[ Yeeeeey ]
"I don't remember agreeing to this again"
"Really? I remember you agreeing while you were trying not to faint in the office"
"That's not true I was...light headed. Your boss keeps a stuffy room" Atticus grumbled as the men exited the carriage cart, the night sky twinkled with different stars as the soft sound of music and laughter filtered through the windows of the large structure before them. He tugged on the collar of his suit, nervous sweat gathering around the nape of his neck as he glanced around. Why, why on earth did he agree to come to this dumb job or even get tangled in this mess in the first place? After that night with Dante, the Crows leader, Atticus and Rei stayed for just the one night before they were able to leave. And when returning home he got a stern lecture from his father, and almost slapped silly by his mother for worrying her to death. Rei took a lot of the brunt of the lecture too, but she claimed that they were both in this too deep to get out. That this was a matter of life or death for them and that if they were to fail this job, the whole family could end up dead. A risk Atticus's father was not willing to take since he gave up so much to protect them thus far.
But on another hand, Atticus claimed he had a way of getting them into this party, that he knew speical people which he did. His father was friends with the Royal King tossing this party and was able to get Atticus and his 'group of guards' as well. Of course, Atticus felt guilty for lying to his father about his 'guards' who were actually killers looking to well...kill his family. But Rei had said this was important, that this was something they had to do in order to catch them red handed before the attack on the Valhalla's- and before Nrys could grab his little sister. But if Atticus knew of what this job required- the attire he means- he would have backed out.
Hell, he was sure that Remus was enjoying the fact that they all had to squeeze into pink frilly suits. Well...Atticus wasn't gonna lie he enjoyed seeing Heulfryn in a pink suit. It made him look cute, puppy dog cute. And not 'I'm-gonna-kill-you' fae dude that had pushed him against a wall while staring. "If you have a complaint, take it up with him" Remus said as he fixed his cuffs, the pink suit Remus had on was just a dull pink but with a bright in your face magenta collar shirt underneath. It clashed with his dark red hair and icy blue eyes, not to mention it made his skin look a tad bit more paler then usual. Remus for once didn't enjoy the suit he was wearing. Atticus on the other hand, the suit was more soft pink, baby pink with a ruffled shirt and vest underneath. Hair combed tightly back from his forehead like Remus instructed, looking more like his princely self with the strong jaw and the kind of droopy look. Again, a boy in a man's body- or a boy prince in a King's body. "I'll pass" Atticus muttered as he waited for the rest to get out, the girls coming separately from them so Atticus had no idea what to expect from them.
For now Atticus focused on the large building in front of them, it was no Selunti but it could match in size to it. Made from marble, located in the richer parts of Noridi- and the stricter parts as well. Also the cause for the nervous sweats from Atticus, who was trying to keep a stone face without thinking about the threat of guards and those that would recognize him. This party was in celebration of the King of Rechisan's soon to be prince/princess. Powerful country, located right smack in the middle of the trading routes so it was important for Kevior to earn their trust. So for good faith, Atticus's father offered that the celebration be taken here in the ice gardens of Noridi. They took the offer, but have no idea Atticus was really going to show up. The King of Rechisan knew of what Atticus looks like- or well what he looked like when he was about 14. Still....anyone of these people could recognize Atticus, he would be forced to back out and possibly reveal Rei as well. He didn't even want to think about what Heulfryn would do to him if he connected the dots. It sent nasty shivers down his spine. But good thing for him, he didn't have to think that much on it before the next carriage came up, and out popped some familiar faces
And boy for a minute he didn't recognize them for savage, gambling, gang members. They looked like...girls.
Rei was the first to pop out, her face a flush of red so bright it was the same shade as her hair. Which was curled, and the bangs braided back from her face with loose strands resting against her forehead. Her dress was the color of the sky on a clear day, a clear crystal choker strapped on her neck linking down to dangling bits in diamond shapes. The dress was silky, not at all tight but not that loose either, the heels were strapped all the way up to her knees and matched her necklace with little crystal bits shaped like diamonds. She looked like a warrior princess- cliche description but it was the only one that fit. Not to mention it was the only outfit she agreed to wear. "Looking nice Miss Dorn" Atticus commented when joining her, only getting a huffed grumbled in response. Rei wasn't the biggest when it came to dresses, in fact she was kind of struggling to walk in those shoes alone, wobbling and instantly holding onto Atticus's outstretched elbow. "Careful...your prince is showing" She said after a moment, dismissing the situation at hand about the clothes and instead focusing on how prince he looked. Straight back, arms tucked behind him and just looking...like a prince. "Careful your grumpy is showing" He replied back.
"Oh shut it you two geez you act like you have never been to a party" Said a familiar voice behind them, a certain short blonde haired girl that for some reason has been extra sassy and just plain violent towards others. She gave Atticus a bruise just before leaving, trying to show him a fighting move and was going 'easy' on him. Yeah right, his right arm was still sore. She was dressed in a more regal dress, flowing and swathed in different fabrics that wrapped around her. Her hair was pinned back with a single clip and makeup was gently patted on her face hiding her little freckles. She looked....girlish. But still had a mouth of a sailor. "Stop whining before I give you both something to complain about like two black ey-" She began, a soft scowl coming to her face when tapped by Remus. "Sybil dear, please try and smile and say pretty things instead of vulgar stuff...do you need a moment with Will? Is that it?" Remus tried, before getting a pretty hefty punch in the arm for the comment. "I'll have a moment with you in a alley, with a steal pipe Hawkins" She muttered while a bright blush bloomed across her cheeks. Remus just smiled while rubbing his arm like he was the smartest cookie in the whole world.
He probably thought he was the prettiest cookie too

《 I have muuuuse. And snow. It's freezing and windy and snowing outside xc 》
Heulfryn was in a right mood for murder tonight.
Usually he didn't have an overly fond taste for killing - he found no enjoyment in pointless bloodshed - but tonight he might just end up killing someone. Or worse.
These damn suits.
He was fairly certain he'd never worn anything quite so ridiculous to a party - and that was including the brief years a century and a half ago when periwinkle and mint were the in colours. As Heulfryn tended not to opt for any outfit that was less than 65% black (grey and occasionally white were acceptable within that), those years had been particularly trying. He would hate to see the things Remus Hawkins might have put together. But this - this was worse. His suit - yes, his, because of course even Hawkins hadn't had such suits lying around, so the cost of this custom was coming out of his pay - was a dusty rose pink, the pants of the same shade. His vest underneath was silvery gray, over a pink-pinstriped white shirt and a pale rose coloured paisley ascot tie. It was finely made, at least, the fabric of his shirt smooth rather than scratchy, quality he'd always deemed to pay a little more for. But that didn't change the fact he felt a little uncomfortable in these clothes, like the aristocracy that had demanded they be worn might stick him on a shelf to be looked at. He itched to swath himself his usual dark fabrics, or better yet his beloved coat.
The other men were in similarly ridiculous clothes. Even Hawkins didn't seem to be a fan of their attire for the night. And Eius… He looked like a man from the neck up, anyway, his hair combed back not unlike his own. But his suit… Heulfryn’s mind was a little boggled by all the frills. Too many frills. And the colour was like a baby blanket. Gross. Although perhaps fitting, given his sentiment toward the boy. He was still feeling bitter that Eius had ignored his warnings. Not that it was Heulfryn’s problem that he was going to get himself killed within a week. Nevermind that he'd at least been pleased with Eius’s connections that had gotten them into the party, although Heulfryn probably could've managed just as easily.
He looked away, setting his eyes instead on the carriage that had just rolled in behind theirs. Belonging to the girls, of course. He watched as they stepped out one by one, looking both more refined and feminine than their usual getups. Heulfryn was quite jealous of their assigned colour, blue, which was so much more pleasing to the eye. He looked each of them over briefly, not lingering with any particular interest. He had no interest in a), associating with those he was working with, and , associating with humans. Perhaps there was another reason in there somewhere, but he didn't linger on that either.
“Pardon, did I hear someone say my name?” Came another voice as it's speaker finally came out of the men's carriage. Will seemed to be the only one of them who didn't mind his suit, for the simple reason that he was very used to wearing whatever was set in front of him. He didn't have any particular inclination for fashion. His own suit was a bold, vivid pink, the jack thrown over a blue-and-white pinstriped shirt with a matching pink bowtie. It seemed he'd already managed to ruffle his hair. He grinned when he saw the girl's carriage had arrived. “Ah, evening ladies. I see you all are looking lovely. With the exception of course of Eliza.” The sister in question, who was wearing a dress the colour of an early dusk sky, offered her brother a rather unladylike gesture with one hand.
“I hope we don't plan on standing around chatting all night,” said Nerys, gesturing towards the party. Of course, their plans involved anything but. Not that she minded the party itself, really. She found the clothes the men were wearing rather amusing. And she was quite fond of this dress she'd found; midnight blue, the interwoven fabric woven with little silver sparkles that caught like stars when the light hit them just right. It was even in a very Lyrian style; gathered in the right places but loose, flowing. The front was regal, rising to a halter top, while the back was… well, there wasn't much back above the skirts. It covered a little more than enough to keep from being trashy. Her hair hung mostly loose around her shoulders, a couple pieces pulled away from her face with silver clips. Flat shoes on her feet - Lyrian women didn't have such a thing as high heels.
Heulfryn grumbled his agreement, and Eliza followed suit as he headed towards the doors. Will slipped in beside Sybil, offering her his arm. “What do you think of this suit, now? Less like a toad, perhaps…”

