How's my profile picture? I tried deliberately going for a less threatening looking one. I'll change it though if need be.

You can't control someone else's avatar. But what you can do is temporarily block their posts, so that you can't see them. It is not anything against the person themselves. You just are preventing yourself distress.

Okie
Yeah like, people can have whatever avvie they want but if it bothers you, then we can compromise to have a similar avvie that's not too horrific, and both can win.

Draco
When you type in a name to block, you have to click "Hide this member's posts" right next to the name before saving the changes.

Click the person's profile you wish to block. Click the cog wheel to the right of the page. You should see the options "Block Member or Give Member Gift". Click all three options available. Click 'Block Member.' Then, go to YOUR profile. Click 'edit profile.' Click 'Privacy'. Scroll down to your member block list. You will have the options to: * hide this member's posts * do not let this member start new conversations with me * do not let this member follow me or my activities * block notifications from this member
If you just don't want to see a scary picture, then click "hide this member's posts," and uncheck the rest. It will make it so that in order to see their posts, you will have to click the 'show post option.' Save your privacy settings, and this should work. Try it on me as an experiment. If it is done right, you shouldn't be able to see my avatar anymore without having to click the 'show post' option.
