So, how do people feel about a thread dedicated to help one another study? If you are struggling in a subject, and it just so happens someone else is excellent in that subject you struggle with, then would that be a possibility? Well, it is, but it is up to the community to decide if they would want to have a 'study thread'.
Ideas?

I don't even know what the elections are. All I know is that I probably will never be nominated.

I know someone attempted to make a study like program on here, and it barely got any activity. I don't think people are interested in using this place for academics.
And to be really helpful you'd really have to do some kind of skype call to talk real time and discuss, typing and sending pictures takes a lot of time. Not that it can't be done, but it'd be a hurdle.
But if you aggressively advertised it long enough you might get enough interest.

I honestly don't care. i am serious about the possibility of a thread to help one another academically in their studies, though.
Also, I spot that human!Cadance. (;

I voted for you both times so.
I think that is a great idea, I am home schooled and it's hard sometimes so that would be cool.

Hm. That is true. Creating a skype group so we can interact with one another does sound like a good idea. However, there is the issue of people not wanting to be heard. It could work, but as you said, it would have be aggressively advertised.

What if Discord was used instead? It is less laggy than skype. (thank the heavens above)
There could also be a PM topic dedicated to helping tutor/study with/learn with/teach each other. I know I am a literal genius when it comes to reading and reading comprehension, so I would be glad to assist how I could. (Advanced math...not so much. D:)

I think Discord would be perfectly fine. I mean, if this was actually pulled through, the 'student' wouldn't need to use any chat service if they didn't want to. But to actually explain a topic or go through problem by problem without just posting pics of answers, I think something else would be needed. If you're interested at all, you could look here: wcrpforums.com/thread/12967/wcrf-tutor-program. The OP might be interested in working with you. I could probably help with math by the way, depending on the level. But I think if it's going to happen, it'll be up to you to organize it and all that.

Oh. Nice! I will definitely think about this idea. This topic was more so a farce. My true agenda was discussing this idea of tutors. However, I also wanted to get a general opinion about it.

Honestly I was confused by your title and then the main subject of your original post, since it had nothing to do with being VP or whatever that's about. You could change it and demand people's opinions. I think mine is pretty clear, it's a great idea but realistically people just might not be interested in actually using it. But I'd love to be proven wrong.

Ye. I do not often use bait and switch titles. But, I knew that currently while...whatever this is is going on, I could use the hype to my advantage.
Another thing I have considered is the difficulty of the course itself. If someone is taking something like Trig or Calculus, they are likely going to want an actual tutor. But, if someone is having problems understanding a concept in...let's say Chemistry, or stuck on a problem in Algebra, I think having someone who knows that material to explain how to solve the problem would be helpful. (And by 'solve the problem', I mean explain the process. Then the person just has to plug in what they have learned.)

You said you'd make a terrible VP because you're too honest, but here you are exploiting click bait to advertise an idea. You're politician material if you ask me. That's true, but that shouldn't mean you should say it isn't open. It would probably be have to be some kind of system where someone asks for help, probably on a single assignment, and someone can *quickly* get to them to step them through it who knows the subject. But yea, if you do go through with it, feel free to tag me or PM me if you need help organizing or anything like that. Almost no one on here talks to me anyway so it sure as hell wouldn't be bothering me lol

I will do so! I will hae to think about it, though.
Also, that honest truth was a lie. This lie is the truth.
I should actually state I'm not VP material because I like screwing around with people's heads. Whoops. (: <

i'd love to help with -sciences (including anatomy, chemistry, biology. nutrition (for athletes and in general) might be included in "science"? also environmental classes (clean energy, causes of pollution, how to reduce waste, etc etc)) -maths (mainly trig and lower levels of math (geometry and algebra 1 and 2) -english (all types) -social science classes, especially psychology, sociology, and things involving child development (prenatal and postnatal)
i don't need help on any classes so far, but i might when i start college next year );
