I have this one giant google document of almost every character I've ever used in a story or roleplay. It's like, two hundred pages. Some of them are just names and brief descriptions, but I've got almost all of them. The problem is finding the one I want. I started getting lazy so they aren't 100% in alphabetical order anymore.
{ Arade } { 36 } { Male } Arade stands at almost two meters tall, average for a nice man like himself. Shaggy black hair sometimes hangs in his eyes and he often wears it up in a ponytail. His eyes betray the grace; the left one violet and the right a soft golden brown. The man is tanned and decently muscled, clearly in good shape. He’s always got a tired look to him, even when he’s extremely excited. Arade has a small amount of stubble from forgetting to shave his face. He is easily distracted by small things, and, more often than not, it gets in the way of him getting anything done. He often goes off on tangents, sometimes boring, but usually greatly amusing. And really, Arade can’t stop joking. Sarcasm, puns, the whole lot of it. He can’t get enough of bad humour. Even when he needs to calm down and be serious, he sometimes can’t get a grip on himself. His preferred weapon? Bad puns. If joking didn't work, he’d use his fists, rather than a fancy sword or knife. Arade is currently a bit of lone wolf, though he’d probably say that it was just his tough looks scaring people off… While some may say there is a million fish in the sea, Arade would look you in the eye and tell you he doesn’t want to marry a fish. { Graceling } { Lienid } {Grace: Stealth ) { Rust Red Rose }

{ Mikael "Mika" Seelk } { 23 } { Male } Mika stands just under 5'9" with darkly-tan skin, dark hair, and glasses over brown eyes. He tends to pull his hair back when anything important is going on, and he usually dresses in loose-fitting clothes of duller colors. When presented with conflict, Mika makes a great effort to settle issues through compromise or retreat, as he isn't entirely great at combat. Of course, this doesn't mean he travels unarmed. His elder brother refused to let him leave home without learning archery, and as result, Mika is fairly good at ranged combat and he usually carries a bow and full quiver. { Human } { I'd recommend maybe having Mika being from } ValkoinenLeuka } I also got their art done. Just quick, lazy doodles so you'll have to put up with that for now ) { Valkoinen Leuka } { 27 } { Female } Valkoinen is somewhat short, standing only 5'4", with long white hair and near-deathly pale features. She most commonly dresses herself in full-length clothing, covered and concealed within a hooded green cloak. Valkoinen is a rather proud woman, falling between the lines of ambitious and stubborn. She places most of her focus in physical feats, such as combat, and she rarely allows a conflict to pass without some sort of fight, often leading her to make judgements based on the prowess of others. For as long as she can remember, Valkoinen has traveled between the many regions, mostly sticking to the uninhabited wilds and rarely straying into cities or towns for supplies. She genuinely dislikes people due to the countless negative interactions she's experienced, making her distrustful and somewhat paranoid. { Monster } { Forgotten, travels constantly } ValkoinenLeuka }

I'd recommend maybe having Mika being from Lienid (the island, and there's lots of sea trade stuff, if I remember correctly). Not to mention that he fits fairly well with the appearance of someone from there.