[ Same but no snow. We had snow but then it was the stuff that only stuck for a while ]
"I don't remember saying 'Stupid Nut-head' so I think you're hearing thing's Gansey" Sybil said, with a small smile plastered on her face. Even though the events of a couple nights ago were still fresh in her mind, she was still gonna take the pleasure of teasing Gansey as much as she can with good nature of course. "But I guess this is a nice switch up...you look like a cupid. Tell me where's the bow and arrow uh? And the little diaper?" Sybil said as she looped her arm with his, the chill of the night spreading goose-flesh down her arms so she instinctively pressed closer to Gansey. "I second with Nerys, are we ever gonna get inside?" Rei said from where she stood, awkwardly fidgeting with her choker necklace or trying to tug a strand of her hair out of place to cover her reddening ears. "Well I'm not exactly telling you all to linger outside now am I?" Remus said as he straightened his suit lapels and grinned up at the group that spelled I'm not your freaking mother which also signaled that they should indeed get moving. So they moved as a group, Rei not exactly lingering to one of the boys to hang over but close enough so others would think she's with a partner.
"Such children, I have to say. Anyway, shall we go in Eliza?" Remus said, offering his own arm to Eliza as the rest moved on. The party inside though? Well it was something to see alright. It spelled BABY IS A COMING pretty darn loud, considering the many decorations plastered all over the inside. Pink and blue streamers were tossed all over the banisters and ceiling chandlers ( how did they get up there? ) and there was huge lines of tables pressed against the walls littered with food and deserts of all kind, not to mention plenty of drinks to choose from. But the guests well....let's just say that the guys weren't the only ones sulking about because they were forced to wear pink suits. Sybil nearly doubled over laughing at the sight of it, she had to bite her lip and snicker to herself as they walked in. "The clan of the cupid boys. Look at this I-I can't I'm gonna-" She said between whispered, trying to smile like a pretty dainty thin but instead she ended up smirking like a rascal as normal. The men seemed as embarrassed as the guys were, lingering toward their all too amused wives or lovers. The only men not wearing pink? The royal family of course, sitting at the high table talking loud enough for everyone to hear.
His wife was dressed in white silks and the King was wearing a red robe or thick cape with yellow and green clothes underneath him. It was hard to explain really because the look was so exotic and foreign that there was no real good way to explain it. Atticus on the other hand didn't really care for that, he had to lower his eyes to the ground and hopefully people won't know who he was, maybe the fact he wasn't dressed in the flashiest clothes and snug between two guards would turn people away from him. Rei didn't seem all that bother in fact she lingered behind the group, rubbing her arms as looks and glances came their way. She felt like the whole room was staring at them, at her. And she didn't like that, she didn't like this exposed nature to herself. Of wearing fancy clothes such as this it was odd and she didn't like it. She preferred a suit maybe, heck she would even wear a tight undershirt so she could pass as a young man but that idea was ruled out. It would be clear she was female from her face alone so there was no point in trying to cough up some kind of illusion she was a man. She just had to stick it out. Made her wonder how Nerys and Sybil could act like this was so normal. To Rei the other girls looked far more beautiful then her, Eliza looked elegant, Sybil looked fair and pretty and Nerys looked...well beautiful. Rei felt like a little girl in women's clothing.
"Everyone remember what I told you in the beginning alright? And newbies- do try to ace this without fail. Dante is hoping for a score tonight" Remus whispered as they entered, reminding Rei of exactly the reason they were here for. Duh, she nearly forgot with all the fretting over her own dumb insecurities. Their job tonight- a test run, was to steal some very important rocks from this certain family. No not rocks, gems. A emerald necklace encrusted with gold, a sapphire pendant that was engraved with the runes of the lost elf culture. Basically a lot of stuff that was linked to magicals in the past but have long since been in the hands of mortals considering how in the past normal humans and magicals use to interact like nothing was wrong. Some families had magical ancestors and some magicals had human ones. Odd how they were all so divided now a days. Anyway, the job is to steal from this family but not too much to get in trouble. Just small things that wouldn't be noticed but would still hold value. Rei wasn't big on the idea but she knew how this kind of thing worked. She was raised on this kind of stuff.
"We got it old man, now get to wooing will ya? Or will this be a repeat of the last party we attended?" Sybil whispered back, fond of the memory if it weren't for the fact it almost got her killed. Atticus only nodded, trying hard to be friendly and as normal as possible, seeing as his job is to only act as a distraction for the rest to get upstairs and inside. Smile and wave, cause any distraction that was needed so they could get up stairs. A good example is what happened at the pub a few days ago when they all met, the little fit that had happened was caused by Remus as a distraction to lead the others attention away from the group. Or as Sybil would put it in more clear terms, to keep the audience focused on something else while the main trick is being pulled right in front of them. Have them focus on something so small and meaningless but make it seem like a big deal, while the real trick was happening behind their hands. To Atticus it made sense, he didn't need it to be explained much more. Truth be told he wondered how this job was gonna prove that Nerys and the rest could pull off the bigger heist. Considering Remus only gave vague instructions, he didn't say who would go where exactly. He only said that some could be a distraction, Atticus ( or Eius in that case ) could distract the guards.
Atticus smiled slightly towards strangers who caught his eye, lingering a bit to the right to where he bumped into Heulfryn - glancing toward the fae before casting his eyes away. Ah he didn't even want to get into that area of his head right now. What mattered now was how they were gonna go about this. Remus was testing them, he was gonna expect Nerys to take charge since she was leading this group by the looks of it. He wanted to see if this ragtag group could actually pull off a heist together, so that they didn't end up wasting their efforts on a group that clearly couldn't cut it. The red head made it clear with his boss at his side last night that they weren't afraid to cut ties as clean as a swipe with a knife if this didn't go well. Dante was a scary dude too, dark eyes like tar pits and hair so black it was like he took a piece of the sky and glued it to his head. But young, almost too young for this sort of work. "Oi" Atticus snapped out of his thoughts after a while, looking to his side to see a certain red haired female by his side, now with a tint of worry crossing her bright blue eyes. "You gonna be alright?" She asked in a hushed voice.
Atticus glanced to the side for a split second before grinning a bit, nodding. "Of course" He replied. Rei didn't fully believe him but it was worth asking before things get gritty. Oh well, at least he wasn't shaking and quivering like a little girl. Rei took one glance around the room before her eyes settled on Nerys, as if expecting some secret command. Well actually she kind of was....considering that they really needed to know what was to happen. Remus wasn't gonna help exactly and since Rei wasn't in charge that fell to Nerys. Which was something Rei wasn't use to, she was use to being the one giving the commands...not taking them. Either way there was no way to avoid it. They had to do it now, get it done and over with and then...eh she didn't want to think that far ahead.
Sybil on the other hand was having a fun time watching the newbies squirm a bit, between laughing at stupid suits Remus and Will were wearing and the other men wearing pink frilly suits of course. "I think you are the only man here that's happy about wearing such a hideous color...but then again you kind of pull it off. Kind of" Sybil said after a while, a small smile playing at her lips as she glanced up at Will while raising an eyebrow to him. She didn't mind the suit....she wouldn't mind it being somewhere else though. Like a fire pit. Burning.

