i think its fine and ok on its own/if it happened in a void BUT youve also got to take into account societal pressures to look good n stuff and bullying etc and like... the reasons WHY someone might choose to get plastic surgery and whether or not it was something they genuinely wanted to do themselves (even then, would they have rly wanted to do it had it not been for some form of external pressure) and i think its really hard to separate all that. but im mostly fine w it i guess
anyway i think abt getting a minor nose job somewhat regularly. will i actually?? probably not. if it was guaranteed to look nice n natural and was offered for free??? yeah i just might (though im still too indecisive and the permanence of it... what a commitment)

I mean like. Eventually I'm going to have surgery to change the way my body looks because I'm trans and I do not like having boobs TBQH. But right now I'm not in the place to get top surgery
However plastic surgery on other parts of my body like my face I don't think I want because I like my face. Also it doesn't always turn out the best.
But I'm going to get surgery to change my body so idk if i can judge people who get surgery to change their body.

it's up to the individual person, but i personally don't agree with it. like, if someone is trying to alter a superficial disfigurement (like a deformity, scarring, etc), im cool with it. but not when someone does if just to make themselves look closer to their idealistic self

quite frankly im against excessive plastic surgery like with DDDDD size boobs and such.
but for some people, they need it. Like after a fire and getting a terrible disfiguring burn, you'd want that person to get back their face or at least part of it.

Many people who get mutiple plastic surgery have a condition called body dysmorphic syndrome which will completely ruin their face.

if it's because some needs it because of an accident/were born with something wrong/etc., I'm fine with it. buuuut I can't say I really agree with someone getting something like giant fake breasts just for looks and stuff like that. but I'm not against them doing it I guess; it's their body and they can do what they want. I just wouldn't do it myself

This is actually a hard question?
My main thing is that people gotta do what they want with their own bodies, you know? If you want to get plastic surgery, it's not like you're hurting anyone, so I'm gonna support you wholeheartedly, and I don't think anyone else has the place to step in and judge you. In general, I'm very big on the whole "your body is yours" thing; people's tattoos, hair color, clothing choices, makeup piercings, etc. are nobody else's business, and nobody has the right to comment on them like they get a say in the situation. So mostly, my reaction is just kind of, "You do you."
I do find beauty standards pretty messed up, so the fact that people find their natural appearances ugly enough to surgically change them makes me kind of sad, but it'd be hypocritical of me to get preachy about that, since I would absolutely get a face job if I could guarantee it would turn out right. Anyway, beauty standards are mostly ~society's~ fault, so I'm not gonna fault the individuals doing what they can to feel good about themselves under those conditions.

it's not something that i'd do personally, but if someone else wants that more power to them.

•♕• i feel sad abt it because its sad someone would have surgery to fit societies perception of beauty. but thats kinda hypocritical of me because iv thought about it myself. i mean people belong to themselves so if you want to get it thats fine. •♔•

society: *makes fun of someone for x features* also society: *makes fun of said someone fixing x features using plastic surgery* ??
beauty standards are dumb and you shouldn't work yourself up trying to achieve them, but if you dislike a feature you have regardless of what society says about it then there shouldn't be a reason why you shouldn't change it
personally i think it should enhance the beauty that you have, not pull it from out of nowhere.
like tbh id consider getting a minor nose job