{ Serena } { twenty-one } { female } Though she changes her appearance a lot, based on what would benefit her most at the moment, Serena naturally looks like a short, skinny young woman with pale skin and very feminine features. Her hair is pitch black, and cut to her shoulders, so it is not in her way. Her eyes always appear light blue, to hide her grace, but her left eye is truly hazel. She is only about five feet three inches, and doesn't look like she could hurt a fly. However, she /does/ look like she always wants to murder someone, due to her constant look of irritation. If she didn't look so mad all the time, perhaps she would be pretty, but because she almost never smiles, it is hard to tell. Serena is a very strong-willed, stubborn girl. She doesn't know how to stay out of trouble, nor does she know how to follow orders. This is due to her need to constantly be in charge - if she isn't, she becomes extremely rebellious, and will do whatever she wants regardless of the real task assigned to her. Which, typically, is not a good thing. She has a strong sense of right and wrong, and is extremely loyal to her country. Because of this, she trusts no one who is not from Monsea. She is extremely brilliant when it comes to things like strategy, but when it deals with people...nope. She absolutely is /not/ a team player, and is very bad at talking to people peacefully, without starting a fight. She is not the best at combat, however, usually carries a light sword with her, just in case. She also has a small amount of training with a bow. { graceling } { Monsea } { her grace is a little more complicated than some. She can change the way people see things. For example, she could make someone see a tree as a person, or make people see a group of large, buff men as delicate ladies. However, she cannot make people not see something completely, nor can she create something for them to see. She can only change what someone sees something already there as. } centuries
{ Kai } { thirty } { male } Kai stands right around six feet, and has very tan skin, along with dark hair and eyes. He is rather plain looking, and tends to blend in with everyone else in Estill. He has rather long hair, though, and it is kept in a very small ponytail at the nape of his neck. He does not wear glasses, though probably needs them, as his eyesight is not the best. However, he already thinks he looks "nerdy," so refuses to put any on, for any reason. He is not particularly muscular, but not stick thin either. He is somewhere in the middle, which, combined with his height, makes him just intimidating enough to make people steer clear of him and anyone he is with. Kai is a very relaxed, easy-going sort of guy. He tries not to stress the small stuff, and could be consider the "comic relief" of any group, as he is very facetious, meaning he cannot take things seriously. Because of this, he would seem bad to take along with on a mission, but he is actually quite useful. He has experience with many different weapons, and despite not being overly muscular, is good at hand-to-hand combat as well. He is almost like a bodyguard for the group, and even though he seems to never be paying attention to anything, is actually very observant. He just isn't overly suspicious of people, which means he can mistake bad people for innocent ones at times. His preferred weapon is his own fists, however, he can use almost anything given to him. { human } { Estill } { none } centuries
{ Candace (Ace) } { female } { eighteen } Ace is fairly pretty, mostly due to her life of luxury, being the princesss of the Dells. Her hair is dark brown, and reaches her hips, though it is typically kept in a high ponytail so it isn't overly irritating. Her skin is light brown, and extremely soft and smooth, once again from her privileged life. She has one deep brown eye, and one grey one, surrounded with thick, dark lashes that often hit the glasses she wears whenever she is forced to read something. She is actually pretty tall, about five foot seven, though it is mostly her legs that give her that height. It is rare to see her without a beautiful dress on, made from the finest seamstresses in all of the Dells, and she practically reeks of wealth. As you would guess from her grace, Ace is an elegant, regal woman with a higher regard for a person's wealth and education than anything else. She has been raised to believe she is above everyone else, however, isn't sure how she feels about that, so keeps that information to herself. Her grace is something she is extremely proud of, as she enjoys being useful to the king, and enjoys the life she lives. She wouldn't give it up for anything...well, almost. She is your typically damsel in distress, dreaming of a prince to come and "rescue" her. Excepts she wants to be rescued from her boredom, but still stay exactly where she is now. Basically she just wants a friend. She is the youngest out of the three royal children, and the only female between them. Her father is the king of the Dells, who was born and raised in the palace, and her mother is a former Lienid lady, a graceling who was married off to her current husband when she was young. She is the one who originally suggested her father using gracelings. { graceling } { Dells } { graced with...well, grace. She always knows exactly what to say, how to act, etc. } centuries
{ Astro } { twenty-eight } { male } Like all other monsters, Astro is absolutely gorgeous, and most people find him to be irresistible. He has striking golden hair, along with the greenest eyes you will ever see. His skin is dark brown, however, you can still see a few freckles spread across his body. He stands at about five foot eleven, fairly short for a male of his age, which irritates him greatly. He has a good deal of muscle on him, from having to protect himself from animal monsters, as well as large, calloused hands. He has perfectly white, straight teeth, and looks like your typical monster boy. Arrogant. Astro is very, very arrogant. He doesn't take anyone else seriously, and due to his beauty and mind-manipulating powers, thinks he is above anyone who is not a monster. His mother was a monster who died during birth, and his father raised him until he turned eighteen. { monster} { Dells } { none } centuries

