Hello Clanmates!
Sorry I have been quiet for a while. Lots to do here, none of it particularly exciting. I am trying to find someone to replace rotten window frames in my house (which is old and fragile), my horse got kicked rather badly in the field so I have been looking after him, and I have a vacation in Pennsylvania to prepare for. Actually, the last one is very exciting!
Some of you may remember FarDrivingClan, a whole family of devoted Warriors fans who drove for miles and miles and miles to see me on every single US tour from 2007 to 2012. Luckily they are so lovely that we became very good friends, otherwise they would have been stalkers! One of the tiniest members of FarDrivingClan, Ivy, inspired the character of Ivypool. Ivy's beautiful mommy is getting married next week and I have had the great honour of being invited! I'm coming over for several days so that I can look at leaves (I am a huge fan of fall colours) and do some exploring. I love the east coast and can't wait to return, though of course it will be very different without any bookstores to visit.
Hmmmm, maybe I'll pop into one and sign some books on the shelf with my purple pen? What do you think?
I am humbled and proud to see that you are still eagerly debating Su Susann's wonderful list of Missing Kits. All ideas are welcome! Just please, please be kind. Words can be hurtful, even when they are just on a screen.
Finally, I am very sad to tell you that Tab has gone to a new home. He was the most gorgeous, soft, darling puppy I have ever seen, but he was so lively (and nibbly) that I realised I didn't have enough time to give him in between writing and looking after the horses. He is very, very happy in his new home and he doesn't miss me at all! I miss him very much, though.
Oh, I almost forgot! I have BIG NEWS coming next week. You might want to check this page next Thursday for an announcement that has been a long time coming...
