I personally don't like her all that much. She was a terrible leader in my opinion, and almost destroyed RiverClan because of her poor choice. She got her deputy killed as a result of her foolishness, probably scarred Mistyfoot, Stormpaw, and Featherpaw for life, and nearly brought the downfall of the forest by giving Tigerstar the strength he needed. If Scourge hadn't been such a skilled fighter, who knows what would have become of the forest?
Thoughts on her?

This was horrible yes, and Leopardstar really shouldn't have let her own personal feelings get in the way of making such a huge decision, but she couldn't really do anything to stop Stonefur from being executed. Tigerstar was the one who held full control, and the latter made it clear that he would kill anyone who disobeyed him. Leopardstar felt guilty about it afterwards, and no longer trusted her own judgement as a result. She made the alliance not only because she thought it would be for the good of her Clan, but also because she was in love with Tigerstar. None of the other Clans knew exactly what Tigerstar had done to deserve exile until Firestar had told them when BloodClan had arrived, and she regretted this decision literally for the rest of her life.
She even made Mistystar her deputy to try to make up for it and even thought of her as a daughter. Plus, she also felt like she never deserved forgiveness, especially from her.
Had Leopardstar stepped in to stop Stonefur from being killed, then it would've only made things worse as RiverClan would've been left without both a leader and deputy. It should also be noted that she grieved when Stonefur died.
The past can't be rewritten and Leopardstar has made bad choices, but she's made up for them. Besides, there have been worse leaders than her. After all, this was the same cat who helped ThunderClan when the forest caught fire, let Hawkpaw and Mothpaw stay in RiverClan, let Sasha visit whenever she wished, and also allowed WindClan to drink from the stream.
Leopardstar made incredibly poor choices in life, but she's really not that bad of a cat.

𝓣𝓲𝓷𝓾𝓿𝓲𝓮𝓵 I'm not saying she's bad, but she showed extremely poor judgment in making the TigerClan alliance, which was a mistake that almost cost her all of RiverClan. In love with Tigerstar or not, she should have known better than to make such a risky decision. Any cat could look at Tigerstar and see that he was power-hungry and bloodthirsty.

Well, I wouldn't say that. After all, no one in ThunderClan besides Ravenpaw, Firestar, and Graystripe knew of ThunderClan's treachery. They only found out until towards the end of the third book and even then they didn't believe Firestar or Bluestar at first. Even Firestar had his doubts that Tigerstar was evil at times. And as I said, the other Clans weren't aware of Tigerstar's actions at all either until BloodClan came to the forest and RiverClan only became aware of just how bad Tigerstar was after the alliance. Tallstar was aware that Tigerstar was just being greedy, but it seemed like he wasn't aware of just how bad he really was until Gorsepaw was killed. Sasha wasn't aware of Tigerstar's actions either until she overheard him plotting with his Clanmates. My point is, no, not just any cat could see just how bad Tigerstar was just by looking at him, not even his own Clanmates.

Perhaps not before FoS, but afterwards his arrogance became much more obvious. His public challenging of Bluestar, his allowing Blackfoot to not only return to ShadowClan but to become his deputy, and the fact that I can't believe no cat noticed any of the things he did between FoS and ADP.

I can't believe it either, but his arrogance clearly wasn't all that obvious if ShadowClan trusted him well enough in Tigerclaw's Fury and the same goes for RiverClan until it was too late.

Either that or everyone was just blind.

I like her a lot. She's not the best leader around, but she isn't terrible to me. I think she has an interesting character and I want a super edition about her.
