Junichi watched Nobunaga begin to speak. His fur fluffed up and he hissed angrily as Nobunaga circled his leader. He didn't understand what was happening or why, but he knew this was bad. "You won't take us alive!" he hissed, despite his fear.

The tom swept them an unsure glance, but then relaxed slightly. "If you are who you say you are I suppose I can let you see Lord Masamune," he began. "But, you must remain here and I will make sure that he will be well-protected, so don't try anything," he warned.
The samurai then padded over to a she-cat and whispered in her ear. The another samurai looked up at Hikari and Takeshi and nodded. "Go tell our lord," she whispered. The tom nodded and headed swiftly to Lord Masamune's temple. The she-cat headed over to them, her pace brisk and urgent. "Hello," she greeted, bright green eyes full of warmth. "Welcome to our home. Sorry about Daiki, he is a bit, aggressive," she meowed apologetically, rolling her eyes slightly. "It's just that lately we've been extra careful about who we let into camp, security is of utmost importance these days." The she-cat gave a small smile before speaking again, "Oh, how rude of me! I didn't introduce myself yet. I am Akemi, Chief samurai." The bright red she-cat's fur ruffled a bit as a breeze went past. "Anyways, Daiki is telling Lord Masamune of your presence now, I'm sure he'll be down as soon as he's able."
(I don't know if I'm allowed to RP him coming down so I'll leave that to you LOL)

Keiko could only watch as the Demon King circled around her beloved leader. Still frozen in shock, she barely registered that he was talking, though her sharp green eyes did catch that Tarou had run off. She watched Lady Akiko take a few steps back, and, curse her stubborn loyalty, blurted out the most threatening thing she could think of.
"You smell terrible!" Maybe it wasn't the best thing to say, but her stupid brain couldn't think of anything useful. She flattened her ears. "I ... I mean, who do you think you are, stinking up our clan?! You can't just barge in here like that!" She winced, noticing that she did, in fact, sound like an idiot. The words seemed better in her head. Keiko stepped in next to her clan leader, barely registering that her pink paws were shaking and her pale fur was fluffed up."You have no right to take our clan!"
She forced her paws to stop shaking, trying to look more menacing, but she knew she was probably failing.

( Stormheart ;; Sure. XD I'm so sorry about the wait. Here's Tsuki!
) "Pleasure to meet you, Akemi-san." Takeshi escorted Hikari into the clearing, large ears swiveling in caution. The shart scent of the pines mixed in with their sweet flowery scents; everything about this seemed alien to him. He'd never actually been in Date Clan territory before. The slight...excitement he felt at this curiosity relaxed his tensed muscles a bit. What surprised him most was the gigantic rock sitting not too far away in the back of the camp. It looked like it had a 'staircase' - if one could call it that - with an opening at the top. A very intricate carving was etched into the stone - two sparrows surrounded by bamboo leaves. So the other Clan cats don't have..."temple-dens" like us? I can't imagine so, as those are really hard to come by.
It took a while, but finally two tomcats emerged from the opening and stepped down into the clearing. The one with the eyepatch - the shorter Siamese - was Masamune, of course. And the tall brown tabby was his ever-so-loyal retainer, Kojūrō. The young Date leader seemed to glare at the two with his blue eye, but maybe he was just tired. He titled his head to the side, raising an eyebrow at them. "You'd better have a good excuse for waking me up this early," Masamune grumbled.
Takeshi immediately bowed as low as he possibly could; he could feel the grass blades tickling his nose. Masamune was an post-adolescent cat, but Takeshi knew that even someone like him could become cold and merciless. Proper respect was key. "Greetings, Lord Masamune, Lord Kojūrō. I am Takeshi, and this is Hikari; we are of SakuraClan. We... have urgent news to discuss with you."
Masamune yawned, perhaps a bit rudely. "What is it?"Looking up, he swallowed dryly, not wanting to put all of the work on Hikari. They already had enough trouble at the entrance. Takeshi stood up straight, his gaze drifting to both toms as he spoke. "Well. This morning on the day of the sakura matsuri, the Oda Clan suddenly invaded us. For some reason they're...not attacking. Yet. But we don't know if they will or not. So, what I request of you is a backup party, in case something does happen."
Masamune narrowed his eyes, almost suspiciously. He then turned to whisper to Kojūrō. Takeshi squeezed the soil underpaw with tension. Please don't get the wrong idea... The last thing we need is for him to say no.
But the two turned to them again; this time, Kojūrō spoke. "Do you know if the Clan is outnumbered?" he asked.
Takeshi held in a sigh, wondering why a question like that needed to be asked. They were running out of time! Well, no, but maybe the Oda has a few more extra cats that we don't.

