"Of course. I would expect my apprentice to train his apprentice as firmly as I trained him." Spiderfang shot a glance at the younger tom, nodding in approval. Ratmask was many things, but it was clear that the tom had earned alot of respect from his apprentice, and had trained her confidence. "Some of the apprentices are clearly more adept to hard work than others." She grunted.
Lilypaw stopped in her ruckus after a while, panting from her effort. She felt heat in her pelt, knowing she probably had looked ridiculous. Well, she supposed it would all matter on if he caught someting or not. Feeling hopeful, she slipped back towards where she had left him.

Ratmask snorted. "Ain't that the truth. I hardly see Coalpaw or Strikepaw doing anything anymore."
"Huh," Houndthroat looked from his catch to Lilypaw, his expression betraying how impressed he was. "It actually worked."

Ratmask snorted. "Ain't that the truth. I hardly see Coalpaw or Strikepaw doing anything anymore." "Huh," Houndthroat looked from his catch to Lilypaw, his expression betraying how impressed he was. "It actually worked." "It would be grand if Ashrock did his job as a mentor for once." Spiderfang growled. Of all of Ashrock's grievances, it was the lack of attention to his apprentice that had made Spiderfang the most aggressive. "He has one of the greatest privileges in the clan, to train another cat, and he's wasting it. As for Strikepaw, I'll be more than happy to teach him a move or two while my kits are busy with their older sister." She huffed. Lilypaw's eyes flickered with surprise, before she bounced on her paws. "Yes!" She exclaimed, excited for her plan working, only for her fur to go hot once more as she realized she was jumping like a kit. She coughed, fixing herself as she mewed. "Yes, of course. I knew it would. Good catch, by the way!"

Ratmask flicked his ear. He wasn't sure he wanted to get on the topic of Ashrock. He knew how most of the Clan felt about him. "Do you think he'd try it again?" He found himself asked. Ratmask glanced at Spiderfang. "Do you think he would go after Cloudscar or do something more to Cedarstar?"
Houndthroat suddenly frowned when he read her actions. "Wait a second, you weren't sure it would work, were you?"

"...No. I do not." Spiderfang admitted after a moment of thought. "I think he's come to realize that Cedarstar is capable of the rank. Now it's a matter of coming to accept that." She shook her head once. "He's been working hard, I will give him credit there. But I can't tell if he's doing it for the clan, or moreso for himself. Either way, if he wanted to invade in on their ranks, he would have done it again already." She mused.
Lilypaw flinched for a moment, before her face curled with indignation. She huffed out. "Well, I- you, I mean, yes, I'm sure it would work! Why else would I do it?" She turned her head pointedly, hiding her embarrassment with a false sense of superiority.

Ratmask flicked his ear and hummed in light agreement. "He's not the smartest cat in the woods either, so he probably couldn't come up with another strategy to take their ranks even if he wanted too."
Houndthroat rolled his eyes and started burying the lizard. This must have been one her clever Ratmask tricks she thought up on a whim. "Well, do you think it could work again? There might be more prey closer to the twoleggedplace border."

Cardinalblaze's eyes flickered over to Cloudflight, a twinge of longing filling him as he cast her a glance, promising that he would go over to her when he was next free. He wanted nothing more than to brush his pelt against his mate's, and hear her voice in his ears again. Cloudflight paused as Cardinalblaze’s gaze flitted to her, and gave him a nod to show she understood.

But I know you’re better than that.” She mused. “Er, yeah! It should work again. We can try it out, anywhere you want.” Lilypaw regained her composure as best as she could, shaking her pelt and growing serious once more.

Ratmask scoffed. "I would have pulled it off if I had any intention of doing that, but me becoming deputy then leader? Please. I'd rather becoming a loner."
"Uh huh." Houndthroat rolled his eyes again and started in the direction of the twoleggedplace. "Something tells me you just got lucky."