《 We still have a tiny bit, but I don’t think it will last long 》
Will merely chuckled at Sybil's comment, smiling at her fondly as they led the way towards the party. Nerys saw him lean over and give a joking reply, distinctly hearing something about ‘later’. Perhaps he wasn't joking after all, then. Nerys wouldn't be surprised if the two of them snuck away from the main crowds after a while - the other Crows were only there to make sure things went smoothly, after all. The others soon followed Sybil and Gansey. Eliza smiled politely as she took Remus’s arm, and Nerys herself took Heulfryn’s - who scowled for a split second before his expression melted into the perfect gentleman. She found it almost scary how easily he could do that.
The party was like any other in this part of the city; grandiose, noisy and full of rich people. Everything had been decorated to match the theme of pink and blue, with silky ribbons and streamers and banners of the visiting Royal Family's crest. The aristocrats in attendance were dressed similarly to them, men in pink and girls in blue - the prior of which seemed to be causing a lot of discomfort. Nerys scoffed silently. Men and their pride - what a horror it was that their fragile masculinity must be subjected to magenta and frills. The sight of the food tables was much more pleasing, and Nerys felt her mouth watering. But now was hardly the time to be stuffing herself silly; she had jewels to steal, after all.
She'd spent a long time debating the best course of action when it came to this job. Obviously someone would have to stay in the party as crowd control - that is to say, cause a distraction. They needed something that would get everyone's attention away from the ones who would slip by to steal their jewels, but wouldn't plunge everything else into chaos. A fight like the one at the tavern the other night would be too much, too unpredictable. In the end the hardest decision had been where to put Heulfryn - his magic would be ideal in creating a distraction, but would also provide good cover with the thieving group in case they were caught. In the end she'd decided he'd better stick with helping with the distraction. She ran through the plan with him quietly as they circled the room, still on his arm. He merely nodded and smiled and put in laughs as if she were telling him something funny, nodding as she drew away. “Pass that on to pretty boy, will you?” Nerys requested bluntly as she turned away, already scanning the room for a petite redhead.
Heulfryn nodded, heading off in the opposite direction. He took a glass from a server as he passed, downing its contents in a single gulp. It fizzed on the way down, something light and sweet and fizzy - champagne, probably. He had time to kill before he needed to get going on his part of the plan, and that meant he had to blend in. He smiled at a group of young ladies as they passed by, a moment later hearing their giggles and something that sounded a lot like cheekbones. Dear gods, he needed another drink. Or ten. Humans were so ridiculous. Still, for the next while he managed to smile and schmooze and socialize, looking to all the world like just another chattering aristocrat. Across the room he could make out Nerys doing the same.
Heulfryn had finally paused in his small talk long enough to grab that second glass - and found Eius a short distance to his left. Heulfryn strolled in that direction casually, letting his steps fall a little unevenly. His shoulder clipped Eius, and he felt his glass slip in his hand, contents pouring out on one pink frilly suit. “Oh, darn,” Heulfryn said as he steadied himself on Eius. He let his words run together, transforming into a slightly tipsy partygoer without a trace of magic. His cheeks were healthily flushed, and he offered up an apologetic smile. “My bad, my bad. Let me help clean you up a little…” He clapped a hand on Eius’s shoulder, guiding him once again away from the crowd. “We're to distract the crowds while the ladies head elsewhere. Nerys said you're to come up with our distraction - whatever you say, I'll lend my… talents.” He supposed Nerys wanted to test Eius a little. Heulfryn wasn't surprised; he wanted to test him too.
Will Gansey, meanwhile, was having a fine time overall. He was basically only there in case the newbies did something very wrong. And since they hadn't yet… He was essentially getting a free evening with Sybil, so he wasn't complaining. “Happy? Sure, I don't mind it. I wouldn't say it's my favourite colour, but it'll do,” he replied easily. His smile shifted into somewhat of a smirk, and he lowered his voice. “I'd much rather you pull it off for me, honestly.” He poked her in the cheek, just to make sure she knew he was teasing. Somewhere in the room, music picked up, and he cast a glance around the room. His smile grew more wicked still as his suspicions were confirmed. He held out a hand. “Care for a dance, Miss Rye?” Will asked, remembering another night, another party, months ago when he'd asked her much the same question. The night they'd first spoken.

[ Bye bye snow you will not be missed ]
Atticus cringed slightly as the drink spilled over him, mostly because of the fact it was cold and this suit wasn't exactly thick. In fact on contact, the fabric stuck to his body and he felt like someone glued it to his chest. But when looking up, he cast all those thoughts aside, letting Heulfryn speak while offering an awkward smile to speak through. "A distraction?....I can do that" He said as his mind worked. Ah...a distraction was something he wasn't really use to giving. But he was creative...and creativity meant something now a days right? Atticus cast a hesitant look up toward the royal table already striking out that he couldn't barge up there and do something stupid. But then again, that didn't mean he could do something else entirely stupid. Atticus let out a soft sigh before letting the thought roll through him a few times, letting it set, and then slung his arm around Heulfryn and matched his steps as if they were drunken fools. "Most likely the Rechisan guards will be more focused on the royals then us, and the man power would be focused on protecting the queen and King then protecting some jewels but that doesn't strike out guards will be stationed there anyway" He murmured as he lead Heulfryn toward the center of the room where others were dancing. He slipped the empty glass from Heulfryn's hands and onto a passing tray before dragging him toward the dance floor, a spot where everyone could see them. "And if I know one thing, Rechian's love a celebration so...just roll with me alright. It will sell better too if you made our hair a little more...colorful and you a bit more...Rechisan" He added.
Rei watched the prince drag Heuylfryn toward the front of the room, picking up a glass of whatever drink was being dispensed and stopping before the royals table a safe distance away. "Vala! ( Hello in Rechisan ) Your highness! I can say this is such a great honor to have you here tonight. Me and my partner here you know we admire you so much" Atticus called out, loud enough for the room to hear. "And I congratulate you on your soon to be prince/princess. All children are precious yes?" He went on, his voice rising above the rest just saying Look at me, Look at the two Kings in the room. He was trained to sound regal and loud, to be proper and call attention. "...Partner?" The king said after a moment when most of the room was hushed except those dancing on the floor. "Yes! Going on 10 years. You know, Partners. Like you and your queen. I know, it's not a very popular thing but hey what can I say. This block here stole my heart and won't let go" Atticus said, drawing Heulfryn closer and smiling big like what he said was the truth. "And I know tonight is about your baby to be but I was wondering if we could have the honorable blessings of yours truly? My...love here was born in your country and would love your blessings and such for another 10 or some years of good fortune for us. Bring all the guards too! Make it a small thing you know" Atticus went on. He was going to die via Heulfryn tonight when this is done. But...Rechisan's were sticklers for celebration.
And so they were. Immediately the King stood as if this was something he didn't do every day. "Of course! I do not see a reason not to. Ugani, ab es me!" The king called quickly. Yes a little blessings like this required all Rechisan present to be there as witness. When giving blessings from the King, it was common that everyone that could see it well see it. For once Atticus's lessons were paying off...not the way he wanted them to but still. "Yes come on...everyone! Oh this is great" Atticus went on, for a second he thought he heard a bark of laughter from behind him but he dare not break the illusion he was setting up. Of course the one who laughed was Remus, watching from the sidelines with Eliza, face red with withheld laughter. "The kid has creativity I can say that" Remus said between inhales of air to steady himself. "But Eliza remind me to note this as a story to tell the boys...excluding the pink suits of course"
Rei was also a bit shocked at what she was hearing. She was standing by the stairs, listening to Atticus fabricate such a story. Well he was one to...make believe per say. She just didn't expect something of this....kind. But it really didn't matter if it was odd or not, for it seemed to work. The guards from upstairs she had her eyes on came clambering down, muttering to each other as they went to gather near the royals table. Not every day a Rechisan get's to see this kind of blessing ceremony take place. Rei wasn't really on hands with it as Atticus was but as far as she knows, those guards were the only ones in charge of the upstairs. Considering most of the guards were focused around the royal family that they didn't really pay much attention to the fact someone could break in and steal stuff. That was the easy part she guessed, getting the guards from the upstairs....it was getting in and out that proved the challenge due to some magical tricks involved. Rei only glanced up to look for Nerys, when spotting her she nodded towards the top of the stairs and began to ascend them. She only prayed to the gods that they forgive her for what she is to do tonight.
She slipped up the stairs when the guards were all clustered around Heulfryn and Atticus, some of the guests too preoccupied with either the dancing or what was happening to care about the red head slipping up the stairs and into the shadows that were cast out because of the lack of light. And she would wait for Nerys up there while fixing the clip in her hair. More then a decoration too, given to her as a form of weapon. Sharp needles that poked at her scalp could also prove to be a nice deadly um clip knife? Who knows, Rei was more accustomed to the normal knifes and daggers she was able to put in sheathes instead of the weapons like this. She was no stranger to it though.
But Sybil didn't carry any weapon on her, and honestly was happy she didn't pack any brass knuckles. She just grinned at Will's comment, a blush crossing her cheek as she thought about it only to look back up at him with a sly smile. "Will you sly mutt" She said with a choked giggle, him poking her cheek didn't help her snuff out the smile coming to her face. She would have to think of something later to combat those words but later. Or maybe sooner who knows. Sybil looked at his hand and smiled, thinking back to that same night where she was stuffed in a horrible fluffy dress and had other ideas in mind then dancing with Gansey. But man, times changed so quickly cause instead of scowling at his hand and taking it out of regret, she took his hand with a real smile on her face. "I would love to, Will Gansey...just mind your toes." She murmured as they went to the floor, her eyes pinned on his face with a little smile on her face. Honestly, she prayed the newbies didn't screw up. Cause she planned on enjoying this evening with Will, if he wanted to dance they'll dance, if he wanted to eat until he can't walk she'll watch and encourage him. And if he wanted to slip away and just roam the building well....she won't argue.

