Applefern 8/10 Cute name. I can see it working for a ginger or golden tabby cat with distinctively bold stripes. (traditional style)Rosedusk 7/10 A pretty name for a calm ginger cat. (traditional style)Dawnfox 7/10 Interesting combination, but it doesn't sound bad. (lyrical style)Foxwhisker 9/10 A great name for a ginger cat with excellent hunting skills. (traditional style)Fawnspots 9/10 Nice name for a pale brown cat that is either a spotted tabby or has white markings. (traditional style)Specklebird 8/10 Cute name for speckled cat who is notably agile. (traditional style)Dappleshade 8/10 Pretty name for a dappled cat who is an excellent hunter. (traditional style)Morning Rain 9/10 Lovely.Misty Dawn 10/10 I absolutely love this!Silver drop of moonlit Rain. 7/10 Very pretty, but a little bulky somehow.Four scores of nine or ten gives you four kits. One score of ten puts Misty Dawn in the Hall of Fame. 1. Lilac ticked torbie she-cat with copper-colored eyes and short, sleek fur. (Name suggestions: Fleckkit, Grosbeakkit, Phoebekit) 2. Red mackerel tabby tom with hazel eyes and semi-long fur. (Name suggestions: Blazekit, Crabkit, Redkit) 3. White she-cat with one blue eye, one yellow eye, and semi-long fur. (Name suggestions: Yarrowkit, Swankit, Lightningkit) 4. Black silver shaded tom with green eyes and short, dense fur. (Name suggestions: Frostkit, Mistkit, Blizzardkit)

I haven't done these in forever let's try it gah how I've missed your name rater I don't need prizes and most of these are for lyrical Thistlegleam - brown tabby she-cat with white paws and a sunny personality. 8/10 Cute name. The suffix seems to suit her personality well. Only deducted points because I tend to associate Thistle- with gray cats, but I suppose it's possible dried thistles might appear brownish, I don't know. (Traditional style)Eaglemask - black tom with a white mask and yellow eyes. 8/10 It's a decent-sounding name, and makes sense with his markings. I did deduct a point from the prefix part because black eagles are not super-widespread, so one would expect a brown cat rather than black, unless this cat lives where there are black eagles. (Traditional style)Redthorn - dark russet she-cat with long, spiky fur and an even pricklier personality. 9/10 Nice name! Both prefix and suffix seem to suit her well. (Traditional style)Blizzardfang - silver tabby tom with amber eyes. 8/10 This is a solid name, I could easily picture it in the books. (Lyrical style)Embermist - white she-cat with orange tabby patches 9/10 I really love both Ember- and -mist, so together they make a lovely combination. (Lyrical style)Redfleck - Brown mackerel tabby tom, always nervous. 6/10 Cute, but nothing too extraordinary. Just as a side note, it strikes me as rather odd to have a brown cat with stripes with that name. (Lyrical style)Morningpool - dilute calico she-cat with yellow eyes. 7/10 This is very pretty. (Lyrical style)Aspenfall - brown torbie she-cat with white speckled paws. Always wanting to help out. 9/10 I love the sound of basically anything with trees and -fall! Also I really like Aspen- for some reason, always have. (Lyrical style)Oakflame - grey tom with very faint tabby markings. 7/10 It's a cool name, but feels a little choppy to say. (Lyrical style)Since you said most are lyrical, I just scored a few as traditional where there was enough information to do so.

Oakstorm (Large, long-furred brown tabby tom with bright green eyes and a white muzzle. His tabby markings are a slightly darker and richer brown, almost black. A prankster with a big heart)
Wildsky (A bright orange she-cat with bright sky-blue eyes and white paws and tail-tip, Very outgoing and curious)
Cloverstream (A light grey she-cat with darker grey on her back and the top of her head, and legs. The darker areas have even darker grey tabby stripes on them. She has a white tail-tip and muzzle and pale green eyes. Shy and introverted)
Quietsmoke (A dark smokey gray short-furred she-cat with soft spots of lighter colors, making her pelt really look like smoke. She has dark green eyes. Opposite of Quiet. Harsh and grumpy)

