Rec is a masterpiece. The Spanish one, not the American remake.
28 Days/Weeks Later are also great.

Martyrs was really good. However, it takes the title of the most disturbing horror movie for a reason. Don't watch it if you have a weak stomach.
I also liked Don't Breathe.

Can't believe I forgot Martyrs. But yeah, it's pretty messed up. Good tastes BC. Don't Breathe was decent. Another good recent movie is It Follows.

Creep is the only one that actually left me feeling disturbed/freaked out lately. Literally no horror movies are scary anymore.
found footage? everyone dies paranormal? someone is possessed and they play that annoying music/loud noise whenever something is gonna happen movies like saw? just different ways to hurt people and everyone dies or only one person lives

I can't recall the name at the moment, but I liked the babadook. Oh, also saw, and the purge. Those are very good.

ooo while we're at it some good horror shorts are downstairs, the whistler, and the smiling man (the one with the little girl, not the creepypasta)
