Songbreeze smiles softly looking at him as he spoke a purr moving through her letting his paw move against her belly on his own accord. She watched him with such fondness. Their kits were so loved already, she couldn’t wait to meet them and be able to pull them close. To lick there little heads and watch them grow.
Crystalpaw was about to argue when he changed the subject. She nodded her head, “Ok ok this is one my mentor taught me. It’s a rolling move,” she meowed smiling a bit. She stood away from him crouching then dashing forward in one direction before twisting and rolling the the opposite side her paw stretching out into the air to swipe at an invisible enemy before getting back up.

Cedarstar flicked his ear, a betrayal of his doubt. His clan? He was leader? StarClan, he knew it, but it sure didn't feel like it. He didn't earn this position, Northstar had just given it to him when he didn't even want it! Cedarstar tapped his tail to brush away those thoughts. He supposed he could give Ashrock one more chance for the sake of Coalpaw and the medicine cats, if anything, but he wasn't shy of considering the thought of exiling Ashrock if his brother proved untrustworthy, and he certainly would keep a close eye on his brother. "Ashrock is too stubborn to see anything." The big lug didn't even know Stonesong was in love with him--StarClan knows why. Cedarstar let out a sigh and flicked his gaze toward the camp entrance. He needed to apologize to Snowdance...

Lionscorch looked up at Songbreeze then, moving to press his muzzle to hers with a rumbling purr. "Starclan, you're amazing. You're going to be an amazing mother, I can already tell...Have you thought of any names?" He asked hopefully.
Coalpaw watched with as much focus as he could muster. She looked so controlled, like the move came second nature to her! He hoped he could do that too soon. He bounced on his paws excitedly. "That was amazing! Can you do it again?" He pleaded, paws itching to try and copy the move.

"Then I will gladly stop asking." Ashrock lashed his tail and turned his attention to the herbs. He didn't even look at Snowdance when she came into the den.
Cliffheart shot out at once, instantly catching the lizard in his jaws and killing it. "Nicely done." he purred to his mate.

Snowdance dropped the herbs before turning to Closesky, “Thank you, Closesky. I appreciate your help.” She said, dipping her head to the elder.

He needed to apologize to Snowdance... "I'll say." Cardinalblaze snorted, a hint of agreement in his voice, though a small chuckle escaped him as he looked at his former mentor. "Though, I would go as far to say that stubbornness is a trait that all of you share. You and your brother and sister. It's...hard, to give that familiar response up. We can all be so achingly stubborn sometime." He glanced at where his leader was looking before he tilted his head again. "Snowdance seemed agitated. Is everything going to be alright with her?"

Songbreeze purred and giggled happily nuzzling against him. Her muzzle against his licking his chem, “I can’t wait.... to see them....to hold them close,” she purred lovingly. Keeping close to him, “No I have thought of any...,” she whispered.
Crystalpaw looked at him smiling looking rather proud, “Sure I can,” she dashed forward and rolling swiping her paw before standing straight up once more, “See,” she stood tall. — Opalmist rolled her eyes before looking at Snowdance, “Everything ok?” She asked her mentor ignoring Ashrock now.
“We make a good team,” Owlshadow purred happily licking his cheek softly, “Nice catch,” she nodded her head.

Closesky nodded to Snowdance, his eyes darting to Ashrock within the medicine den. Ashrock didn't turn around to face his father, so Closesky didn't address. Giving the medicine cats one last nod, he departed from the den.
"She's fine." Cedarstar flicked his ear, not wanting to address what he and his siblings had in common. He stood up, having spotted Snowdance entering the medicine den with Closesky. Closesky. Great. So his father was trying to butt in and smooth things over. He had to admit, he wasn't surprise. If Closesky wasn't known for being a mentor, he'd be known for being an overactive father. Cedarstar huffed. At least that meant Closesky wasn't moping about Northstar's death anymore. He waited until the elder departed from the medicine den. "Why don't you go find Vixenpaw, Cardinalblaze?" He glanced at his former apprentice. "I need to speak with Snowdance, uh..." He flicked his ear again. "Thank you."

"Opalmist has a feeling she's not sharing." Ashrock rolled his eyes in response to Snowdance, but didn't turn his gaze away from the herbs. "But don't mind me, I'm just becoming a bloody medicine cat with each passing day!"

We'll teach them how to catch any frog on the territory." He chuckled. Coalpaw watched with bright eyes, before he worked at the ground with his paws. "Oh oh! You think I could try it? I think I got it down!" He asked, getting into a rather sloppy crouch.

He dipped his head, before turning to find his apprentice. He felt better, hoping his words could help Cedarstar in any way.

Snowdance looked over at Opalmist with worry, “We’ll talk about this feeling later, alright?” She said, before looking over at Ashrock, “As for you, I tried talking to Cedarstar, as I’m sure the whole clan heard, but he won’t listen to me. The best you can do is try and prove to him that you’ve learned you’re lesson,”

Ashrock snorted. "What lesson is that? I know how to handle these frog-brained herbs! I know how to apply them to wounds, how to deal with your snappy she-cat hide! What more is there to learn?!"

Sometime later Morningpaw finished cleaning out the nursery and headed out quietly out of camp, feeling the urge to hunt. She was sure the prey pile was full enough, but she wouldn’t risk breaking the warrior code if it wasn’t, so she made plan to bring back two or three bits before she had her fill. As she sniffed her territory out, hoping for a stray frog or even a shrew if she was lucky p, she thought of how fun her time was in the nursery and how much Russetkit changed her mind on kits in general.

