I was just looking at the news and realizing how lucky I am to even be alive right now, and how I don't give as much thanks as I should, so I made this thread so we can all remember to be grateful.
I'm thankful for having all my basic needs met of course, but I'm also thankful for how lovely the place I get to live is. Not many people get to drive past trees coated in flowers, and tens of woodland animals every day. I'm also very, very grateful for all the people in my life, even if I only see them every once and a while, or even if they're just an employee at a store or restaurant I'm a regular at.

I am incredibly grateful for even something as simple as the chocolate chip cookie I just had. Not many people around the world can afford such a little luxury, and I am able to sit here and eat two of them and take it for granted. I am also thankful for bees, because their contribution to wildlife and fruit and plants is very necessary and we need them to live. I am rather grateful for the dance studio I teach at, because I get to do what I love for a living, as well as pass it on to younger generations so that they are able to do something they love, too. And of course I am thankful for my friends, because I would not have as many shreds of happiness in my life without them. They are very wonderful and I love them so much.

I'm grateful for my friends, online and offline. Like, even when things get rough, they're around to make me laugh and remind me that not everything is so rough after all.
And this is hardcore dumb, but honestly? I'm grateful that I have my story in my life. Like, writing grounds me, and my characters are honestly blessings to write. I feel like I've always got this one thing to pull me back to reality when I get in a bad place and remind me what I'm fighting for. Feels good, feels organic.

I don't think that's dumb at all, December. I think being grateful for your own story is wonderful. It's good to have something that makes you feel happy, especially when it is of your own creation. That's got lovely sentiment.

I'm grateful for still having my mother. I'm grateful for having this laptop and intuos draw tablet. I'm also grateful for living the life I'm living, even if there are plenty of things that bring me down.
I'm just grateful to be here tbh.

I'm grateful for my pets, my friends, and my life experience--even if it was a journey to get where I am. It added to who I am today, which is much different/better than who I used to be.