As various cats spat out insults and challenges to Nobunaga, the tom simply let out a huff of what seemed to be laughter. "Your taunts amuse me so." The tuxedo paced in front of the gathered group, bobbed tail swishing. "Do you wish to judge my motives before you've heard the whole story?"
Akiko took in a sharp breath. "I don't wish to, you brute." She held out her tail, a signal for her cats to stand down.
Ignoring her, Nobunaga continued in his dramatic tone. "I have an ambition. To unite this forest under one rule. Not for the sake of wickedness or evil. But for peace. These provinces have been fighting for years just for control over land. But, if unified as one state, we can all come to a peaceful consensus."
Akiko twitched an ear in annoyance. This again? This was the same nonsense that Ieyasu was spewing out at the Gathering!
"I shall make a compromise with you. We will take half of your land, camp and borders included, and include this as part of our territory. It's quite simple. Half of your prey, half of your herbs, and half of your land. That... or we'll have to obliterate you all. And, surprisingly, I don't quite want to refer to brute force..." Here, he lifted up a white paw and peered at his black claws. "...Because you cannot work for me if you're dead, yes?"
"So. Your answer to me...?"
Akiko gritted her teeth together. When was the last time she'd shown emotion like this? That was when... When...
Shutting her eyes, she was bombarded with yowls from her cats: "My lady, don't give in!" "You can't take us! We'll never follow you!" "Lady Akiko, tear him apart!"
She knew better than to give in. But if she resisted, she'd die. Possibly nine times over. She couldn't risk a battle occurring, with Lord Nobunaga Oda, of all cats. Her cats were precious to her, like kittens to their mother. Better to do something than nothing. So, she did something.
"I accept."
Gasps of shock and worry rippled through the gathered individuals, and they crowded about her.
"My lady, no! Do you realize what you've just did?!"
"You can't! He'll kill us all!"
As the cats ganged up on her, Akiko whipped around and hissed at them, frustration flaring in her eyes.
"Silence! All of you! I have accepted Lord Nobunaga's offer, and that is that. We shall over him half of our land, prey, and resources every other day." Raising her head, she glared daggers at Nobunaga before turning back to her temple.
The tuxedo bobtail smirked. "Hmph. You have earned my praise." Turning away with a chilling laugh, Nobunaga guided his cats away, out of the camp, and up to Ankoku Temple, where his cats could get a good view of the camp below.
Lady Akiko was bombared by stares of shock and distress as she walked away. "I know you are all shocked," she meowed, voice hoarse and cold. "I am too... But worry not; I know what I'm doing. Back to your dens, now. We will discuss this together later."
Yes, Akiko knew what she was doing, indeed. She accepted his preposterous request for a reason, already forming a plan in her brain. At the last moment, she would rebel against Nobunaga and 'betray' him. Overpower his cats and regain her rightful kingdom once and for all.
She was not going to let her nightmares control her like a puppet.

Junichi had braced himself for a fight. But then...Lady Akiko gave in?! His fur flattened as shock came over him. What does this mean? What has she done? What will happen now? Questions filled his mind, however he said nothing about the decision. He lowered his head in despair. Dark times lay ahead for certain. It seemed as if the daimyo had given up on them all. No. I must have faith in Lady Akiko. He could just barely hear her next order. He slowly rose to his paws and padded back to the samurai den. Curled up in bedding, he doubted he could go back to sleep after what had just happened. Instead he lied awake, listening for the sounds of his fellow samurai.

