A lot of people really hate Millie, but I noticed she's been a bit more fans now due to people making defense rants for her. So I want to know just how popular Gray X Millie is.
Millie is hated on because of her parenting for Blossomfall, but they are beginning to realize how much she's done for Graystripe and her Clan. Now I'm not a huge fan of her parenting. I don't approve of it. But I don't believe she's really that bad of a character. Millie helped saved Graystripe, she's even shown leading patrols and being in patrols, even helped Ivypool with her warrior assessment. She learned how to fight from Graystripe and she's actually shown a few times helping out her Clan.
Silverstream wasn't that great of a mate in my opinion. She's been shown as immature with Graystripe, willing to lie to Stormfur and Feathertail about their real father [Graystripe], she's irresponsible and cares about her own feelings than her father's, lets others lie and cover up her secret meetings with Graystripe even though they don't like it. However Silverstream became a great character after she died, helping others out of her Clan that aren't related to Gray like how Spottedleaf helped Fire, she cared about everyone, and she's one of the most mature cats in StarClan. Now I'm not fond of her relationship with Graystripe, but I like her as a character.
I am not going to debate about this because I know people might get a little too defensive. You can post your own opinion if you want, but I will not argue about it. This is not a debate thread against my opinion. I am simply curious about just how popular Gray X Millie is compared to Gray X Silver.

Personally I favor Silverstream over Millie, and GraySilver over GrayMillie. Millie wasn't as good as a mate to Graystripe imo, well more like Graystripe is still in love with Silver and barely pays his new family any mind at all. I don't blame him either...they're boring for the most part. And Millie's personality is just revolting when it comes to how she treated her children, not to mention her barbs toward StarClan. I feel like Silver is much better as a character and as a mother, also a mate. But that's my opinion.

Gray and Silver were young, and they were also each other's first love, and mates, they had a lot of development ahead of them, but Silverstream's life was cut short. It's why we only see her develop while she's in StarClan over time. She also never said anything about lying to other cats about Feather and Storm, idk why people keep saying this. She actually said as long as they know, that's all that matters, it doesn't imply that she was never going to tell others, it's that she didn't care that others knew, because she'd be proud of her kits regardless, she'd still love them, and that Graystripe should feel the same way. Also how is her wanting to grow out of her father's hold bad?? He spoiled her, and suffocated her with his parenting, and we find out why in CSP, he feared Mapleshade's curse. He also never told her about the curse, he was just smothering her, believing it's for her best interest, what about what SHE wanted. She went along with everything he told her all her life, and the one time she started making her own decisions because she was in love, suddenly she's a terrible character? Also Graystripe made Firestar cover up for him too, if you're gonna get mad at Silver for being covered by Misty, than you better be mad at Gray too. I'm just saying.

I prefer Graystripe x Millie. They had more development and Millie isn't really that bad of a cat either, she just isn't the best parent. I don't think she's necessarily the worst parent either, though.
As for Graystripe x Silverstream, I never liked it at all and it's one of my least favorite forbidden romances right next to Tiger x Dove. Both were being completely immature when it came to their relationship, but at least Silverstream seemed to be more subtle about it than Graystripe was when they were in public. Even so, none of them thought of the consequences and Graystripe became a huge jerk to Firestar simply because the latter was trying to warn him.

I mean Gray was already with Millie - that only proves that he doesn't care about her as much as he did for Silver. Also when Millie was dying, Gray thought of Silver, not Millie. He even told Jay, "If you have to choose which life to save, save hers." or something similar to that. Makes me wonder if he truly loves his new family over Silver's. He is also a terrible parent since he wasn't there for Blossom when Millie yelled at her, and he was watching. I wish the Erins wrote that Gray got over Silver. But clearly he hasn't and it's messed up. |
