Did anyone else get the feeling when reading The First Battle that Tom may have forced Turtle Tail to mate with him?

I never did but it's been a while since I've read the book.
I always saw their relationship as Turtle wanted to get over Gray so she slept with Tom thinking she could fall in love with him and learn to deal with his behavior but it obviously didn't work out, but it was too late for her because she was already pregnant.

I don't think so...I agree with @twisterheart. Turtle Tail was so upset that she went with anyone, including a d-bag like Tom. She was desperate to feel loved and accepted i think.

My personal theory is that Turtle Tail was desperate enough for affection to hang with Tom, but eventually realized what a crapsack he was. Turtle Tail tried to leave, and Tom "punished" her, if you know what I mean.
Idk though. I definitely get that vibe, but the evidence goes both ways.

I didn't think that while reading, but recent conversations has made me think it is a possibility. When I was reading, I kind of got more of a sense that Tom never wanted kits and he took that out on Turtle Tail.
