I wanted to do this thread for a while now.
Let's start with something simple - Mapleshade and Ashfur. They did the exact same thing. And yet one of them ended up in Dark Forest and one in StarClan? Why? The answer is above obvious. Author bias.
Now, let's be honest, if by this logic one of them should be in different residence than the other, I think Mapleshade should be the one in StarClan because she lost so much more than Ashfur imho.
Imho, Erins wanted to give the fandom one less reason to hate Mapleshade by giving her sad sob story and make Ashfur into StarClan with the argument "oh he loved way too much and we are StarClan and know the best!". Erins, the fandom isn't filled with five year olds. Many of Warriors fans are actually very mature and they easily detect when something is forced.
Now, I always had feeling Bluestar should be in Dark Forest by that logic, I know it sounds ridiculous now, but hold on. If other leader, Leopardstar for example, woulf go insane and do all the things Bluestar did, would she go to StarClan? No! Because It's the noble and good Bluestar, she has to go to StarClan because we would disappoint so many fans!
