Doesn't anyone think it's strange how Slash probably allows Fern Leaf to eat?
"We guessed," Gray Wing growled darkly. "He's been stealing our prey again."
"I know." Fern dropped her gaze. "I've never eaten so well." - Path of Stars, page 103.
Why would Slash let Fern Leaf eat his prey when he treated her so harshly in A Forest Divided? Especially since we saw how he let his "weak" group mates go hungry by giving them small pieces of food.
Also, did Slash even punish Fern leaf for lying to him about there being prey when there really wasn't? In A Forest Divided, Fern Leaf told Slash that there was prey somewhere to distract him long enough for the cats to prepare for battle. And yet when Slash must have gone there to hunt prey, surely there wasn't any prey...? Especially since it mentioned in the book that Fern Leaf LIED to him. I can show you guys proof, if you'd like.
So...thoughts on this?
(Also, this is my first rant ever, so I hope I didn't do too badly...)

Well, it was shown while Thunder and Lightning Tail were spying on the camp that Slash gave his cats just enough food to survive. The cats won't starve to death, but they are much more susceptible to disease and weaker in battle, which was pointed out after Stone and Beech died.
(That wasn't a bad rant. You wrote enough to prove your point, but didn't add in anything unnecessary. Good job.)
