Small meadows are also not uncommon. And a hollow tree or burned area could definitely also be a thing. There could also be the dirt road that come from the twolegplace. Something that just occurred to me is that in the Appalachians, there is quite a lot of hunting- mostly turkey, deer, hog, and bear. Coyote is also not uncommon but you can't do anything with those and their pelts aren't even that nice in the south so most people only kill them as nuisance animals. But anyways, there would likely be hunters in the territory at times (not 100% certain what the seasons are, I would have to look to figure out when. Pretty bear is fall, and I think that might also be buck season. Most things, really, have a season in fall) so depending on what they're hunting they might have blinds, stands, dogs, and of course guns or bows. This would definitely be more in the mountains and not really in the valley, so very much an OakClan-exclusive problem. So there might be times when they're very cautious about going out and very protective of the camp because there are twolegs about and you might not always smell them because they disguise their scents somehow, and you might not see them until they get close, and they sometimes have dogs and loud sticks. So when they hear the baying of hunting hounds echoing through the mountains, they know it's time to stay in camp just in case.
As for EchoClan: yeah, there could be a room that's filled with a lot of rocks and stalagmites and that kind of stuff but is fairly safe, and so they take young apprentices there to practice their footing and their reactions before allowing them into the more dangerous parts of the cave. All the entrances to the caves are obvious landmarks, and of course the ravine as their only real surface territory besides the boulders they sort-of share with OakClan. There could perhaps be a couple places where a bit of light shines through part of the rocks somewhere, and perhaps there's one kind of near the camp where queens will take their newborn kits at dawn or dusk- some time with dull light that won't hurt their eyes- to give them just enough light for them to not go completely blind. It could almost be some kind of ritual: after the kits are a few hours old and strong enough to move, their parents and close family (littermates, grandparents, aunts/uncles, very close friends, or whatever) will carry the litter to the place and set them in the light. And that's where they name them, because it's the first time they can actually SEE the kits.

Obvious the boulders near the Echoclan's cave would be a landmark, and mostly Oakclan stays away from there at night in case the other clan is performing a vigil, give them peace and privacy in a time of grief. Hunting season might also play into their 'holiday', they want the kits born in a time that has no two-legs around to possibly harm them
Maybe hunting could play a role in when Rainclan hunts as well, since the two-legs in the farmhouses are gone a lot in this season, they might be a bit more willing to get closer to better hunting till the two-legs and their dogs come back. Obviously this is only when they notice that the two-legs and the dogs are gone and they don't actively wait for the two-legs to leave everyday
I like the small ritual, it makes sense for the close family to want to keep the kits from going blind. It would make sense for them to show the kits the safest path to the light so they can take the kits there multiple times as they grow older. With the Stardrop cavern, does the river flow down into the caves? There could be a room where the river is able to be seen again, it acts as a guide to be able to know if they are going the right way for Stardrop cavern, but other then that, it isn't visited due to the dangers of falling into the river

Yeah, OakClan wouldn't want any young kits in the camp during hunting season, in case they have to flee camp quickly or hide when dogs or twolegs or any other enemy comes near.
As for the Stardrop Cavern, I had intended for the stream to just flow out of the caves and meet with the river, but I suppose part of it could flow deeper into the cave, yes. Perhaps that's the part of the stream called "Deepriver," since you did say you liked that name. There could perhaps be another pond or lake deep underground that's known only to EchoClan, probably filled with blind fish and the like.

That might also help their lack of prey, at least give them a bit more to help support the clan better

Yeah. Sorry, just realized I never responded to this lol. Alright, so, what landmarks do we have now?
RainClan: graveyard, water tower, farms. I feel like we need at least one or two natural landmarks though.
OakClan: actually I don't think we came up with anything definitive, just a few potential types of landmarks.
EchoClan: light cavern, training cavern, underground lake, Stardrop Cavern.
I'm gonna try to work on the map again and see if I can get the program to actually work this time.

Hm, it's a bit harder in the mountain, you don't end up with interesting stuff other then the possible 'fairy circle', a clearing and a burnt tree. Good luck on the map!

I'm like half done with the map at this point. Also, I think how I'm gonna do the allegiances is sort of like I said before, having different "slots." Exactly how it will be is all the cats will have a name, age, gender, two appearance traits (mostly small things, like blue eyes or white paws) and a single, vague personality trait. The name is 100% filler and can be changed when you join. The appearance and personality traits can't be changed, but you can make them more specific. Like if it said blue eyes, you could specify light blue or dark blue, for example.

Hey sorry I haven't been here in like... a really long time. I've been busy and this sort of slipped my mind.
Anyways, with that said, I think we're pretty much ready to actually make the Clans. I'll get working on them and I'll let you know if there's anything still missing.

The current allegiances for each Clan is as follows. Feel free to start claiming them.
Change of plan from before. Can't contradict of change any information given, but you CAN expand on it, add to it, and make it more specific.

Sorry! Everything went down with my laptop and I had to spend time looking for a new one. Luckily it comes in on Tuesday so I will be 100x more active come Wednesday. I have to pick up my old laptop's hard drive and I will be ready to go. I am about to read through the alliances. I just wanted to post a quick update.

Hey, sorry I didn't reply last night. The Clans are actually up, though they're not 100% complete (still missing territory & camp descriptions), but the pages are up and open for joining. Though, no one's joined yet.
I'll just summarize the cats that I claimed, though, so you don't have to sort through the Clan pages and figure it out. I claimed four cats from each Clan: Bluefoot, Birchfur, Whitewhisker, and Snowheart of OakClan; Longfur, Ice-eyes, Nightfire, and Tabbywing of RainClan; and Coldfoot, Grayshadow, Mosspaw, and Toadhop of EchoClan.
Here's a link to Moonlight Hollow, which has links to all the Clans.
