"That's good to hear. Are you hungry? I can get you something at the movies if you are." He offered. Jacob knew that there was something about movie theaters that always made you want to buy popcorn, even if you weren't hungry enough to eat any. After all, he fell for it nearly every time. Maybe they put something in the popcorn that made you want to keep eating it. Like that thing in cigarettes that gets you addicted to smoking. There's another thing to add to his conspiracy theories: nicotine-like substances in popcorn.

Asa eyes widened a little when she gave her response. Annabelle obviously had no clue how much the typical prisoner ate. It wasn't near the recommended amount for humans if one wanted to maintain a stable rate of food intake and regulated nutrition. "Suit yourself then. Your next meal will be when Lewis remembers. After that...we'll see." He said with uncertainty laced in his voice and a nod of his head as if he had just come to the conclusion of something. "Are you allergic to anything?" Asa felt as if he was giving her a medical exam of sorts. He remembered being asked that question when he first decided to live on the sea. Asa was aergic to a certain foods though: mint. Nothing that contained mint he was deathly allergic to it, but his life wouldn't be in danger unless he were to actually eat it. "Not that I know of," Annabelle said dully. She didn't really have much basis for this however, her family usually ate the same ten meals over and over. Their cook was getting old and their wasn't much in town to change it up. Annabelle didn't really mind, she had experimented a little with cooking only to find out she was terrible at it. From then on she never complained, simply letting Lois deal with it. Her mother used to be fantastic at cooking, she'd always find something new and strange for them to try, often being from foreign soil. Annabelle missed those days, when she couldn't guess what each hour would present and have nothing to look forward to but the same bland plate. Annabelle noticed he had said 'when Lewis remembers'... Lewis was the one that Asa had shown some level of distrust for, maybe she could use that to her advantage somehow. He seemed to be a nice kid last time they spoke, if she kept to a plan she might be able to find a way to escape... but then again, she didn't want to make Lewis's life any harder than it already was. She'd have to be careful, especially if they were going to spend more time on sea than by land.

{I was thinking, what if Lewis started sneaking her food and stuff and then he got caught? What should his punishment be if we go with that?}

[ hmmm... maybe he has to help out in the kitchen? Like he has to scrub the floors and cut potatoes all day? I honestly don't really know, because he's probably already swabbing the decks ]

There's another thing to add to his conspiracy theories: nicotine-like substances in popcorn. Fia shook her head forcefully. "You don't need to do that." She argued, almost automatically. Obviously, she knew it didn't look like she should be skipping many meals, but she did that to get by. She didn't have the money, and she wouldn't be owing anyone anything. That was a dangerous position. "'Sides. Movie theatre food is so expensive they're practically robbin' you." One of the wonders of the world was why theaters got away with inflating their prices so much. Who in their right mind would allow that?

"I insist. Plus, it would be my parent's money. Which they have plenty of." Jacob turned down the street and passed a small shopping center. This street was less in the ghetto, which he liked much more than he other side of town. It felt safer over here, and like most people, Jacob liked breathing. "So, whether or not you want me to buy you food, I'm going to do it anyway."

Fia rolled her eyes. "That's horrible." She answered with a snicker. "Wasting their money like that! You're gonna have to take care of them when they're old instead your sister the way you're going..." Thinking, she added. "There's no way I'm letting you but any gross hotdogs or fake cheese though. Candy and slurpees only." Less gross stuff that would make her stomach turn without pushing against everything the man said.

"She won't be taking care of them either, they'll be rich enough by that time to hire a butler or two. And don't worry, I'll get you what you want." Jacob told her with a smile. His parents had plenty of cash, Jacob knew they would hardly notice a twenty dollars difference among all of their hundreds.

His parents had plenty of cash, Jacob knew they would hardly notice a twenty dollars difference among all of their hundreds. (Let me know if quoting is annoying. It's easier on my phone this way.) "Not if they intentionally want to trouble you." Fi responded. "I mean, I'd totally do something like if I ever had kids. Harassment is how I show love." The last sentence went with a hand over her heart for emphasis, chipped black nail polish and all. Some wind started up, and she started tangling her already mussed curly hair into a bun. The raven-haired girl couldn't stand her hair blowing everywhere, and this was actually one of the rare times she'd worn it down in years in the first place.