Oakstorm (Large, long-furred brown tabby tom with bright green eyes and a white muzzle. His tabby markings are a slightly darker and richer brown, almost black. A prankster with a big heart) 6/10 Nice traditional-sounding name. The prefix suits his coloring. However, I tend to imagine -storm as being for unpredictable, passionate cats.Wildsky (A bright orange she-cat with bright sky-blue eyes and white paws and tail-tip, Very outgoing and curious) 5 /10 It's a pretty name. I don't really see a reason for Wild- as a prefix. I can imagine that -sky is derived from her eye color, but personally I feel that there are more important things to have a suffix for, such as skills or personality.Cloverstream (A light grey she-cat with darker grey on her back and the top of her head, and legs. The darker areas have even darker grey tabby stripes on them. She has a white tail-tip and muzzle and pale green eyes. Shy and introverted) 4/10 Lovely traditional feel with this name. I usually see Clover- as working better with white or maybe pale golden cats. You haven't mentioned skills, so I can't judge whether she the swimming skills suited to -stream.Quietsmoke (A dark smokey gray short-furred she-cat with soft spots of lighter colors, making her pelt really look like smoke. She has dark green eyes. Opposite of Quiet. Harsh and grumpy) 4/10 Kind of an awkward name to say. Quiet- describes nothing about her, and although -smoke does fit her appearance, it really would work better as a prefix.

• Coppertail - long-furred chocolate tom with darker paws/tail tip and yellow eyes. Copper- is kind of an iffy prefix with this coloring. I know chocolate cats can look a little reddish, but usually they're quite dark brown, in my experience. The suffix works for an agile cat. (Traditional score: 7/10) I do really like how it sounds, as it's got a nice traditional feeling. (Lyrical score: 9/10) Total: 16/20• Nightmask - ticked black tabby tom As long as he isn't very rufoused, like an Abyssinian, and the ticking is heavy enough to make him mostly appear black, the prefix could work. Ticked tabbies to me don't really look like they have masks, either. (T-score: 5/10) The name on its own does sound cool. (L-score: 7/10) Total: 12/20• Stormpike - brindled tortoiseshell tom with yellow eyes I tend to see Storm- as being for a predominantly gray cat. Not sure what -pike would mean as a suffix, maybe something to do with swimming and fighting. (T-score: 4/10) I do rather like the sound of the name, very short and simple. (L-score 8/10) Total: 12/20• Ravenbeak - brindled bicolour she-cat with semi-long fur and amber eyes. Not sure what color this cat actually is. I assume by "bicolour" that there's white involved, but I can't tell what other color(s) is/are present. Also not sure what -beak would represent in a cat world. (T-score: 3/10) It sounds nice, though, as the prefix and suffix fit smoothly together. (L-score: 8/10) Total: 11/20• Sableheart - classic Bengal tabby she-cat I'm assuming she's a normal black-based Bengal. I would think of Sable- as being for a predominantly dark brown or black cat, but she might get away with it if her stripes are especially thick. The suffix works if she's known for her absolute devotion to her moral code. (T-score: 7/10) This is another lovely traditional-sounding name. (L-score: 9/10) Total: 16/20• Nightsky - back Smoke tom with amber eyes. Short fur. The prefix is a good fit. Suffix is something I might associate with a cat who is known for superb high-jumping skills. (T-score: 8/10) It sounds pleasant, when said out loud. (L-score: 8/10) Total: 16/20• Halfmask - chimera tortoiseshell she-cat with minimal white spotting. One blue eye one amber eye. This type of correlating name for coloring isn't my favorite, but I can see how it does fit her. (T-score: 8/10) As name alone, it sounds okay. (L-score: 7/10) Total: 15/20• Pikefin - brown mackerel tabby with green eyes Prefix is a good match for the coloring. I would imagine this cat is a strong swimmer based on the suffix. (T-score: 8/10) Nice simple name, and the two words sound good together. (L-score: 8/10) Total: 16/20• Ridgefrost - dilute calico she-cat with deep blue eyes and long fur. Ridge- doesn't seem to represent anything about her appearance. With -frost, I typically expect a logical, determined sort of cat. Then again, it could also refer to her white markings. (T-score: 6/10) It is a very cool name, I've always liked the sound of -frost. (L-score: 9/10) Total: 15/20Okay, I'm trying out a new rating style for names with descriptions, where you get two scores instead of one. So you are my lucky guinea pig! Probably I'll do this with the next few people who include descriptions as well, and I may tinker with it a bit. The main reason for points lost on the traditional score side was that with my naming style, I can't adequately judge suffixes without knowing a bit about skills and personality.
