the Manor Althaus Manor is a beautiful structure upon an estate of only a few hundred acres, with the main property close to the gates and the dirt road that leads to the town. A huge yard opens in front of the building, which the residents of the town can see from their homes, and the huge looming building that is Althaus Manor. The grass is taken care of by gardeners who the townspeople never see. The front of the home is covered in vines with blooming pink flowers, the vines climbing up to the roof. A tree sits near the middle of the left of the yard with a swing hanging from it. Behind the manor is a lake, residing beside the stables where the Althaus Manor steeds are kept. Trees take up the back part of their property, making perfect for hide and seek for the children - and the perfect place to hide a body. The front doors are made of grand oak, with the gold family emblem on the center of each door, handles with the face of a dragon also have door knockers that echo throughout the home. Upon first entering the home you'll find a long elegant staircase leading down to marble floors and up to oak railings and many long hallways. The home has so many rooms and hidden passage ways, there's way to many to describe. The residents of the manor, the ownership, live on the second and third floors, in the east wing. Privileged Guests stay in the west wing of the second floor, Regular guests stay in the west wing of the third floor. Travelers stay on the fourth floor. The fifth floor is where the children play and is pretty much just a huge open room with no other doors leading to rooms. The first floor has a huge, beautiful ballroom perfect for balls that are never held. The Master's office is also on the first floor, near the front. Near the back is the kitchen and sleeping quarters of the staff. Very few people enter the sixth floor, as the door leading to it is locked and only the master has it. And very few people enter the basement, where the furnice is, besidse the staff who sneak down there in the night to whisper ghost stories and gossip.the Family
They've been here for decades. Deiter's great great great grandfather built the home with his bare hands and fought tooth and nail to keep it. His great great grandmother raised the first Althaus horses, mares and geldings, and stallions of near perfection, which made them much money in selling for those who needed them for travels or races. The family didn't begin opening the home to travelers, however until Deiter's grandfather made friends with one who was in desperate need of help and from then on, the manor became a home for passerbyers. The home was here before the village. The village grew near the home but never close enough to trespass on the land. When his grandfather was a young boy there was a scandal that one of his wifes - as his grandfather had many wifes - was murdered by another but the death was never officially reported. Then, rumors began to circulate about spirits haunting the halls and the like. Deiter's father, a strict man of Deiter's grandfather's first wife, married one women and together they had three children - much to their dismay, as many children were highly prized. Two out of three died at a young age and the oldest, Deiter, soon took over the home and married a young woman of high standing. Not much else is known about the family.
