This honestly comes out of no where. I don't know why they didn't just make Stormtail her mate. It would make more sense. Yeah, I know they confirmed in the past that they were never mates, but they go back on stuff all the time.

I personally don't mind. I'm glad Runningwind got to father kits, even if they didn't live very long. Stormtail would've made more sense, but I just can't see him as the father for some reason. Patchpelt might've made sense too since he and Dappletail already seemed to be on friendly terms anyway, but giving him another mate might've been too much.
As for the age thing, I just don't care for it.

I don't know if I'm reading too much into this or whatever, but I don't think Runningwind should have been made a father. Although I think it's cool just in general, I can't help but feel like this contradicts what Bluestar said about how some cats shouldn't have apprentices. Why is this ok to go back and give him kits, if he wasn't fit for mentoring?
I dunno. I feel like they shouldn't have done that. I liked that he was single and doing his own thing.