“Ah. Interesting. You’ve never had ambitions of leadership, Ratmask?” Spiderfang asked, genuinely curious of her apprentice’s words. She remembered every cat who she had been apprenticed with had been dreamy of leadership one day. To hear one that was not was always more rare.
“No way.” Lilypaw huffed. “I knew what I was doing, and you caught it because of me. You’re welcome, by the way.” She decided, padding at his side.

"Maybe once, but look at me." Ratmask gave her a hardened look. "No cat would want me as their leader. Besides, it's too much work anyway."
"I caught that lizard because I was fast enough too." Houndthroat flattened his ears. "Not because you were trampling around the undergrowth like a crazed badger."

((I'm just going to throw starters down for everyone since I don't remember where they all were.))
Stormfury glanced around the camp for Whorlpaw. With the fire, it had been a bit since their last training session, and with ShadowClan needing prey more than ever, now was a good of time as any to work on the apprentice's hunting.
Cloudscar was packing the warriors den wall with some moss he stumbled across on the last patrol he was on. It wasn't nearly as homey has it had once been, but that didn't matter. Progress was being made to restore the camp. As he worked, his mind drifted back to the recent visit from Swiftstar. He had been, and still was, shocked by his son's decision to remain in camp. He let out a soft purr despite himself. Swallowfeather was gone, and her loss rocked him to his core...but his son was here. His son was staying here. He could find some solace in knowing he was no longer alone.
Oakpaw was asleep in the apprentices den. The reddish tom was exhausted from the previous day's rebuilding.
Hollypaw stretched as stepped back into camp, moss between her teeth. She began to pad over towards the nursery. Perhaps one of the queens could do with fresh bedding.
Sandflower flicked her tail anxiously, unsure of how best to help.

Treadtail gave the other warrior a smile before settling in behind him, following him through the charred and broken territory, his eyes darting to and fro as though he expected to see a sudden flash of fire. His head still hurt from where the branch had knocked him out, leaving him unconscious all the way to fourtrees and then back. That was a good thing though... they had to cross the thunderpath to get to fourtrees and he wouldn't have been able to do that.

Whorlpaw was over by the apprentice den, trying to help her brother hold up a part of the den so he could reinforce it with brambles; however, it wasn't going well. She didn't quite have there reach to hold up the den and the brambles just kept falling on the two of them. Palepaw let out a hiss of frustration.
Cedarstar remained in his den, unable to move too much lest he disturb his burns. He tried to get some sleep, but with how much he had been laying here, sleep wouldn't come.

(Hey Fox! Did you see Jule's reply about Jaysong? We need to finish their kitting)
Frogleap calmly walked through the territory, his head held up and his tail flicking contently. He didn't say anything to Treadtail, actually wanting to see how far the tom would go on his own.

Stormfury padded over to Whorlpaw and Palepaw. "Here, let me help." He offered. The bigger tom sat back on his hind legs and pressed against the top of the den. "Go ahead and weave the brambles in now." He said once he had gotten a secure hold on the den wall.

Whorlpaw blinked in surprise at the sight of her mentor. She smiled brightly. "Thanks Stormfury!" Palepaw didn't say anything as he wove the brambles in.

The further they got into the territory the more anxious Treadtail became, his fur started to prickle and stand as his steps became slow and unsure, his eyes widening in panic as flashes of pain and large black paws crushing him flashed through his mind.

Frogleap glanced at Treadtail from time to time and his own pelt began to prickle. Silently, he cursed the tom beside him. His fear was contagious, but Frogleap stubbornly continued on.

Kestrelgaze moved from the nursery when it seemed Jaysong was in pain. He hurried for the medicine cat den go summon a medicine cat. “Hello?” He called.

Treadtail kept getting more and more nervous by the second and when that first scent of the thunderpath hit him on the breeze, he froze in place. His eyes were wide, his fur on end, and he began to shake horribly as that scent swept through his memories and turned him to stone.