Keiko was stunned. She had stood face to face with the Demon King and then her leader had given in? Lady Akiko must have had a plan. She saw all of the other clan cats gang up on their leader, obviously not seeing she must have had a plan. She's Lady Akiko! Why would she not? But her clan mates didn't think the same. Keiko kept her distance from the leader, knowing she would not want to be on the wrong side of her today, as she often was with most cats.
Good thing, just this once, I'm able to keep my jaws shut. She thought, sitting down and curling her fluffy tail around herself. She watched Lord Nobunaga Oda lead his cats away, up to a temple where she knew he would be watching them all. Her paws itched to follow, and she subconsciously took a step in that direction before she noticed what she was doing. She knew nobody would approve. They never did.
Instead, Keiko padded over to the minarai's den, looking around for her sensai, Naoko, among the crowd, before heading into the dark den. She curled up in her nest, tucking her paws underneath herself. She knew she wouldn't be able to sleep, not after what had just happened. She tried anyway, closing her bright green eyes and trying to calm her thoughts. It didn't work. It never did. She wished now more than ever to be out training, but knew her sensai would be in his den as well. The rest of the clan, too, all trying to sleep like she was. She wished that her idiotic words had swayed the Demon King from taking over the clan, but who would listen to the words of a minarai?
Sighing, Keiko pulled herself out of her nest and sat outside the den, trying to think of all the reasons Lady Akiko could possibly have sided with the Demon King. She was too tired and didn't know what she was saying? She wants to get on his good side before we attack him? She's secretly evil? NO. Anything but that. Keiko shivered. It was only early morning, but already she wished this day would be over.

(She looks amazing Moon! Thanks so much! ) Hikari began to speak. "Their numbers are slightly more than our own, but I am sure you are well aware what Lord Nobungaga is capable of, and I believe he left reinforcements at his camp. All the Clans are in danger sir, and once Lord Nobunaga takes over SakuraClan, he'll try to seize your territory. If we join together now we can stop him from doing this. Please help SakuraClan, and help your own Clan." Tsuki widened her eyes in surprise. Why would Lady Akiko just give in without a fight? She must of formulated a plan, and Tsuki needed to know what it was. The silver-blue furred Molly made her way over to the Daimyo. "My lady, may I speak to you in private?" She inquired, keeping her voice low as she didn't want to attract unwanted attention. She flicked her tail in unease.

Akiko turned around to face her general. Her motions were delayed, maybe a bit sluggish, though, and she hated how exhausted she looked. But nonetheless, she turned back to face Tsuki. "You may," came her languid reply. "Come with me." She sauntered towards her temple, beckoning Tsuki with her tapering tail.
Kojūrō tilted his head, nodding in agreement. "That is certain," he meowed. "We can't let this get out of hand. It seems there is an urgent matter upon our paws..." He turned to Masamune. "Masamune-sama. Your word?"
Instead of relying calmly, Masamune's voice rose to an irritated yowl. "The Oda are at it again? Won't those imbeciles ever stop?!"
The Siamese let out a long, exasperated sigh, then turned to the two of felines before him. His eyes flashed blue fire. "Fine. I'm going to send out a backup patrol with some of my cats to aid you, just in case." He squinted at them as he turned away. "But don't take it lightly. I'm only helping because I hate those Oda idiots."

Tsuki followed her daimyo, casting an angry glance at the Oda cats. The she-cat went inside the temple, sitting down deeper within. As the commander waited for Lady Akiko to close the sliding doors, she looked around the room, studying the patterns and statuettes within the magnificent space.
Hikari bowed. "Thank you Kojūrō-sama," she replied. "Your aid is most valuable to us."

Akiko stepped inside the eerie stillness of her little decorated abode releasing some of the tension in her muscles. Shutting the shōji doors completely, she lay right in front of Tsuki, not having the energy to sit up. "...What is your query?" She asked the silver female.
Kojūrō nodded and gave Hikari a smile. "No need, Hikari-san. It is our job to protect our allies, after all." He turned to the silver Oriental. "Lord Takeshi, make sure you take care of Lady Akiko. She'd blessed to have one like you by her side."
Takeshi licked his chest in slight embarrassment. Inwardly, he preferred to be called 'lord', him being the head tactician and all, and that title could be used for high-ranks such as himself. But hearing it in person flustered him a little. Not mention, the compliment about his daimyo. "Oh. O-Of course... Thank you both for your kindness."
Masamune's ear tips grew warm, and he averted his eye. "Eh. It's nothing." Giving them a wave of dismissal, a slight smirk passed on the Siamese's lips. "If those imbeciles give you any trouble, just say the word and we'll show them what for. Akemi can see you two out."
"Yes." Takeshi bowed once more, standing up straight. "Well, we'd better go. Thank you so much. Let us take our leave, then." With one last look to the lord and his tactician, Takeshi tapped Hikari's shoulder with his long tail as he turned back to the sheltered entrance.