Mason was just waiting for the announcement that the new humans would be arriving at their school. There would be a group of freshman, and him being a Sophmore, he knew he could take advantage of a couple human girls. He's done it plenty of times and they were all dead. His thirst for blood never seemed to end and especially that of human girl's. It was thick enough, and not too sweet. Even though the school gave them blood already, it was not enough for Mason. It never seemed to be enough.
He couldn't stop staring at the door, a smile creeping across his lips as he waited for the new kids to arrive into his Geometry class. He ran a hand through his moussed black hair, making sure it was in order. The teacher was saying something but Mason wasn't listening, he was too excited.

Cassie wondered why her parents thought it was a good idea to send her to a predominantly vampire school. Despite their reassurance that she would be safe, there was a part of her that doubted she would be safe. She would be one of a few humans surrounded by vampires, and the thought unsettled her. But of course, one couldn't figure that out by looking at her. She had done her makeup as she normally would - just enough to look put together with the exception of thin winged liner - and she had no intention of dressing differently either. She wore dark jeans, a cream-colored top, and heeled boots that gave her four and a half inches of additional height - and the short girl would take whatever she got.
Cassie let out a breath and adjusted her backpack on her shoulder as she stepped into the classroom. She stood by the door for a moment before heading toward an empty desk as quickly as she could. She didn't want to be called to the front and forced to introduce herself to the class. She was already uneasy, and being forced into doing something might send her into a fit of yelling and swear words.

It took everything Mason had in him to not smile even wider when he saw a human come through the door. It was easy to detect the difference, it was like a hard wired instinct within their breed. The teacher looked up from the board and to the door where the new girl stood. "Welcome, you can take a seat next to Mason over there." The teacher told her simply, not wanting to interrupt the class longer than she had to. Mason did let the smile show through this time. The poor human. Oh well, Mason wasn't one to feel guilty, especially for humans.

Cassie nodded once in the teacher's direction before taking a seat at the desk beside Mason. She set her backpack on her lap and opened it to pull out a notebook and a pencil. She set her supplies on the desk and her backpack on the floor as she turned her attention to the teacher and the board. She hadn't looked over at Mason or any of her neighbors yet because she didn't want to remind herself of where she was. Instead, she briefly crossed her legs at her ankles before uncrossing them. The girl then pushed a hand through her dark hair as she let out a quiet sigh to herself.

Mason watched her sit down and cross her legs and then uncross them. Was she nervous? That shouldn't even be a question, not only was she in a school filled with vampires but she was considered advanced because she was in the Geometry class instead of Algebra 1. Perhaps he could cloud her judgment.
"Okay everyone, today I feel somewhat nice and will let you work in the books with partners. Get to it." The teacher set down the whiteboard marker and went over to her desk and promptly began typing on the computer. Mason already knew which pages to turn to, but the knew girl wouldn't.
He leaned over to her desk, "Hey. Did you want to work together?" Mason tried to put on a charming smile for her. Perhaps that would make her feel more comfortable.

Cassie nearly jumped in her seat as Mason spoke to her. Before looking at him, she gently shook her head in attempt to clear it of her unease. She gently bit her lower lip and let out a sigh before looking at him. "Sure," she said, somewhat comfortable now. He didn't seem all bad. Maybe all her fears were in her head. She then swore under her breath as she realized she didn't have a textbook. "Well, I guess I don't have any other option. I don't have a textbook."

Mason smiled as he saw her jump, his fangs appearing. She was definitely jittery, and Mason knew he would keep her on her toes. Even while he played his little game of prince charming. "Well, I've got you covered." Mason picked up his desk and set it close to her's so they could both look at his book. As he started writing down one of the problems on his notebook paper he spoke, "So, I'm Mason if you didn't know that already. Who are you?" Mason looked up at her with his dark eyes for a second before looking down at his paper again. X equals negative b, plus or minus the square root... Mason was talking to himself inside of his head. He often repeated what he was doing inside of his head, it helped it memorize things.