《 Eeep I have so much muse but I have to go to sleeeeep so I’m decently awake in class tomorrow. I guess I’ll have to write for the others tomorrow then 》
Heulfryn wasn't entirely sure he trusted whatever Eius apparently had in mind, but he followed the boy nonetheless. If Nerys wanted to risk losing this mission - and the Crow’s support - thanks to a runaway merchant boy, that was her decision. He nodded, following wordlessly as he set about completing his instructions. He turned Eius’s hair to a pale white-blond - he might’ve gone with a reddish brown if he'd had more time, but red hair could look unnatural if the pigment was just off. Platinum blond wasn't more colourful , per se, but it certainly altered his appearance. Heulfryn took the liberty of painting the boy's eyes a deep blue and - Eius looked like a completely different person, if Heulfryn did say so himself. His own features were still there, of course, but he doubted anyone would by chance recognize him at a glance. He was… striking. Well, a small improvement - he was slightly less of a lily-livered mercher boy this way. For himself all he had to do was shift his own colourings - which of course he had well practised. His pale skin turned sun-kissed tan, his dark hair flaxen, already false green eyes flecked with hazel. In the blink of an eye he looked as though he'd been plucked from the Rechisan farmlands. Normally he'd have thought it necessary to modify their clothing, but with every man in the room in matching clothing there wasn't much need.
Heulfryn followed Eius out to the dance floor, eyeing the young man curiously. What exactly did he have planned? He had mentioned something about how the people of Rechisan loved their celebrations. It was true - Heulfryn knew it to be personally. It seemed pointless to mention, but he actually had been born in Rechisan. That had been a very, very different time, when humans and the magical folk had not lived so distantly. When he and his mother had lived among humans, before she'd been called back to Solas Àn Leis (the Mirror Court in a literal translation, but better known simply as the Court of the Fair Folks). He stood by Eius’s side as he greeted the king, speaking confidently and surely. At least the boy was a good speaker, and apparently not a bad actor because -
Me and my partner… Like you and your queen. Okay, Heulfryn had not been expecting that. Still, he didn't let his surprise show, allowing Eius to pull him in close. He let his own being melt into this character he needed to be. His lips split into a bashful smile at his “lover’s” comments about him, eyes finding the floor before lifting to scan the other boy's face. Slowly, carefully, the way one might when they wanted to remember something they held dearly in their heart. In reality he was assessing and repairing his illusionary threads, reinforcing and authenticating them. At the King’s response, Heulfryn raised his eyes, then bowed. “Thank you kindly, Your Majesty. I would be very honored for your blessings for my partner and I. Rechisan will always hold a place in my heart; I hope one day to return to visit Gaväli, my birthplace. But, well…” Heulfryn cast a meaningful look at Eius, that soft little smile stealing his lips again. “My family is here, now.” He spoke with the perfect rolling lilt of a Rechisan accent - one that he hadn't even had to fake. Not the accent of royalty, either; a farmboy’s accent. Gaväli was a small village far out from any of the larger cities, nothing but fields and forest for miles in any which way. It smoothed out the roughness in his usual tone considerably. In recent decades he'd predominantly stuck to a Noridian accent, for the sake of having less questions asked, but one never really forgot their natural accent.
Native or not, he couldn't say he remembered what was involved in a blessing like this one - as a child that kind of thing had escaped his fancy entirely. Heulfryn only hoped it was nothing too… physical. Not that he hadn't done any of this before… Well, actually, he'd never received a blessing from human royals before. Especially not one of this variety. He threaded his fingers through Eius’s, squeezing the young man's hand noticeably; faking affection was all in the little gestures. He just hoped this wouldn't require them to actually kiss or anything. Eius would pay if that was the case.
Hell, Eius was going to pay for this one anyway.

[ Eyuck school. I mean yayyyy school ]
Atticus had to force his eyes to meet Heulfryn's without breaking character, ignoring the obvious stares from in the room ( And a certain red hair laughing behind the wall of people ) to look lovey dovey. Atticus has been in love before, of course he has and in result he ended up being broken or breaking another. Maybe that was never love then uh? Anyway the fact was that they had the guards attention and that was enough. He smiled at Heulfryn when he spoke, nodding along and smiling at him bright like anything else would dampen his mood. The king seemed happy enough though, calling his people closer to the two while he walked around the table dressed in his thick robes. "I must say this is exciting. The gods must be smiling on all of us- tell me do you pray to our gods or yours?" The king asked Atticus, the thought going through one ear and out the other for a moment for the prince. The gods? Well...of course Atticus prayed to his gods, or more likely the ones his grandfather believed in. There were a lot of gods out there for everyone but the Gods of West End Royalty were the ones he prayed to. Mostly because they were like...just peaceful beings. Didn't make him devote his whole life to praying to them. But Atticus knew about the Rechisan gods and well.....
"At first I prayed to only one set of gods but...now after an obvious new look on things, I pray to your gods but still my own just...for better things" Atticus said, the one arm still slung around Heulfryn drew him closer and he grinned with his eyes set on him. His face said You make me smile while the tiniest part of his eyes said Don't kill me. But the King didn't seem to catch that look, only grinned at the answer before clapping his hands. "Perfect! I see you two are very much happy and I have to add it's nice seeing this kind of love. Noridi seems to be filled with the variety of people, I wish your own King or Prince could be here for this but oh well!" He said as he chuckled. "Let's get this show on the road!" He announced, Atticus forced the smile to brighten and he lifted Heulfryn's hand that was threaded with his own to fake a kiss on the knuckles when really Atticus brushed his lips on his own knuckles. They needed to look like lovers who were together for 10 years, so Atticus had to sell it. He tried to think of all the gushy stuff that he would do with any princess, how they liked it when you pecked their cheeks and say some dumb compliment, kiss their hands, all that gunk. But guys? Well that's...another story to tell. Anyway, when Atticus looked up he was pretty okay with what he took on for a look. Heulfryn looked handsome, very handsome. He wasn't going to lie when it was the truth.
"My people! It's been a while since I have done a blessing...a total 72 hours since then" The king began, a soft chuckle rolling through the guards present and whatever Rechisan chose to come up. Atticus let a chuckle roll through his own body at the light joke, shifting his body a bit to where his arm was more relaxed and his stance was straighter so he seemed taller which meant his own nerves were kicking in. He was nervous because this mission was suppose to be a success and for whatever reason, Atticus really really wanted to succeed in this. He wanted to prove himself, for whatever reason, that he wasn't some kid looking for some light fun. He realized this was a serious matter when the words murder and royal family came knocking at his door. But...if one thing he couldn't stand, even when faced with possible death, was someone thinking he was any form of weakness. He wanted to seem strong and in charge, like how his father could silence a whole room without so much as a word falling from his mouth. And Atticus wanted to be like that, he wanted to see strong and not at all weak. But then again did he care about what the others thought....or what Heulfryn thought? He didn't a chance to sit on the idea for the King was shifting Atticus around so he was facing Heulfryn.
"Now let's send a prayer up to the gods shall we? And since you have known your partner here for so long maybe you would like to do so-?" The king began, giving Atticus a moment to let him figure out that he wanted a name. "Oh Attttttlas. Atlas." He began, catching himself before he uttered the full name. The king raised an eyebrow before smiling and nodding for him to continue. "Then go on Atlas...send a prayer my friend" He began. Oh boy, Rechisan speaking time already? Atticus hadn't spoken Rechisan in forever...not to mention he thought he was horrible at it. So with a deep breath, Atticus gripped the back of Heulfryn's head like he was told to do when making a prayer, pressed his own forehead against the fae's and began to speak. It wasn't horrible really, it was good for a Noridian. The accent wasn't bad either, his eyes closed as he spoke in a loud enough voice to be heard but soft enough to be considered gentle. He prayed to the Rechisan gods of love and peace, to the god of light that walks through the fields. Honestly it could go on forever but Atticus wanted to hit the major nails. The king nodded along and smiled, looking up when Atticus finished. "I have to say, that is impressive for a Noridian to say all that...the accent could use some work but not bad." He said with a grin.
"I've been practicing for a while sir. See, I told you it wasn't gonna be bad. You fret too much." Atticus said with a smile. "He worries so much I tell ya. I have to remind every day that I'll be careful, that I won't get sidetracked. While I have to remind him just where his left shoe is every morning" Atticus went on to say, grinning a little as he looked at Heulfryn. The king just laughed while Atticus took joy in knowing that was the last sound of laughter he was gonna hear after this. "Well that is certainly sweet. Now for you to return the prayers young man-?"