Tsuki began to speak, voice clear, but lowered slightly. "My lady, I hope I do not overstep my boundaries by saying this, but why did you give in so easily? I expect you have a plan, as I know you would never just give in like that otherwise." The female paused for a moment before continuing, "What is said plan? I'd like to be informed of it so I can help carry it out."
Harkari meowed goodbye to both of the lords before making her way back to the entrance with Takeshi. "Goodbye!" Akemi called out, leading them out of camp. "I hope to see you again soon! It was nice to meet the both of you. I wish you luck Hakari-san and Lord Takeshi. Stay safe, and may to gods watch over you in these troubled times."

Akiko stared at Tsuki. "You are surprised, I can tell..." She looked down at her paws, her eyes unfocused and staring at nothing. "The reason I gave in so quickly...was to lend Lord Nobunaga a false sense of security," she mumbled. "His power is not to be taken lightly. Nobunaga is powerful enough to make even the strongest of leaders bow to him. No one can escape from him without a fight, and we cannot afford to battle right now. We will have to rebel against him at some point; not too early, but not too late. I prefer not to call it a...'betrayal', but I suppose that is what it is."
She looked away, almost looking a little pained. "I am aware that...that my mental health is in danger... Even more so with our enemy right next to us. But worry not. I'll make sure we are all safe until then." "Goodbye."
Takeshi trotted a few steps ahead of Hikari, a bit apprehensively. "Well, that didn't take long... I guess we have to send a messenger to warn them, which is problematic. But at least we have backup, I suppose... Let's get back to camp, Hikari-san, before something else happens."

"Kei-chan!" Emiko, who was as shocked as her sister, went back to her den and lay beside Keiko and her twin sister, Emiko. "What... What's going on?" She meowed, her voice a high-pitched meow of fear. "Why are these scary cats in our camp?"
Haruna sighed. "She doesn't know, Emiko," she replied. She was annoyed from being woken up so early, but it was clear that she was frightened as well. "But I'll admit... I'm scared of them."
"Lady Akiko agreed to help them... What if she's on their side? What if she's really evil?!"
"She's not evil, stupid! Lady Akiko isn't 'helping' them. She hates them, right? Maybe she's trying to trick them..." She turned to Keiko, her dark blue eyes serious. "Keiko, what do you think?"FåwnFrøst "I can't believe this," Arata grumbled, pacing about the samurai den. "I just cannot believe this. This is all happening so quickly. Too quickly. First Lord Kotarou died, then Saburo is killed, and now our enemy is trampling all over our land like they own it. We haven't done anything to the gods, yet they reward us with this?"Daisuke lay his chin on his paws. "Oi... Calm down," he mumbled. "And please don't bring up Lord Kotarou's death like that. I have no idea what the heck is going on, either. But right now, I'm seriously fighting the urge to walk up there and fight them. They're the ones who caused all this trouble."

Junichi's ears pricked at mention of his name, and he raised his head. "I don't understand either, but there's no way Lady Akiko could betray us. She must be thinking of something." Tsuki nodded. "I see, he won't see what's coming. When the time comes, we'll strike him hard and quickly. I have already sent Hikari to get help, and Takeshi chose to go with her to make sure she stays out of trouble. I hope they return soon with good news..." The commander trailed off, "I am truly sorry about your husband's death. I only wish I could avenge his death for him and for you, but I know he is very powerful. However, I believe we should give it out all and strike him down for good. That way, he will be a threat no more."
Hikari nodded. "Yes Takeshi, my Lord. We should hurry, our Clan needs us." The samurai sped up her pace and briskly trotted toward camp entrance. "Wait," she said. "Will the Oda ask where we've been? Perhaps we should rid ourselves of the Date Clan' s scent just in case."

