One of my teachers sent an email to my mom about my depression. Said it was part of her job. She would feel bad to not get me help. But I don't want help. I'm just going to wait for my mom to get it. I might get out of it by saying it's not that bad or something. Ugghhghhhhhg I don't want my mom to worry about me

When did your depression begin? If you don't mind me asking, sorry, I'm curious

I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to depression, could you give me a basic run down of it? I wouldn't know who to talk to about it

I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to depression, could you give me a basic run down of it? I wouldn't know who to talk to about it Um, you could always do some online research about it. I can tell you a bit about it, but it's different for everyone. Firstly, you don't need a reason. Just getting that out of the way. It's not as if we feel sad all the time, but many times we feel exhausted. Or sad. Or both. You have a weight change, your eating habits change, sleep patterns change, you get negative thoughts running through your head. For me, I feel like no one should care about my problems, because they aren't important enough to fix. I feel like I don't deserve to get help and not feel like this. You feel really heavy a lot of the time, and it's mentally, emotionally, and physically draining. Getting triggered is awful. Triggering is when a certain event or word or memory gets you into a panicky, often pretty scary state. Usually happens to me when depression is mentioned, or I think of a potentially bad situation that hasn't happened yet, or when I'm reminded of homework I didn't do. I start to shake, I feel like I'm not real or I lose reality, and my heart starts beating. It isn't fun. This probably didn't help much. The rest of the internet is better at explaining.

It's natural for moms to worry - it's what moms do. It might be good for you to get help, and maybe talk to your mom about it if she brings it up. Sometimes you need to let people care for your own sake and the sake of others too. Best of luck, and I hope you feel better♡

My teacher's concerned for me, that's all. I understand why I need to get help, but I just don't want to.
