and well
basically I kinda started to cry and have a panic attack in the middle of a class we were both in (didn't get in trouble for it, my teacher is very nice) and of course he noticed. But he didn't bring it up until I did via text message. He recognized that I was, as he thought, "stressed" and clearly at that point talking wasn't the best thing for me (he's too good for me honestly why do I think I have a chance oh wait I don't). What he thought was stress was actually a trigger (do not text people when you're triggered, at least for me it's a bad idea). Anyway. We agreed that I would talk about it in person the next day. And I did. We were in a photography class, and both him and I were going on a walk around school to take photos. So I asked if I could come with him (this is brave for me). We walked around and talked a little, and once we were both taking photos and being generally relaxed (except I wasn't because we were basically alone in a room and agh) he brought it up. Very matter-of-factly, he didn't make it a big deal. He just was looking at the settings on the camera he was using and casually asked me what happened the other day. I told him that it was a lot of things, but mostly deperession. I tried to explain that I had a panic attack and what it did to me. "You panicked, then?"
...I guess so? It's a little different, but that works to sum it up.
He just nodded as I was explaining, and he was understanding. I appreciate the fact that he didn't approach it like it was some scary thing he didn't want to bring up in case he offended me. He kept it pretty relaxed, whether intentionally or not, and I felt more comfortable that way. Afterwards, we just continued to walk and take photos. It was nice.
So I think it went well.