Akiko narrrowed her eyes, looking like the tatami matting was the most interesting thing that graced her vision. "Correct," she remarked. "They surprise us, we surprise them back. Hm..." She placed a paw chin, ears flattening. "But...I think... I think we should keep this to ourselves. I trust all of my cats immensely, but there is no guarantee that they will stay silent about it."
At the mention of Takeshi and Hikari, she perked up as if snapped out of her thoughts. "To get help...?" She echoed. "Oh. You must mean from our allies, the...Date Clan. Well, I'm sure they'll be alright."
Her shoulders slumped, suddenly. A sharp pain stuck her in the head, and she shut her eyes against the ache. "Ugh... My head is acting up again..." Maybe she was getting stressed again? Was it the anxiety? She didn't know, but the only thing she knew was to sleep it away. The Oriental nodded in agreement. "You are right; we can't have them suspecting anything. Let us head back to the stream." Stepping lightly on the spiny needles of pine, Takeshi traced his steps back down to the small stream the Hikari washed off in. Crouching in the cool water, he let the liquid flow into and over his fur, feeling himself relax a bit at the calming feeling.Stormheart Daisuke nodded. "I belive so too. Akiko's not the type to just give in like that. She must have a plan or something. Wonder what it is?"

"Not to be rude, of course. But do I feel a bit sorry for her. Her thoughts are probably as dark as they come. Maybe...darker."
"I guess. Some things are better left unsaid." He turned to Junichi. "Anyways, I am hoping we'll be able to chase the Oda cats out of here soon. I can only imagine the effects this will have, to rivals living side by side..."✽Boop✽

Tsuki nodded. "As you wish my lady, I will keep this to myself." Seeing her Daimyo in pain, the commander raced over to her side. "Are you alright Lady Akiko?" She asked worriedly.
Hikari went through the stream and relaxed her tense muscles as the cool water washed away any trace left of the Date Clan' s pine tree scent. The female got out and shook her fur, ridding herself of most of the water that had been in her fur. The she-cat then caught a fish in her jaws and killed it. "So we can say we were hunting," Hikari explained, catching another, then another. "This should do it."

The daimyo sighed, maybe a bit sadly. She hated having her cats worry about her. "Oh, no..." she rasped, sounding as tired as a cat who hadn't slept in a month.
"No, dearest. I'm alright. Just a headache... It'll pass if I go back to sleep. Or, at least try to." Truly, though, she was exhausted - physically and emotionally - but she tried her hardest not to let it show.
Her eyes gave it away, though; they were void of color, unfocused, and far from just "tired". The slightest of smiles made its way to Takeshi's maw. "You're clever." Inching his nose towards the runnifng water, he dipped his muzzle into the stream and latched his fangs into the gills of a calico-patterned koi. It flailed around in his jaws a bit, but soon it's bloody gills ceased working and it fell limp.
Not able to speak much with the beautiful creature in his mouth, Takeshi jerked his head to the side, a signal that meant: 'let's keep going'. A torii gate stood tall far, far away, so he assumed they were nearly home. Stormheart

[ Izumi | Healer's Lair | Tags - - Tarou]
Solace inundated the molly’s profundity at the glimpse of a smudged sepia coat, which ergo drove out the antecedent misgivings of Tarou’s whereabouts. The tyro’s physique careered over to her contemporaneous orientation; it didn’t halt until ultimately finding its target - her. The daunted neophyte then proceeded into burying his quavering head against her chest, something that had her sense the bona fide dread the piteous thing was perceiving.
Espying the aforementioned anomalous sentiment - trepidation - from the quintessentially Pollyannaish gibe, a maternal whim commenced stirring in the fathomless crevasse which was her recondite encephalon. Notwithstanding of this peculiar verity, the feminine daintily coiled her plumed caudal about the quivering probationer, perusing the odious militia with a vaguely minatory glare.
Yet, it was then SakuraClan’s premier announced a somewhat repugnant communiqué.
Though, at first, there came an onslaught of astonishment - made worse by the susurrus apropos the hoi polloi of grimalkins deeming the deed rash - the physician could make sense of it. They couldn’t conquer a battalion such the size of the one brought to their camp - well, not in one piece, anyways - let alone scare them off entirely. Of course they’d be infuriated enough to regress with doubled the numbers!
No, albeit detesting the concept of keeping these brutes, the erudite healer could see into Akiko’s sagacity.
(I'm just picturing Izumi giving the army this subtly deadly glare for having scared Tarou lol)

