So they were friends in Codes of Clans, during the story of Cloudberry and Ryewhisker.

Emberstar was the leader of RiverClan and Thistletail was a warrior of ThunderClan.

Emberstar was a tom and Thistletail a she-cat...were they really just friends? or more?

I assume they were just friends... Since Emberstar didn't seem too bothered by the first code being made and agreed with it.

Maybe there was something before he became leader.
