i don't mean your favorite book, necessarily but post some books that really stuck with you, in either a good or bad way
i literally just remembered a book that i read in like 4th grade that had me messed up for a few months, it was called The Last Dog on Earth i don't remember who it was by though and this book that i read rather recently called Hostage Three by Nick Lake, which is kind of similar to the Fault in Our Stars but idk it struck me as more raw and honest

i don't really remember whole books but like certain scenes from books that are just BURNED IN MY MEMORY.
there's a scene in one of those books for the series the gallagher girls. (i believe it's whatever one that she's in junior year because i think only the upper classmen get to go into the like SECRET CLASSES or something and i believe it was one of those) anyway she's late for class and running down the hall and she runs past the classroom, grabs the door frame to like stop herself, and like flings herself back towards the door to enter the class. (if i am remembering the scene correctly. i mean it's the scene but like idk the exact wording of it) also the part in the first book where she's like digging through his trash cans aha~ such a good series of books highly recommend.
a couple of scenes from the max ride books esp. when she is reciting her poem about the arctic or whatever.
idk there's more that im like "not to be shared here" but

I believe there was a book in high school I was forced to read that made me cry...I think it was called "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" or something like that. And for some reason it just stuck with me.

I've read The Last Dog on Earth, its pretty good.
For me, probably this book I read in middle school called Hate List. It's a book about a girl whose boyfriend shot up their school, and she has to deal with the aftermath. She also got shot (accidentally) in the leg so she's now handicapped, and everyone thinks she was secretly part of the plot but chickened out last minute, even though she had no idea what he was gonna do. she has to come face to face with a lot of the victims and deal with the fact that she DID, unknowingly, encourage her bf to shoot them. its pretty dark but pretty good. The shooting and events that led up to it is told through flashbacks throughout the book. i should read it again.

Some books from when I was very little that kind of has just randomly stuck with me all these years is something called the Rainbow Fish??. And another is The Missing Mitten Mystery. And then there's one about a little match girl, a book that held a lot of (maybe Christmas themed) short stories.
Then there's series like the magic treehouse, the babysitter club books, and another that I always forget what they're called. Candy apple books i think? I remember my best friend at the time introduced me to them. Another old friend showed me the babysitter club books, and we'd have reading contests.
And as I got older I fell in love with books like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Warriors and things like that, and they're my favorite, but the books from my childhood are something that seem special to me? I don't know if anything about them in particular made them stick with me, just that I look back and they just mean something, like part filled with warmth, and a tad bittersweet feeling. idk they're just childhood books, i barely even remember what they're about. i think it's more of moments and memories behind them rather than the books themselves haha
