A few times a week there are pop up ads on my iPhone that are obviously scams. One that happened today. I've asked around and I have made a thread in the OTD asking about this. It turns out that a few other people on the forums share my problem. Including my friend, who had seven pop ups already today. This only happens on the forums, which leads me to believe that maybe it has something to do with the forums. It definitely has nothing to do with search history, because it just comes up randomly, even if I'm not touching my phone screen. Is there any way this can be fixed?

Clearing cookies should reset the types of ads you get, but it won't guarantee not getting pop-ups I use AdBlock and it works. But its against ToS & some people are against it

I've not had this issue before but today my forum (Not WCRPF, but also hosted by ProBoards) kept redirecting me to clearly malicious websites every single time I clicked to reply. It's the first time that's happened to me in nearly three years of using ProBoards. Like Venxis said, report the ads. I also ran a virus check on my laptop, just in case but thankfully it was unharmed.

I've only had this incident once on my phone and never on my laptop. I turn off Adblock on my laptop & as for my phone, I only received the ad when I was on desktop while on my phone. I'll look for ad blockers that are free on android & app store

One time, there was an ad that led to a page filled with naked ladies on another forum. I don't know if I clicked on it by accident or it was a pop-up.

Also, it's against Proboard's policies to have an ad-blocker.