《 Sorry if these are a little short and choppy - I got carried away playing pokémon lol 》
Nerys watched the scene playing out in the middle of the floor with as much interest as anyone for a moment. This certainly hadn't been what she was expecting, though it seemed to be working remarkably effectively. It was as if everyone in attendance from Rechisan had to be in attendance for whatever was about to go on, and all the Noridians were curious as to see what exactly was about to happen. Nerys had to wonder though if they were as interested in Rechisan’s cultural ceremonies as they were in gossip, which the pair of males currently locked in an embrace were certainly stirring up. She chuckled, shaking her head slightly as she slipped away from the crowd. As entertaining as this was, she had more important things to get to.
Nerys made it up the stairs and down the hall with remarkably little resistance. Rechisan really ought to be more mindful of their customs, if it allowed thieves such easy access to their goods while they were praying or whatever it was exactly they were doing. Perhaps that made her actions some kind of blasphemous. Nerys didn't particularly care. She'd probably done a good many things that'd be considered blasphemous in her lifetime so far. She stiffened at the sight of a figure in the shadows, hands reaching for the weapons she'd hidden carefully. She only relaxed when she realized it was just Rei. “All clear?” Nerys asked in confirmation. “Let's get going, then.”
--
The blessing, thankfully, seemed pretty tame compared to a lot of Rechisan customs. So far. Heulfryn was complacent, allowing Eius to carry on without complaint. Even as the boy was soon much closer than Heulfryn would like. Inches away, at most, their foreheads touching. Eius was overwhelming at this distance, his scent overpowering to his nostrils. The scent was the same as how he'd picked it up a few nights ago in the alley, that same trace of something Heulfryn wasn't entirely sure of, now partially hidden under some different kind of soap, or cologne maybe. His breath brushed Heulfryn’s skin as he spoke, tickling his cheek. He had nowhere to look but right back at Eius, into eyes currently blue, although he could see past to the hazel in his mind. He had to look up just a fraction - Eius was slightly taller than he was, he realized. His voice, in decent but obviously classroom Rechisan rolling into his ears. Too close , he thought.
But he was playing along, despite what his instincts were screaming at him to do. Heulfryn didn't act in half measures; he was all in.
He let his fingers skim Eius’s jaws as his hands found their way to the back of his currently blond head, just the way he was doing to him. He brushed his fingers through the hair at the nape of his neck as they settled. He cast a quick glance at the King of Rechisan as he was addressed, painting his cheeks with a splash of red. “It's Anto, your Majesty,” He replied ‘shyly’. “Of course, your Majesty.” His eyes lifted back to Eius’s before he started in perfect, rolling Rechisan. Like Eius before him, he prayed to the gods of love and peace, continuing on to the goddess of fortune and, finally, the god of celebration and fulfillment (a much celebrated god in Rechisan, as one might imagine). The god of celebration who represented, among other things, romantic intimacy. Something wicked flickered in Heulfryn’s eyes, impossible for anyone but Eius to see. Oh, I can do far worse than kill you, boy.
--
Eliza shook her head at Remus’s laughter, smiling nonetheless. It was a rather creative kind of distracting. And much less chaotic than some of the plans someone she knew usually came up with when they needed a distraction. Besides, she'd heard about Heulfryn’s magic but… it was impressive. If she hadn't known what she was actually looking at, she wouldn't even have noticed that.
Will, meanwhile, was plenty carried away in his own romantic pursuits. Many of the people dancing had left to watch the ceremony, but he was fine with watching from where he was. Which was, of course, the dance floor. He smiled down at Sybil, who he kept a polite and proprietary distance from, given their public location. Which was probably a good thing to keep in mind, because if they were alone he probably would be kissing her right now. Over the past few days there had been plenty of that, that was for sure. Work, of course, had kept them both busy, but that hadn't stopped him from ‘taking a walk to get some fresh air’ and ending up a Sybil’s table. Repeatedly. He was perhaps more than a little infatuated. But this was all so new and exciting… Although he still hadn't formally asked to court her. He wasn't entirely sure how one was supposed to do that, although he was sure that kissing generally came after a couple was courting. Not that their kind usually followed that sort of social code but… it seemed as though they'd done everything backwards.
Will shook his head, smiling. “You remember the night we first spoke? We danced like this. Although I think you were a lot less eager. “ He chuckled softly. “I think about that night a lot, what might’ve happened if I'd never helped you guys - it was for Eliza, but still… You fascinated me. I'm very glad for the way things have turned out, Sybil Rye. I think-” He felt like something was caught in his throat. He cleared it, continued. “I think being thrown out from the Wolves was the best thing that could've happened to me, for where it's brought me.”

[ Lol it's cool, everyone is playing pokemon. Even my siblings haha ]
Rei looked up at the sound of a certain female's voice, shifting her weight in the darkness before nodding to confirm that it was indeed clear for them to go. Well as far as physical guards that is, who knows about the magical kind. "We still need to be careful. Rechisan nobles like to keep their valuable under magical seals that require a bit of tinkering in order to get off" She said, trying to dig up everything she knew about breaking a magical lock. Well she may not be Heulfryn, or any other magical being, but she did know how to break something like that. "Not to mention there's no hits and misses with these. Frankly I want to keep my hand" She muttered as she looked down at her feet, the soft clicking of the heels driving her nuts. She scowled, stopping for a minute to unstrap the shoes from her feet, not giving a damn about how it would look weird. They were here to steal and leave, not win a fashion show. Once her bare feet hit the cold floor she gripped the shoes in one hand while walking silently along the ground. Light steps, on the balls of her feet while keeping her weight from crashing down. Rei only glanced back a few times at Nerys, not exactly the best conversation starter...even after a while of knowing her.
Rei stopped beside a door, trying the lock to test if it was indeed locked. The handle turned with ease but that didn't mean she trusted what was on the other side. Rei waited a heartbeat before opening the door all the way, wishing she had the comfort of seeing through objects. She took a glance around the room, large bed with extra pillows, clothes stuffed inside a wardrobe and a box set on the dresser. "What are we grabbing exactly? Are we just getting whatever we can snatch up?" Rei whispered as she hesitantly moved toward the box, her palms growing sweaty as she looked at the thing. She could tell it was laced with a magical seal, her skin prickled and the air was filled with added tension. How could something so small be wrapped up in so much seals and chants. Rei let out a sigh, reaching up to yank the clip from her hair - instantly regretting it when a few strands were plucked from her scalp.
-
Sybil was blushing like a tomato at the end of his little speech, rolling her eyes playfully before looking back up at him. "Have you been reading those sappy romance novels again?" She teased with a soft voice, like someone could hear their conversation. "But I suppose you are right...I didn't want to dance with you then. Because you know...I really didn't like you then with those...things. And dancing itself" She said, her brows scrunching together for a moment. That and dancing was just.....yuck. She let a smile grace her face again after a moment, tipping her head slightly so a few curls came to rest against her cheek and forehead. She had to admit, it made her all warm and gushy inside whenever he spoke like that, his words could just melt her into nothing. A big puddle of Sybil trying to reform herself only to melt again. That's what she's been feeling like as of late, considering every time she saw Will now it ended up in light teasing and of course- kissing. The kind that made her brain shut down and also the kind to keep her from barking at him some insult after he had said something stupid. "Well Sir Will Gansey, I think the Crows earned themselves a essential piece to their board....a very bright, handsome man. I'm happy you came to the Crows. That you chose to be fascinated with me...you certainly captured my attention" She whispered.
She didn't even realize that she was staring up at Will like some doe until she realized the conversation fell a bit quiet. She cleared her throat and felt a warm blush cross her face. She ducked her head slightly, like how she normally did when saying that gushy stuff, something she would never get over from now on. It was like her own silly little quirk that has developed due to Will being his own gushy self. "I would kiss you but...but there are people watching and I'm...kissing-shy. Yeah, that's it. Kissing-shy"
Remus couldn't help it as the chuckles came and went, raising his eyebrows to the prayers he heard fall from those boys mouths. It was odd, really. A distraction was something to keep others allured but....it was different. Remus noted some things here and there and well he couldn't help but make a few guesses that could or could not happen. Either way, he lifted an eyebrow and grinned. Intriguing...and the biggest illusion hasn't even been revealed yet to the fae
-
Oh this was...something new. Something Atticus wasn't use to indeed. He forced himself to not shift away, forcing himself to not scowl at Heulfryn for praying to that god. Atticus could understand Rechisan perfectly, he was tutored since he was able to speak. Hell, Atticus knew a lot of languages it was required for the king to know such things. So listening to Heulfryn's prayer, made his skin visibly brighten to a light blush. No tricks involved at all for that. Atticus couldn't smell that scents that Heulfryn could but he was aware of how close this man was to him. He didn't narrow his eyes, or huff and turn away. The glint in Heulfryn's eyes made his skin prickle slightly, and the feel of his fingers on Atticus's jaw made it ten times worse. He let out a breathe he didn't realize he was holding, Heulfryn's own words tickling Atticus's cheeks and- oh gods. When the fae was done, the room was silent for a few heartbeats as required before soft clapping followed. Atticus let his smile split his face again as he reached up to grasp both sides of Heulfryn's face like he was so happy then pulling away when the King spoke once more. "And with those prayers, I send my blessings on Atlas and Anto of Noridi and Rechisan...let their love last another century and forever more. Into the great beyond where we meet death, let it thrive and their souls be bounded together. As soul mates should be. For we do not choose our soul mates, the gods choose for us." The king said, a smile cracking his face when he looked towards his own queen who was watching from her seat.
The crowd cheered and clapped, the king clapping with as he watched for a long time as if expecting something. Some- oh. Oh hells no. Atticus gave a nervous laughter as he noticed the same look all around, shrugging his shoulders. "Sorry um...I know we are suppose to....but he's a bit shy about our affection. Well I am too but it's uh..." He began, looking at the king for a moment like he was assessing something before letting out a sigh. "It wouldn't hurt for something small" He said, before looking at Heulfryn and just leaning over to just barely brush Heulfryn's cheek, not exactly happy about it but that was what these people expected. "I like to keep the serious gooy stuff for home" He said, his words brushing Heulfryn's cheek before he pulled away, letting a cheeky grin come to his face.
I might die but at least I die with like...some dignity.