{ Ajax } { 19 } { Female} Ajax is a rather thin girl with tanned olive toned skin. She is built athletically, with long, dark brown hair that is always braided tightly into a bun. She has one silver eye and the other cobalt blue, with a scar that runs from her wrist to her elbow from a training incident when she was younger. She has freckles that dot her nose and cheeks, making her look more innocent than she really is. She is smaller than average, only reaching about 5'2'' when she stands up straight. The girl typically wears cream or neutral colored, loose fitting tunic and trousers, and wearing more formal clothing when she is expected to in the palace, where she is placed due to the fact that she is graced and they use her grace often. Ajax is incredibly inquisitive, always wanting to know the answers to the questions she has. She's a bit naive at times, quick to trust her friends, and is loyal to her friends no matter what. She has a bit of a hard head, and tries her best to keep her questioning nature under raps when at the palace, fearing that she will be punished for her questioning nature, whether thats true or not. Extra (family, background, etc.) She grew up in Lienid, although neither of her parents are natives of the land. They came to Lienid a year before Ajax was born, but they won't say where she is from. { Graceling} { Lienid } { Is graced with Perception, although it is believed that her grace has to do with telling if a person is lying or not. SweetClover1 }
{ Camden (Cam) } { 21 } { Male } Camden is a rather tall, then male with messy black hair that is typically tied back in a ponytail, with bright green eyes. He wears neutral tones, usually the only thing that he wears that is bright is a deep red colored scarf, something that he uses to cover up a scar that runs from the bottom of his throat to his left shoulder. He has palish skin that easily burns- one time he got a sunburn when he was out on a rainy day. Shy, rather introverted male that doesn't do well with conflict. He is highly intelligent, being able to asses those he talks to and can easily work out problems. Its just that other humans make him uncomfortable in large quantities, or if he doesn't know them. Extra (family, background, etc.)Was found in the woods one day with a horrible gash that later healed, but he won't say where he is actually from. He is now a herbalist in Randa City. { human } { Unknown} screenname }

For years and years, as long as anyone could remember, the Kings of the Seven Kingdoms had complete control over Gracelings, using their powers for their own benefit, or as they called it, the "kingdom's" benefit. No one else had ever attempted this, for there was no one with enough power to make Gracelings do their bidding. At least, that's what people thought. It was only about a few decades ago that the Seven Kingdoms discovered the Dells, and vice versa. Along with this discovery, came the discovery of monsters, something that had odnever been seen before by any living member of the Seven Kingdoms. For the Dells, their huge discovery was the Gracelings. They had never seen them before, and like the seven Kings, decided they were very, very useful.
So, naturally, they decided to collect Gracelings to use. And why shouldn't they? The other Kings did it, and the Dells treated them just as good, if not better, than the Seven Kingdom's did. Still, the seven Kings were angry. Why should the Dells King get to use their Gracelings? Why didn't they use monsters instead? No one had an answer to these questions. Normally, the members of the Council would go to investigate, and negotiate with the Dells. However, they were all dead now. They were no longer there to run errands for the Kings, and so, they were forced to find other people to send to the Dells kingdom.
They picked these people carefully, taking months just to decide. This mission was extremely important, and the people they sent had to be perfect. One wrong word, and there could be a war. So, they only chose the best to go. Whether that was a human, a graceling, a monster - they didn't care. It's not like they could say no or anything, right? No one could say no to all seven Kings! It was impossible.
The people they chose were spread out across all seven Kingdoms, as they didn't bother gathering anyone from the Dells. No, they would not sink down to their level and steal Dells citizens to use for their own benefit. They stuck with their own people, and once they had made their decision, called them in to the palace in Lienid, where the majority of the people chosen were from.
Now the seven were seated in front of the Kings, scones and tea set before them in an attempt to make them feel more at home. Kai graciously accepted the food, scarfing it down quickly, while Serena sat stiffly, looking between the seven kings with narrowed eyes. She had changed her appearance, not wanting them to know her true face until she knew their reason for calling them there. So, as of right now, she looked like a plain, brown-haired girl, a girl with no features that someone could identify her with.
"So?" The king of Monsea asked once the seven had finished explaining the mission, waiting for them to agree before they went into further detail. Kai was too busy eating to say anything, while Serena stayed quiet and stone-faced, so they turned to the other five, eagerly awaiting their responses.

