•♕• this is bad because is it suggesting that there is only one good small bird, when in reality all small birds are good birds •♔•

tbh Magpies are interesting to me since they can recognize themselves in a mirror and they're dang smart like crows... common kingfishers/kawasemi are good for fandom reasons, as are rail birds/kuina for same reason. y'all gotta love house sparrows too, they're smol and cute too
[also i love all birds im just listing off faves in the 'tiny' category. if crows count lemme say i LOVE crows]

Kiwis! Budgies Would ravens/crows count? I'm not a bird expert, so I dunno if they're considered "small" or not. Also, any kind of small owl.

I like hummingbirds; they're adorable. We used to have two that visited yearly that we recognized (one was the tiniest hummingbird we've ever seen; the other was the roundest and fattest): both of them would use our rain gauge as a perch.
Indigo buntings are also gorgeous, as are orioles (though we see neither very often around here), and I also like red-winged blackbirds. Are kestrels considered small too? 'Cause I like those as well.
