I mean, at first the idea was really cool. Cinderheart as an apprentice acted like Cinderpelt. Leafpool kept watching signs of her acting like her former mentor and she was always flipping out, lol. But now it's possession?? Like what happened to Cinderpelt being reincarnated?? They had all of these cool ideas of Cinderheart being the reincarnation but all of that was ruined in OotS. Heck the reincarnation wasn't even needed, Vicky just wanted Cinderpelt to come back because she liked her.

It's favoritism. I love Cinderpelt, but I wish she hadn't reincarnated/possessed Cinderheart. If Cinderpelt was forced into a job she didn't like, and got reincarnated due to that, why wasn't, say, Yellowfang reincarnated? You can't use the destiny argument; by that logic, Cinderpelt was meant all along to become a medicine cat.

Cinderheart was kind of shoehorned into the story for two arcs. I think they got tired.