Mika remained silent, waiting for one of the others to speak first. He wasn't exactly certain what to think of this himself. He'd never really been any sort of position where he'd had to address someone of power. It made him cautious and uncertain of his own actions and words. Even his subconscious behaviors had stopped. He hadn't adjusted his glasses once since sitting down. He'd remained sitting with his back straight, almost afraid to shift himself to a more comfortable position. His eyes went to the others around him, hoping for an answer of any kind. What was he doing wrong, or right? What was this about, exactly. Why was he even here? They didn't think he was a Graceling like some of the others, did they?

Camden stiffened, clearly uncomfortable with the fact that he was seated near the kings. He was dressed in highly unusual attire for the typically lax herbalist, with a crisp, newly washed tunic adorned with a pale lavender sash, his hair in a bun for once. He remained silent, his long, delicate fingers drumming anxiously on his legs, not looking at the other six that were seated around him. Should have taken an anti-anxiety brew tonight. He thought wryly. This was a lot these kings where asking, and he didn't really want to say no to them, even if he didn't want to go. You couldn't say no to a king, that was grounds for execution, right?
Ajax, on the other hand, was perfectly at ease in the palace that she practically grew up in. She studied her own kingdoms king, wondering why he had not spoken about this to her earlier as she took a bite of the scones, her eyes rather thoughtful. "I guess we don't have much choice, now do we?" She asked with a small laugh, the first to speak out of the seven who had been called.

"Of course we don't. Who would ever say no to wonderful leaders? We should be greatful we were ever considered for this mission." Since Serena said this in such a dull, emotionless tone, it was difficult to tell whether she was being sarcastic or not. Especially because the expression on her face did not change at all. However, the king of Monsea, who she obviously knew well, shot her a dirty look, so it was likely her words were not serious. "I don't know about any of you, but I don't trust them. They could all be trying to trick us - it wouldn't be the first time the Kings have done that."
"Says the one deceiving people right now," the Monsean king muttered under his breath, to which Serena had no reply. She did look mildly annoyed, though, which was understandable. He had kinda made it sound like what she was doing was worse than what it actually was.
Having finally finished his scones and tea, Kai looked curiously at the Kings, not having to think for long before he came up with a decision. "I'm down." He wasn't sure why he had been chosen, but being sent to somewhere he had never been to negotiate with a king? That sounded pretty cool to him. "When will we leave?"
"Tonight, if at all possible." This time it was the king of Estill that spoke, having remained silent the entire time. "It is still pretty early in the day, so we were hoping you would make some progress by nightfall. We would give you supplies, of course, so you wouldn't need to worry about finding food or anything. You would just need to start walking towards the mountains."
"Seems simple enough, I suppose." Serena spoke up again, her lips pursed as she considered everything being said. Did she really want to leave Monsea to go talk to some idiotic King who decided to steal Gracelings? Well...maybe. It's not like her life now was exactly exciting. "As long as we're getting something out of it." She wasn't going to do anything for free. It wasn't in her nature to just do "favors" - she needed something in return, or it wasn't happening.
"You will get money, and whatever else you desire, within reason. You will receive this all once you get back, however, only if your mission is successful." Another king explained this, frowning slightly when he got an irritated look from Serena, as he had been expecting a better reaction. She opened her mouth to speak, but Kai beat her to it.
"Sounds fair to me!" He said cheerfully, receiving an icy glare from Serena, which he promptly ignored. "What do y'all think?"

Mika paused a moment before speaking quietly. "What are we meant to do if the King doesn't wish to speak with us?" He asked. He imagined no one of nobility really cared to hear their methods and thoughts criticized by someone else from another kingdom, even if they were sent by other kings. He couldn't imagine a king even listening to anything they had to say. Perhaps the others came from places where they were used to speaking to people of authority, but Mika certainly hadn't. At most he'd spoken to traders and a few merchants. That was really the best he could say to compare.