{ Sorry it took me so long to reply, but school gets in the way sometimes... }
Keiko's ears flicked back, listening to the other minarai talking with one another. She was surprised when they asked her a question.
"Hmm?" She said, turning to the two cats. "Oh." She thought for a moment. "Well, I don't think Lady Akiko is evil, if that's what you mean. I think she's trying to get on his good side. You know, before she kills him and all. I might do the same, if I ever thought before I acted. Which I don't. You wouldn't want anyone to suspect you're going to kill them, do you?" She paused, flicking her fluffy tail over the ground, before looking up at the other minarai with laughter in her eyes.
"I mean, he didn't even back down in fear when I insulted him!" Keiko stood, posing dramatically. "All those petty evil villains should cower in fear at my words! I expected him to go running for the hills! But that was a terrible insult, on my part. And here we are." She sighed, her joking nature gone. "And now I don't know what to do. I just wish we could help. Go after him or something."
She sat down again, shaking her head. I should have gone after him earlier, she thought, when I had the chance. Maybe I could have stopped him.

( ᔕɿɱƿՆעᗰעς੮ע ;; Aww, how sweet. I can see her trying to protect him. <3 )Tarou's quivering was now ceased from the almost maternal comfort of his pedagouge, but he didn't look away until he was sure the army was out of sight. Turning his head about, he felt a chill run down his spine as he spotted them high up on the same hill that housed Ankoku Temple. So they weren't leaving? Oh, well. The striped male looked up at his sensei, a purr rising in his throat. Relief and gratitude swam free in his quasi-teary oculi. Really... he'd never seen the Oda cats up close before. They were so powerful, terrifying even. But what he was most perplexed about was Akiko's hasty acceptance to their leader's...persuasion. Maybe she did so to save her cats from being defeated so early on? Or maybe she had some other plan? Whatever it was, Tarou knew she had good intentions. Speaking of...Tsuki had walked up to them. She was emerging out of Akiko's den, which concerned Tarou slightly. "Tsuki-dono...?" He mewed, voice sounding more like a squeak. He didn't want to speak for his teacher, as Tsuki had called for Izumi, specifically.
Takeshi managed a muffled: "My pleasure." A tiny chuckle - of all things! - escaped his maw. He hadn't given a compliment in forever, but it was a good feeling. At her question, he nodded. "Mhm." Even for two fish; they were delicacies, a perfered meal among the cats.
He breathed a sigh of relief; it was getting lighter out, they were home, and most importantly, the Clan seemed safe. Although the bitter taste of fear hung in the air. He noticed the Oda cats crowed up on Ankoku Temple's hill, and his fur pricked as he stepped into the grassy valley.

Haruna nodded vigorously "You make some really good points," she commented. "Lady Akiko is really clever. To toss in my two cents... I think she's trying to bargain with them. Like you said, Keiko, get on his good side and then turn the tables on him. For lack of a better phrase."
Emiko perked up. "Ohh! That is smart!"
"I think so," she replied. "But we'll see." She frowned. "Y'know, I wanted to try and step up to him... Lord 'Nobu-whatever-his-name-is'. But he... He's gotta sort of scariness about him. Maybe we can't chase him off yet. She turned back to Keiko, amusement lighting her face. "Even I would be too chicken to do that. Keiko's got guts, and she's younger than both of us!"
"I think so! That was brave."FåwnFrøst ;; ( It's all good! )

Tsuki gave a small, weary small. "Hello Tarou-kun," she greeted. "I came to ask a favor of you." The commander turned to make sure no one but the healers could hear. "Lady Akiko is not well," she said worriedly, voice lowered. "I fear for her health, both physically and mentally. Would you go check on Her for me and not say anything? I find Lady Akiko as a fully capable Daimyo, but her health is my number one concern."

Hikari have a small smile. "We'd better tell Tsuki and Lady Akiko of our successful hunt," she spoke aloud, winking for a brief moment at Takeshi. The she-cat started up to her daimyo's temple, koi fish in her jaws.

"You're right." Junichi said to Daisuke. "I'm sure some scuffles will break out between us and them." He fell silent, staring at the floor. He knew this wasn't going to be quietly accepted. He was bound to get into a fight soon.
(Sorry this response is short, personal stuff going on)