《 Sorry for the delay. Yeah no I got the new pokémon game and wow. Nostalgia trip. I grew up on pokémon games and I got this one and it was just… wow has it changed a lot since I was a kid. So yeah I’ve been like obsessively playing pokémon cx how are you? 》
Magical locks. Of course. Had Nerys seen them before? Yes, if course. Solving them? Admittedly not her strong suit. She had an unfortunate lack of patience, especially when it came to disarming a magical safeguard invisible to the plain eye. “Don't need to tell me twice,” She muttered, remembering a particular instance where she may have lit her hair on fire. Part of the reason her hair fell only to her shoulders - it had taken a good year to reach this length after that incident, after which she'd cropped it all off instead of bothering with the un-singed parts. She liked her hair as it was now - especially after spending so long styling it for this evening. She raised a (groomed, for said evening) brow. “I don't suppose you're some sort of enchanted-lock expert…?” That would be rather useful, particularly when they got around to the real job - none of them really knew what to expect once they got to the palace, after all.
As to what they were stealing tonight… Nerys had thought about this a good deal. They good easily go the safe route, and take a few of the less valuable pieces and potentially get away without any notice at all. But what did they prove by going the safe way? Their overall mission was to assassinate the Royal Family. There was no more high profile crime to commit. So they had to do something risky tonight. Not stupid, but risky. “We'll take some odds and ends that won't be too missed; easy sells,” Nerys replied. “And then we take some of the big pieces. To show Dante.” She eyed the box in Rei’s hands, could somehow feel the power rippling off of it. She sucked in a breath. “Alright; let's get cracking - just… Don't lose any hands, please.”
--
Heulfryn stiffened at the last part of the King's little speech. Soulmates. Yet another sign of the mark his people had left on human culture, centuries after they'd drawn apart. The very concept… to the Fae, a mating bond was sacred, cherished, stronger than any other kind of relationship. One who found their mate was very lucky indeed, for it was a chance had by very few, especially now. Heulfryn had come to the conclusion long ago he was not one of those few. Love, stability, a family… those were not the things he searched for in life. But these humans… humans didn't have mates. There was no such thing. Of course there had been Fae who claimed a human to be their mate, but it was through and through a magical custom. It had to do with the magical nature of their very biology. The idea of humans having soulmates was a mockery, in Heulfryn’s opinion.
And then came the inevitable. Of course. They couldn't expect to let them go without showing some form of physical affection. The audience wanted a kiss, obviously. He looked over at Eius, the boy already looking for a way out, claiming shyness to public affection. He was pretty believable. Maybe they could get out of this without needing to make things more uncomfortable than they had. His eyes skimmed the crowd. Already people were turning away, getting drawn back in on their own conversations. Losing interest. It was only a matter of time before the guards followed suit, went back to their posts. Their posts where Nerys and Rei were currently breaking in. They had to keep them down here.
Luckily, if there was one thing Heulfryn was good at, it was putting on a show.
Eius leaned in, brushing the faintest touch of his lip to Heulfryn’s cheek. He made himself look down, bite his lip, blushing. A small round of clapping came about in praise of this, but they were still losing interest. Not enough, Heulfryn thought, cursing himself for what he was about to do. What he had to do. He would think of the money - all that gold that would be his when they finished the job. His eyes lifted to Eius’s face, taking in the cheeky grin on the young man’s face. At least he was handsome. Heulfryn closed this distance between them once more, arms snaking around his shoulders, fingers tangling in hair as he pulled Eius’s face level to his own. He sent a brief thought to whatever gods or saints or anyone who might be listening. And then he crushed his lips against the merchant boy's.
--
Will’s jaw dropped - an exaggerated expression, of course, but the sentiment was true. “Sappy romance novels-” he echoed, seemingly in disbelief. “Sybil Rye! I don't think we can speak anymore. Those are classics . Tell me you've read them?” He kept going. “Pride and Pegasus, Wulver of the Heights, Jane Erinyes…?” Will looked positively affronted - he was joking, mostly, of course. He was a sucker for classics, yes. But he wouldn't be offended if Sybil hadn't read them, not at all.
He was the one to feel as though he were melting into a puddle of happiness as she spoke, his lips breaking into a smile without waiting to ask his consent. He knew he could easily pass it off jokingly, make some sort of statement pointing out that she thought he was handsome or bright. But he didn't want to discount her words, didn't feel he had to. He stared down at her as she looked up at him, content - as cheesy as it may sound - just to look at her. His gaze wandered her face, from gray eyes to… to…? Her freckles were gone. Where had her freckles gone. It took him longer than it should have to realize she was wearing make-up (Sybil Rye was wearing make-up ?) but thankfully she was still staring up at him by the time he'd silently worked that little mystery out.
He blinked as she finally spoke, then smiled. “Whatever makes you comfortable, dear,” he told her with a soft chuckle, immediately questioning whether the term of endearment was alright. It had just sort of rolled off his tongue. He hurried along, hoping she wouldn't pay it much notice. “Anyway, it's perfectly alright, to be kissing-shy, in fact -” He broke off, choking slightly on his words as he beheld the update in the scene taking place over by the Royals. “Speaking of kissing… Some of us certainly aren't shy…”

[ S'alright~ The new pokemon game is wayyyyy different then the other games. Or from what my sister says it is. I haven't played it but I hear there are some changes that are super different and odd. But I've been good, I finally get to see Fantastic Beasts tomorrow ( Hopefully ) You? ]
"What are y-" Were the words that tumbled from Atticus's mouth when Heulfryn wrapped his arms around his shoulders, alarms going off in Atticus's brain at that point. Then they turned into a screaming siren when the fae connected his mouth to the princes, thus earning back the attention they were beginning to loose. The king clapped and people cheered, laughing too cause Atticus's reaction was probably priceless. In order to keep himself from looking too shocked, Atticus did the only thing he knew how to and acted like he was enjoying it. He let his hands rest on Heulfryn's waist as they kissed, Atticus trying to connect the dots to what was important to keep himself from breaking away and running about. His brain was short circuiting and his cheeks were probably so red they could be seen in a dark room. Atticus has kissed girls plenty of times, he knew how to react to those and usually it was pleasant reactions but this? This was...different. He had never kissed a man before, his father had told him of it wasn't abnormal. But Atticus...Atticus never thought he would ever do that before. And the oddest part was....
Not a single thought in his brain told him this was bad. A small whisper said Hey this is alright. Which was not what Atticus needed right now. A little spark in his stomach stirred and some part of him reacted...oddly. Not bad but it was a different feeling that he didn't know how to react to. He almost let his eyes droop down to close but after a good amount of time has passed he broke the kiss off, trying not to look too ****zy. What in seven hells happened? He thought to himself, not realizing his fingers had dug into Heulfryn's suit jacket until his knuckles were white. Atticus released Heulfryn's suit jacket, his breathing a little uneven as he forced a smile on his face. The king was laughing like this was the best thing in the world, clapping his hand on his knee. "Oh he's shy alright my boy" The king said, snapping his fingers for the music to keep on playing. "I think you two will be forever a happy couple with how you handle things" He continued while Atticus stared at Heulfryn kind of dumbfound before looking away. "Um yes sir I think so, very much so" He said, his voice a bit shaky as he tried to spit out words.
The king laughed again, smiling at them before gesturing to the dance floor. "Go! Dance and celebrate! I must attend back to my table. I am expecting a visitor from the royal family of Kevior, hopefully. I bid you ado" The king of Rechisan said with a little bow. Atticus returned the little bow, trying to piece together his brain again. He didn't hear the howling laughter from Remus but could feel the stare burning into his back, a icy stare expecting him to keep going even when met with such a twist of events. "That was a good distraction, but now I need you to make Anto and Atlas vanish and make me look like the prince of Kevior" He whispered, going out on a stretch with this but that was what Atticus needed. He needed to feel like Atticus Eius Valhalla, and not just Eius. Not to mention having a royal appear would turn the eyes of everyone once more. "Do it quickly, doesn't require much work. Just make the clothes a little flashy and make the eyes brighter." He went on, turning the two around from the King presence to melt back into the crowd.
I just need to melt away He thought to himself. "If I am to look like the prince they will be too distracted with welcoming a royal and such to be bothered with their small things" He continued, the only thing he knew how to do. He dared to look at Heulfryn, hoping his current look was melting away to look like a prince. If he were able to vanish for a while to be by himself, Atticus would probably be holed up in some room pacing a track in the rug.

