I've said this once and I'll say it again-
A lot of teachers deserve your respect.
A majority of teachers aren't "mean" or "rude" on purpose. Do not justify your hatred for a teacher just because they were "mean" to you that one time, or maybe even multiple. Teachers are human beings, too. They have lives behind the scenes. They are not some educational robots that are there to bore you. They specifically got this job because they want to educate a newer generation, and they want to see your growth. Why in God's name would anyone let them into the job if they showed a blatant lack of respect to their own students for no reason? Why would they be allowed to teach if they didn't want to do what they were taught to?
A majority of them aren't mean for "no reason". A lot of them have a reason, they just don't want to share their personal lives with their students. Teachers have bad days, like you and me. Life is tough. Sometimes, life is so tough that it bites at your behavior and nerves, making you act irritated or angry for seemingly no reason. If a teacher is acting snappy or impatient, be mindful. They're probably having a bad day, or something stressful is currently going in their life. Teachers aren't given the amount of money they should be given. One of your very own teachers might be currently suffering from debt at this moment. Or, maybe a family member/pet is sick and/or dying. And, just maybe, they might be suffering from depression/anxiety/etc. because of life events.
So shut your mouth if you have something bad to say, darnit. A majority of teachers don't deserve your distasteful opinions of them. They have feelings. They have opinions. They have thoughts and worries. Being an adult is stressful, and a lot of you out there should already know that.
I just need to let this out. My math teacher was obviously having a rough day today and was very blatantly emotional and snappy, causing my friends and classmates to call her out as rude. I noticed her trying to hold back tears after having a short "argument" with a student who wouldn't cooperate. She wasn't okay, and people should have noticed that and let her off.
Bottom line is, it's not all about you.
You aren't the only one with problems. You aren't the only one with stress. You aren't the only one with physical, mental, financial, and so on problems.
Stop. Being. Selfish.

I can be rude and mean to people that did absolutely nothing wrong to me because I had a bad day?? Sweet!! You clearly don't seem to understand what I'm saying.
What I'm saying is that not every bloody teacher is out there to get you. They have their own personal problems.
Being emotionally abusive is different than having behavioral issues resulting from life events. What some do is unjustifiable, and there is an extent to where your actions lie.
But a majority are experiencing things that are not your business. Being rude and disrespectful to your own teacher because you think that they're "rude" or "unfair" is incredibly inappropriate. You have no right to do that. If it bothers you so much, contact higher status. If it's obvious they're doing it out of spite, use your status to your advantage.

I have never in my life been rude or disrespectful to a teacher and despise people who are. I just think this was phrased in a way where it's okay for someone to be rude to you and justify it by saying they had bad day. That's never okay.

Sometimes after a stressful class I say thanks to my teacher because I realize I'm lucky to have a class. It's nice to see their stressed faces sorta smile for a moment.

I have never in my life been rude or disrespectful to a teacher and despise people who are. I just think this was phrased in a way where it's okay for someone to be rude to you and justify it by saying they had bad day. That's never okay. I was never specifically referring to you. "You" as in the general you.
Then, how should I phrase it differently? Because I definitely don't want it to come off that way, and I understand where you're seeing it from.

so like yeah i totally agree that kids shouldn't be rude to teachers and most teachers are p chill. (tho ive had some that were so not chill and needed to chill)
but also like. they're paid to be professional at their job tbh. ive literally filled out apps that are like "if personal life gets in the way will you still be able to preform your duty at work." so like yeah they have personal problems and things aren't always peachy. but also they're at work and need to have a level of professionalism. so if they're snapping at kids because they're having a bad day then that's really not okay.

I agree to an extent.
My bad experiences with teachers has made me not take them seriously anymore, however I do see where you are coming from. If they're doing their best, they should have respect. (They also have their own problems in their personal lives.)

I agree with this post, although there are teachers that legit don't want to teach yet somehow get hired. I've seen it myself.
I always try to be cool with my teachers because honestly it's stupid to try and be on the bad side of the people who give you the grades you do. I don't mean to say that, yenno, you don't work for them but in the end of it all they're the ones who get to know you and decide where your intellect level lies in the end of it all. I've been pretty fortunate to have had only 2 cases of bad teachers. When other students act out I actually try to help how I can because yelling at a teacher for legitimately no reason isn't okay to me.
