So as the title says, what are your beliefs and thoughts about souls? Do they exist? If so, are they permanent? What happens to them after death? etc.

Souls do not exist, and after death, we simply cease to be. It's terrifying, but I wouldn't be able to get myself to believe anything else.

I don't really believe anything. We might have afterlife, we might not, who knows? I am an atheist, but we have energy that leaves us when we die. The energy must go somewhere. Perhaps the energy goes into another living organism, and that may contribute to a fox or a tree or even grass, but that energy will benefit the earth. In a way, we do live on through energy, even though I don't really worry about life after death when I have a life to live first.

I don't believe in anything supernatural.
This includes the afterlife and souls.
I'll use them in a figurative sense, like "it'll be a cold day in hell before ____". No one knows whether those things exist or not, it cannot be proven or disproven. However it is my personal belief that they do not.

I mean, ghosts exist so souls exist. When we die, our souls rise up and go to heaven, h---- or pugitory. Sometimes spirits get lost on their way of have unfinished business, so they stay on Earth as ghosts. I also believe we can choose to re reincarnated.

I'd like to think we have them, or something like them. I don't see a single point in dying tbh. If that makes sense.

I believe souls exist, but otherwise, I'm agnostic. When people say that something is a certain way, or that "this isn't real," or, "this is real," I can't stand it. I prefer when people say, "I believe that this is/isn't real." Otherwise when you just say, "There is an after life," or, "There's no such thing," it sounds like your in people's face about it. It comes across as, "I believe this and I'm right and your wrong." Which is why I dislike talking to some of my friends at lunch. They are so caught up in their own beliefs, they don't understand that there's someone who has a hard time with people and religion, especially when they're arguing about it. Sometimes it's my atheist friends who start it and other times it's my Christian friends. Once I almost cried in front of them because of it.

I believe souls do exist, and they are permanent unless destroyed with a great power. I also believe that there is a way to "capture" a soul to add power to spell casting or similar rituals (Though since I think I'm the only one here with belief in magick, I'm probably the only one here with this belief)

I absolutely do believe in souls and the afterlife. However, I see it more as a figurative/metaphorical thing, I guess you could say? I've always seen spirit and soul as different things, and I personally think that your soul is more of an abstract thing that affects the way you act, much like emotion, whereas your spirit is what later moves on beyond this world.
That may be because of my native language, as in Swedish the word for soul (själ) is most comonly used to refer to how someone is as a person - their personality, intelligence, emotions and psyche - and the word for spirit (ande) is used to descirbe who they are - life-force, supernatural, what lives on after death -in a way that doesn't quite match English, but I like to think it has more to do with belief.

Interesting. I'm sort of flipped-flopped-- spirit is our essence, what affects us, whereas our soul is the undying part of us.

I believe we become spirits, or as some may call them "ghosts". I do believe in the afterlife. But I do not believe in a Heaven or Hell.

i kind of believe in reincarnation, though i doubt it's likely. my beliefs are just a big jumbled mess tbh lol
in short, i would like to hope theres an afterlife and that we have souls and once we fufill our purpose, no matter how many lives we have to live through, we can rest. but, i actually believe theres nothing there and after death we're just all rad skeletons having a great time being dead and being a skeleton

souls exist. they're ... semi-permanent. after death they must go through a period of cleansing before being allowed into heaven, reincarnated, or to roam around without ill effects. souls can change kinda, in that a human soul can change into a different "species".
stuff like that.