Rei bit her bottom lip at the feel of the box, almost slamming it back onto the desk and running away. If there is one thing that Rei fears, is magic. You think she just got over her fear of magicals and magic things because of her new environment? She was able to subdue the fear but she was still frightened of it. She was frightened of Heulfryn to the point where she was thinking of every which way to kill him, she feared things with magic on them for how they made her feel. Like lightning was being pushed into her veins, where her skin was standing on and her blood was being frozen. She set the box back down on the dresser gently and let her fingers tap against the lid. She refused the flow of the magic at first, she could feel it triyng to crawl into her skin and soak to her bones but she rejected it at first, at first just trying to flip the flimsy lock only to be met with a quick shot of pain up her left arm. She let out a low, painful growl as the magic reacted to her rejection. "It's a Usun'ta magic seal...I can handle it just give me a quick minute" She said after a heartbeat of catching her breath.
She was trained how to break these seals, no matter how much she hated the key for them. But thankfully, this kind of magical seal was easy to break....just hard for her. Rei glanced at her left arm that she felt the pain in and could see the reaction it had. Red, swollen lines were crossed down her arm like some beast had scratched her but not hard enough to where it drew blood...yet. Rei readjusted and tried once more, gripping both sides of the box now and feeling the magic restart. She let it flow into her arms, brightening her blood for a moment to where it seemed like she had green veins. The sight startled her at first but when she slowly began to open the box she let out a sigh of relief when it eased open. "I have to keep my hands on the box in order to keep the seal from causing another reaction so grab something and then look for....look for the Queen's crown." She said, her eyes darting about again. "She left the really shiny one at home but this one should be for travel....it should make Dante happy if we bring that back"

Sybil let out a girlish laugh at Will, her smile growing once more as she shook her head, reaching up to grab onto his lapels and tug on. "I have but come on, the romance is so cheesy and the characters don't exactly ring as unique. And are we just going to state our full names from now on?" She said, reaching up to poke his cheeks and then pinch them. "Sybil Rye oh my gosh, blah blah Sybil Rye" She teased with her best Will impression, making her voice low and pompous sounding. "Will Gansey la la la, Will Gansey I mean come on. So formal" She released his cheeks, her own impression was just her own normal voice but a little loopy like she was dizzy. It did sound a bit formal and Sybil wasn't one to be formal, she liked being relaxed and act crazy when needed to. Maybe it was because they weren't officially courting but...well did she have to wait on him to ask or could she? Cause she wouldn't mind breaking out on the ground to ask him. But that could hurt his wittle manly pride. Or not? Who knew.
"I wouldn't mind if you called me other nicknames though, sweety" She said, trying to be cheesy herself or whatever romantic gunk she had in her head. She was trying to be flirty with Will whenever she could to balance out the need to insult him or trip him down the stairs. Even though they have been, well again not officially courting, she still felt like something was blocking them from. Or something was blocking her into letting herself be totally relaxed around him, and not having to guard herself 24/7. So she's been trying to think what would flirting be like to Will, but every time she tried either he would laugh or it would turn out bad. "Hm?" She hummed when he turned his attention away from her, a little part of her wanted to tell him to look at her. That she wanted to keep those green eyes on her face, so she could continue making her map of his face. But when her eyes skipped over to where the fae and the little pretty boy were she nearly spat out into laughter at the sight. In fact she let out a sudden spout of snickering and all lady like form was gone. She held onto Will's jacket as she began to giggle, turning away after a moment to gather herself.
"I thought tonight was gonna be interesting" She breathed out, casting another look over to see the two breaking apart, Eius's face so red it could send alarms to the next kingdom. "I bet that's the only excitement we're gonna see then..." She muttered disappointingly as people came back to the dance floor, drawing closer to Will when people began brushing past her.

《 I kinda love the new game, weirdness aside. Fantastic Beasts <3 Newt is the most awkward, adorable little Puff I’ve ever seen. & sorry ‘bout only writing one part tonight I’m bad I know I got the sudden urge to make cookies at like 9 o’clock so yeah I did. They’re really good though so worth it. 》
Heulfryn’s first thought during that damned kiss was that he was going to kill Eius for his stupid reaction to things. Things being the kiss, of course. This had all been his idea after all. They needed to be able to sell it. Most couples that had been together ten years were not so shy as to not be able to exchange a quick kiss in public, and while kissing Eius was about the last thing Heulfryn wanted to do, he was committed to the cause.
His second thought was that Eius was perhaps not as bad a kisser as he'd expected.
This was the last thought that went through his head for a good moment. Everything was mindless sensation; a shock in his gut and a prickling awareness of hands gripping his hips and heat against his lips. It was… not at all unpleasant. Heulfryn had no issues with being with men, rather, he had more trouble with women honestly. One who had lived as long as he had a habit of having tried most things, though Heulfryn wasn't particularly a romantic. He'd had enough experience in kissing, anyway, that the cost of giving them had become cheap. He found himself wondering, distantly, how many people Eius had kissed, because it certainly seemed like he had his own fair share of experience. Oh, gods be damned, you are not enjoying this.
The present came back abruptly as the pair of them broke apart. Heulfryn eyes were locked on Eius, and he became quickly aware that his own glamour had slipped slightly, a ring of gold glowing bright around his false hazel eyes. He slammed it back into place before anyone looked at him a little too closely, reinforcing the rest of his cover as he focused on recovering his breath, which was as unsteady as he could detect Eius’s to be. No. He looked away, doing his best to close off his senses in the young man's direction, focusing instead on the king, the guards, reaching out to see if he could detect the girls upstairs.
Heulfryn let Eius walk him away, already having recovered a disinterested sort of nonchalance. Because as far as he was concerned, he wasn't interested. No little kiss was going to change that, change the fact that Eius was a naïve little merchant boy who'd run off to tangle with Noridi’s Underground, thinking it would greet him with open arms. At his request, Heulfryn merely scowled. “Couldn't you just lead with that plan?” He growled, his voice once again fallen into the low, sandpaper rasp. If he weren't preoccupied with his own usual grumpiness, he might’ve quentionrd the boy further, asked what would happen if any of the real Royals showed up and realized he was an impostor, or the Rechisan party met the Royals of Kevior at a later date. But instead he just complied, letting both of their glamours drop - his own only to the point he'd had it before, where he kept his own features but appeared human - and repainted Eius’s. Heulfryn had never seen the Prince of Kevior up close, but the guards had been so kind as to describe him the other day. Eius, luckily for him, already resembled the description quite thoroughly - all he needed to do was alter his clothes, making them as regal as possible while remaining pink, and enhance his features a little. Heulfryn was under the impression the Prince was a very strapping young man. Too bad looks didn't speak for character.

[ Newt is a the sweetest cinnamon roll lol And it's fine , cookies are a very good reason, they are just the reason ]
"Excuse me, but I went for the first choice that would grab the crowds attention. Besides...." Atticus said, daring a glance back at the man as his glamour switched his clothing, "You seemed to enjoy a small part of it" He continued with hesitation, moving away, rolling his shoulders back slightly as he marched further into the crowd inching away from Heulfryn. Trying to put some space between the man that had kissed him and this dumb job....making him feel like this and all that jazz. This different buzz in his stomach he got when he kissed a girl he really li....nope. Not gonna finish that thought. He just breathed in and then breathed out, straightened his back a bit and circled back towards the kings table with practiced steps. He let a smile split his face as he got closer, people taking notice at once when he wasn't in the thickest of the crowd any longer. "King Ca'mala! I hope I'm not to late" Atticus said, thusly announcing his presence to the whole room as he grew near. "I was caught off guard with the time, it slipped between my hands and before I know it scrambling to get out here" Atticus chuckled, the King standing at once when catching sight of Atticus. "Prince Atticus! No need to worry my boy, I wasn't keeping my expectations high. I thought you might be late, but I am happy you are here" The king said, once more rising from his seat at his table to meet Atticus with a firm handshake. "Well I have to say it was kind of hard getting here. We're writing up new prints for new roads, and also confirming some trade routes with Zama Oon and Tafla." Atticus went on to say, actually saying the all good truth in the matter. The project was secret of course so it was safe to use as a false lie. Lying about a lie.
"I see, I see. Well I wish to welcome you now! You missed the excitement moments ago, I gave blessing to this lovely couple. Together for 10 years, and yet it looked like fresh love still" The King went on, slipping an arm around Atticus and chuckling. Atticus gave a nervous laugh, fighting off the blush threatening to burn his cheeks. "Yes well...I'll have to be quicker." He said, giving a tiny pout like he was disappointed. If only. The king didn't waste a beat though to announce the prince was here. "Everyone! I'm sure you know this young man very well. So please let's welcome Prince Atticus E. Valhalla!" The King said with the same booming voice as Atticus's father. Seemed to be a trade mark with kings now a days. The room went into a loud applause, he could see Noridians in the audience cheer softly for their prince of course. Atticus smiled and bowed slightly to the crowd. "Please it's nothing to make a big fuss about. Tonight is about you two. The birth of a soon to be prince- or princess- who I hope to share the pleasure of meeting one day- as King of Kevior!" Atticus said, trying to match that level of booming voice. Sure he didn't have the depth but his voice could fill a room, so he didn't have to try too hard. In fact this was a little too easy, to slip back into his roll as actual prince.
"Such kind words from the future King. I'm sure your father is proud...speaking of your father will he be joining us?" King Ca'mala asked, craning his neck a bit to see if he could spot his fellow King at the doors. Atticus cringed slightly, wondering if he should just lie or lie about a lie....uh. "Sadly my father is at home. He's been working so much that he wanted to spend some time with Mira and my mother. I hope that's alright-" Atticus began, his eyes darting to the stairs as two of the guards began to climb up those marble steps. Panic darted through his body, the only thought coming to mind was how Rei was still up there and yet a small voice whispered concerns about Nerys. "Butttttt let me toast to the soon to be King or Queen! Including the guards! Everyone should have a cup, everyone." Atticus said with rushed words, turning around to grab two glasses and slip one into the King's hand while the other rested in Atticus's. Atticus raised the glass, watching as the guards glanced towards each other cautiously before coming back to grab a glass. Now it was speech time. Lovely
"To the newest member of the Rechisan family. Let the gods of the earth's divine protect and guide the babe along a chosen path, the gods of the West End Royals seek to send blessings to the gods of Mafriti. Let the road be easy, and full of life. Let love meet them when the time is right no matter the tumble of events." Atticus began, the silence meeting his ears sent goosebumps down his skin and usually he looked for a familiar face in the crowd to calm his nerves. And just his luck he seemed to find Heulfryn the moment he went a searching. That only resulted in a light blush dusting his face again as he went on. "And...by the words of gods, this baby will begin a new era. As I will. As all rulers will." Atticus went on, tipping his head back as he looked at the crowd staring back at him. "Blessed by many, A'la gima Atticus Unsha Eiuon Valahala." Atticus slipped into old Rechisan, remembering how the speeches usually end with these people. Long and full of old language. And usually the speech giver gives a blessing including his full name.

