Ask me things! Alright, so it is another "trendy" thread type, but I do enjoy these trivial things.
Go ahead and ask me anything. It does not have to be about me, it could be about anything. Anything from my favorite color to the meaning of life (though that will get you an answer that is one of two things: very long and existential or very short). I would love to have some fun questions to muse on and answer whilst working on my paper for my Aesthetics course.

i was gonna ask on the group on skype but this works too
what's your method to deal with the desire to procrastinate for school? like, how do you convince yourself to buckle down and actually do homework, no matter how insufferable it is

i was gonna ask on the group on skype but this works too what's your method to deal with the desire to procrastinate for school? like, how do you convince yourself to buckle down and actually do homework, no matter how insufferable it is Considering the fact that I have been staring at my laptop screen for more than three hours and have not written a word for my paper, not even the header, I do not think that I am best at giving this advice. However, it is true that I tend to get my work done. Mostly I use myself against me, which is probably not healthy. I do procrastinate no matter what, but then I tell myself that if I do not do my work, I am going to fail. Even if it's an assignment worth 5 points. This is self-deprecating and I would not recommend it as a method at all. Another would be to realize that you will feel better when it's accomplished. Especially if it's insufferable. Because once you get it done, you have time to relieve yourself of the tedious nature of that work and you are able to do something like watch a movie you really would like to watch (like what I wanted to do tonight, but now do not get that reward as I have not finished my paper). I am the worst procrastinator there is, but the pressure makes me do it. This works for some people, it doesn't for others. I think I have explained that I wrote a 22 page paper for a class final in 4 hours the night before it was due (pulled an all-nighter) and managed to get an A on it. I also put together an entire paper and presentation for a class final the night before it was due and got more than 100% because I somehow managed to do very, very well with it. I'm a very unhealthy procrastinator and heavily dislike myself for it. But because I know that I'm capable of accomplishing assignments no matter how difficult they are (regardless of the grade I speculate receiving), I use that to my advantage and simply go for it. In the end, it's all about your own willpower and just forcing it. You cannot expect something magical to give you the motivation, sadly. I learned that the hard way. So you just have to tell yourself to buckle down, and know that in the future your education will pay off.

do you agree with food coloring? I have never really thought much about the topic before now. I believe that so long as there is no extensive harm done, there is nothing wrong with it. Some people are rather allergic to some colorings used, so that is not a good idea, however I believe that people make a bit too big of a deal about food coloring in general. Could it be detrimental to our health? Perhaps in large consumption, yes. But if one is consuming a lot of food coloring, then they are already not eating healthily to begin with. Healthier foods tend to not have any/as much coloring in them as unhealthy foods. Therefore I shall stick with the "everything in moderation" rule, and state that food coloring is alright so long as it is not consumed in large quantities. As well, I simply encourage that everyone eat healthily.

coffee or tea? do you have any hobbies? are you an "outdoorsy" person at all? It depends on my mood. I tend to drink more coffee, but I do enjoy tea. However the tea I like is expensive and therefore I am not able to have it very often. As far as hobbies go, I do have a few. Writing, reading, and dancing. I'm sure there are others that could be named, but those are the top three. I have been writing for as long as I can remember (I have short stories I wrote when I was six, even), and reading since I was about four or five, and dancing since I was four. I am now a dance teacher, actually. I like the outdoors but I am not "outdoorsy". I like to enjoy nature but I cannot manage to spend too long depending on the place. I am very averse to bugs in particular. I do like walking in parks, though. And some hiking. It just depends on where it is and for how long.
