So, I've been wanting to give a home to a hamster for a while now. It will take lots of convincing to get my parents to let me get one, but I think it's possible. I think.
But anyways, does anyone here have any of this fur babies of their own? Pictures? Tips for owning one?
And, if you don't mind me asking, how much do you spend monthly on your hamsters? How much was the cost of getting all the supplies the first time? What are your set up for the hamsters?
And don't worry everyone, I'll take good care of it. I'll get the proper supplies!

I've owned three hamsters. I would not recommend them. They're not friendly, they don't like being petted or held, and they smell terrible. Mice make much nicer pets in my opinion.

I'll look into mice, but I'm pretty sure I cant get any where I live.

I used to own a hamster, but I don't remember it very well, but I could give you a bit of advise. Make sure you don't overfeed it and make sure it gets exercise. My brother had a hamster and overfed it until it became so large it's wheel broke underneath it, and the problem got worse from there. Also, get the proper equipment and cage for it. The cage I had was too light and small for the species of hamster it was, and it was able to push the cage off the table from the inside.. So, just take care of it well and you shouldn't have a problem.
