Ariel's Ending
Being princess in this beautiful ocean blue was fun, until it lasted. After I married Erick, my dad informed me that mermaids were going missing. I heard that ended up in someone's stew at this fancy restaurant, I guess from a fish that died of being eaten by a shark. Pity for him, life is life and mother nature chooses your time to live and your time to die. But this is my perspective, I am still am a mermaid, so just try to put yourself in somebody else's gills and you are killing my ecosystem with fishing and oil spills. It is true after all, that is why I rarely swim in the ocean now with water pollution and overfishing happening from time to time. "Thank you BP.", muttered a biologist that I saw on the newspaper yesterday. Today was going to be the last time I was going to swim in the contaminated water of mine I call 'home'.