Morningpaw, there you are!” Lynxdapple exclaimed, making his way after his apprentice as she padded out of camp. A slightly humored look crossed his face. “Sneaking out, eh? Don’t worry, I used to do the same thing all the time. How about I sneak out with you.” He offered.

Morningpaw was sure she had made it out undetected when a larger shape popped up before he causing her to scramble. Her ears when hot when she saw it was Lynxdapple. How did he see me he wasn’t even in the area, the apprentice wondered before regaining her posture. “I- I was just gonna go out hunting, just so you know” she explained as they padded further away from camp.

He scolded, though it was light and he did not hold any anger for her. The small warrior gave a look of interest. "I wanted to show you some hunting techniques anyway. I'm glad I didn't have to go out looking for you." He chuckled, before mewing. "Where did you want to go hunt, Morningpaw?"

Houndthroat returned from Scorchfire's border patrol.
Whorlpaw was wrestling with Palepaw, and unfortunately kept getting pinned under her brother.

What more is there to learn?!" ”Respect, Ashrock! You were to learn to respect our position in the clan.” Snowdance snapped, pushing the herbs away and padding towards her nest. She really couldn’t catch a break with these two brothers, “I don’t why I even bother anymore.” She growled as she curled up in her nest and turning her back on Opalmist and Ashrock.

Ashrock snorted, but bit back an angered reply when she turned turned her back and ignored him. Snappy she-cats, he muttered to himself, he just focused on the herbs beneath his paws, sorting in the borage that Snowdance just brought back. Oh good, they were running low on borage. Songbreeze was getting close to kitting, they'll probably need more in the next few days. Oh, StarClan make it stop! Ashrock grit his teeth, realizing what he was just thinking. He wasn't a medicine cat! He was about to get up and storm out of the den when a drifting scent caught his nose. Ashrock's ears pinned against his head. Cedarstar. His brother was just outside the medicine den. As if this day couldn't get any worse. He decided not to say anything to the medicine cats and just focused back on sorting the herbs.
Cedarstar lingered outside the medicine den, trying to stiffel down his pride enough to call to Snowdance. StarClan, she was probably furious with him and rightfully so. His pelt started to prickle. He couldn't linger too long or the Clan would begin to notice his hesitance, but Snowdance wasn't the only one in the medicine den he didn't want to see. With a deep sigh and his ears tilted back, Cedarstar slipped into the den. "Snowdance, could we talk--" He cut at the sight of his brother. Ashrock was sorting the herbs with his massive paws. A bout of fear skipped in Cedarstar's heart that his brother was damaging the tender leaves, but he caught himself at the realization that Ashrock was actually being careful. None of the leaves were being damaged. StarClan must have froze over.

Cedarstar flicked his ear in betrayal of his doubt at the tone she used, had he really made her that mad? He did his best to let his fur lay flat and dipped his head. "I wanted to apologize. I shouldn't have said those things to you earlier." Ashrock snorted at Cedarstar's words and the ShadowCLan leader grit his teeth. This was hard enough for him, he didn't need his brother's scoffs. Why did he not think of requesting to speak with Snowdance privately until now? "You've been around this Clan longer than I have and I appreciate your advice."

Houndthroat returned from Scorchfire's border patrol. Whorlpaw was wrestling with Palepaw, and unfortunately kept getting pinned under her brother. Honeypaw watched Whorlpaw and Palepaw wrestle with eachother, a small scoff escaping him each time Whorlpaw was pinned down. Surely she had to be coming up with some tactic to get the upper paw by now. Palepaw would keep pinning her if she didn't change her tactics. He almost felt bad at the sight. Almost...he supposed he felt she at least deserved assistance, lest he have to see her mope around afterwards. He waited until Palepaw pinned her again, before he finally spoke. "I do not think I've seen an apprentice pin another one so fast and so many times before." He mewed evenly, with callous observation. Lilypaw sighed as she slipped out of the elder's den. Ticks were aggravating to pull off, and mouse bile smelled horrible. She flicked her gaze towards the camp entrance, where Scorchfire's patrol was returning. She lifted a brow at the sight of Houndthroat. Was he in a better mood today?

Snowdance listened to Cedarstar before nodding, “Thank you, Cedarstar. I appreciate that.” She said, looking over at Ashrock when he scoffed, “Why don’t you go get some fresh air, Ashrock. I’m sure you don’t want to be in here right now.” She added.

Palepaw looked up at Honeypaw when he came padding up. He shrugged. "That's because Whorlpaw's working on how to get out of them."
Whorlpaw nodded up to the older apprentice, a smile on her face even though her brother had her pinned. "Yup! Stormfury told me about a trick they use in WindClan, I was trying to see if I could copy it."
Houndthroat shook out his pelt, pausing when Scorchfire and the other members of the patrol went off to fresh kill pile without him, they were too engrossed in their conversation to realize he stopped. Houndthroat flicked his ear, his tail tip twitching. He didn't need their company, he told himself. Bitterly looking away, Houndthroat moved to a spot by the camp wall were he could clean his paws alone.

"Oh, you have no idea." Ashrock rolled his eyes, once again being ordered around by a medicine cat. He got up to leave the den, shoving passed Cedarstar as he did with teeth bared. Cedarstar held his ground and growled after his brother.
When Ashrock left the den, Cedarstar lashed his tail. "I don't know how you do it with him." He looked back at Snowdance. His statement sparking the realization that maybe Ashrock was the reason that Snowdance had become so snappy.
