This might be tmi, but I need to vent because im upset. okay so for years i have been taking medication to prevent my periods because they're really bad and they were putting my health at risk. this medicine makes so i only get three or four a year. well my doctor screwed up my prescription so i have nothing to take anymore until she fixes it and idk when that will be. i'm so upset about this because i literally just got off one last week and now i'm going to get another one and it's going to be so terrible and long because there is no medication to ease it up. these things are the worst part of my life. im miserable every single day and i cant do anything. i cant leave my house. i cant sleep. i cant do anything.
i want to cry

I just rest as much as possible. A heating pad on your abdomen also helps, take pain relievers the night before or as soon as you feel pain

I'm so miserable right now. I'm not in any pain. I'm just bleeding so much. I've almost gone through a whole pack since yesterday morning and this is only the second day and there's no sign of it letting up. I can't sleep. I've lost a ton of weight too since yesterday. I've been about 138-140 these past few months and now I'm at 133. The biggest thing about this though is sleep. It's 1pm and I havent gone to sleep yet because I have a hard time staying asleep. I wake up every hour or every other hour. This sucks. :/

Before I got on a pill my periods were very heavy where it felt like i had to wear a diaper to prevent bleeding onto my clothes and the cramps where absolutely unbearable. Here's what I suggest:
-Make sure you have those big overnight pads. -Have a heating pad nearby. -I would go on vitamin supplements to help with stress. Zinc is supposed to be especially helpful, but I also take magnesium and a b vitamin complex. -If you are in a safe state of mental health, take slow-release melatonin. You can take up to 10mg. -Caffeine is a double-edge sword, be careful -Stay away from food with nitrates like hot dogs and lunch meats. -Dark chocolate is always good to have nearby because of the antioxidants. Also it gives you something -Take it easy, you don't need unnecessary stress.

I would assume that it would be heavy after not having one for a while so maybe your body is trying to get rid of whatever it can. The second day is going to be just as, if not slightly less heavy than the first day. It's not until maybe the third day (occasionally the fourth) can really notice it lightens up. This is from my experience though, mine usually last 6-7 days