《 eep I fell asleep working on a reply last night. I’ll just post what I have done, but I’ve started the rest so I should finish that tonight hopefully. Newt is definitely the sweetest cinnamon roll. omg when he did that magical-rhino mating dance thing. I died. 》
Heulfryn’s deadpan stare in response to Eius’s comment was enough to make anyone uncomfortable. “Don't flatter yourself, mortal,” he quipped. “A kiss is a kiss.” Nothing more. While exceedingly not romantic, Heulfryn knew this to be somewhat true. The feeling of pleasure during a kiss had to do with chemicals released in the brain, which essentially runs on overdrive. So even if he had found some enjoyment in that moment, it easily amounted to nothing. What concerned him was his own slip of control, letting his glamour slide slightly. That was an amateur’s mistake, one he'd long since learned to prevent. Perhaps this city was making him soft. He'd spared the girl from the arena, had gone out of his way afterward to ensure her safety. Maybe this job really was what he needed. Good-for-nothing crewmates aside.
He turned away as Eius strode back towards the dais, not particularly interested in watching him play Prince. He hoped he wouldn't mess anything up - the Prince was a high-profile figure, and it was all of them that were at stake if Eius gave himself away. He wasn't a horrible actor, apparently, because he played Prince Atticus very convincingly. Probably a side effect of growing up among the rich and wealthy. They were all the same, weren't they.
Heulfryn had to wonder, however, how the Noridians in the room didn't know they weren't looking at their Prince. The kind that could come to parties like this one were usually familiar with the Royals. Odd. His eyes roamed the crowd, searching for any indication of this on the party-goers faces. But they all seemed entirely in belief that their future King of Kevior was in the room with them. His eyes lifted to the false Atticus Valhalla, mildly surprised to find the “Prince’s” hazel eyes already fixed on him.
He scowled, averting his eyes after a moment, checking instead on the guards, who were once again momentarily occupied with Eius’s cheers. But not for long. Most of them were clearly glad for the distraction, all for a break from their monotonous guard shift. But others were more responsible, already itching to get back to their posts, lest something by chance happen the moment they're away. Which was, of course, exactly what was happening. He hoped Nerys and Rei would hurry along.

[ Okie~ Sleep is a dangerous thing but we loves it ] [ Him and Jacob were my favorites throughout the whole movie. I died seven times during that scene and then with Jacob being chased ]
Atticus had to think fast here, he had to keep a whole room entertained while two girls were taking their sweet time getting some jewelry. Atticus didn't let his smile drop though, reaching back into the deepest corners of his brain about Rechisan culture and normal customs. The king nodded, approving as he raised his glass to finish this toast/blessing and would ultimately dismiss his guards. Not what Atticus needed right now, not what he wanted. "But but but" Atticus went on, gesturing to the guards here. "I hear that Rechisan has the most noble, the strongest, the bravest warriors in the land. And they are only picked when they complete a hard trial of some sorts." He went on, climbing down from beside the king to where most of the guards were clustered. "My father didn't send any of his guards at all, not even my captain. He said that 'Rechisan guards will protect you well enough, there is no fault in them'" Atticus said in his best King of Kevior impression. The guards seemed to smile at that, some having a pride like Atticus expected. If Atticus knew anything about guards, they liked to talk about how tough they were compared to the rest of them. At least the palace guards were like that, talking about how they slayed this and killed this thing, or fought this big dude here and there. Honestly Atticus always thought it was dumb, but right now he wouldn't mind sitting down and listening to their stories....in full detail....all of them.
"So come on! Everyone gather around, you know how Noridians are. We love stories. Love them, love them, love them" Atticus said as he took a sip from his cup, trying to see truly interested in possible story telling. Noridans gathered behind Atticus, some offering him a small greeting to which he returned with a bright smile. For a split second he thought he was back to just being that...just Atticus and not Eius who everyone thought to be a merchant boy. "Are you sure your highness?" King Ca'mala said from where he stood, a grin on his face like he was watching a young yappy dog. "Of course! You don't have to worry about me. This party is about you and the baby. Celebrate, have fun!" Atticus said, earning a soft cheer from behind. "But I want to know about your guards quests. I keep hearing about them, and all I got back at the palace is a bunch of old pub tales. Gideon especially" Atticus said, mentioning the one guard who seems to tell the same thing over and over again. The king sighed softly and waved his hand. "Fine, but I do wish to at least keep a couple away to safe guard my queen" He said, snapping his fingers for at least 4 guards to come forward.
"Yes, of course. Of course! Haha" Atticus said and shrugged, looking back to the rest of the guards, some lingering on the steps to the next floor. "I must have said of course a dozen times by now. It never gets old. Anyway, men, why not tell me about your tales. Don't be shy. Halua mei" Atticus said, trying to anchor their attention, while a small group of listeners gathered behind the prince. A small girl clutched to the princes leg, making Atticus grin as he looked down at her. To be honest, he wished he could be at home with Mira. Or anywhere else but here. He never intended to get mixed up in this job, he never thought of this as some game. Atticus bent down and tucked a stray strand of hair behind the girls ear, only looking back up when one of the guards actually began to speak. Atticus laughed when others laughed, and asked a lot of dumb questions about this and that. The guards eventually lightened up, opening up more as time went on. Atticus for a moment even forgot this was for some job, he was just enjoying what he was hearing. Fun stories that the royal guards never talk about doing, climbing the tallest mountain, stealing from a gods temple, bringing back the head of the largest mountain boar. It was fascinating.
He ignored Heulfryn, he ignored Remus, he ignored just about everything. He wasn't worried about Rei and Nerys at the moment, he knew Rei would be able to handle the scene upstairs. Make it seem like the thief came from the window instead of downstairs, eliminating the fact that the diversion was in fact a diversion. The last thing Kevior needs is having their strongest ally think they had this planned from the get go. And Atticus put his country first before anything, so if things went south he wouldn't wait a heartbeat to order a arrest. These people would find out eventually who he is, and frankly it's all he thought about. Would he have to confront them at the palace gates, order a arrest before the attack? Whatever the outcome was, he wasn't going to go as far as letting them touch his family. What happened then was a mistake, a mistake that could have been avoided. His father had a reason, a reason to why they let Lyriad fall. And Atticus didn't care if some Lyriad girl hated that.

《 Oh dear, this reply didn’t go particularly as planned. But I guess there had to be something holding them up cx Haha Jacob was great too 》
Nerys wasn't particularly familiar with the proper names for magical seals or their effects. Among pirates, they had much less fancy names which probably didn't actually properly classify them. Pirates had a knack for naming things a), after themselves or their achievements (most of them were alarmingly egotistical), , for their effects, or c), after what was lying around at the time. To her, there were Ducochafs and Biters and Rumheads and Corks, but Usun’ta didn't mean much of anything. It became clear enough, however, when she saw the streaks of green running up Rei’s arms. That's a Frathasai all right. Otherwise known as a Biter. Then again, a good portion of magical seals could be considered Biters to the general pirate populace given that it encompassed anything that could cause you physical harm. Frathasai was a little more particular in that it translated to stab wound , in the same way that being stabbed isn't as dangerous until the knife gets pulled out. A pleasant lot, pirates are.
Nerys nodded at Rei’s instruction, knowing better than to mess around with magical locks. She might’ve questioned the orders a little more otherwise, given that she was supposedly the leader here, but they were pressed for time and safety. She reached into the box, moving carefully so as not to accidentally trigger any further security measures. It wasn't unheard of to weave in extra safeguards inside a safe, but so far they seemed to have gotten lucky. Nerys withdrew a couple rings, a thin bracelet of jewels, ruby hairpins - nothing too big or flashy that would grab too much attention. Little things were much easier to smuggle out, which was always a plus. As much as she liked the dress she was wearing, there weren't many places to tuck away items she wanted to be discreet about.
When she had what she wanted, Nerys went for the crown. She was very thankful the Queen hadn't opted to wear it tonight for the party. She rifled around in the box for a bit, then shook her head. “Not in here,” She muttered, eyes scanning the room. Her eyes landed on a case set haphazardly on a little table off to one side. It was set in such a way it didn't look like decoration. She crossed over to it, running a hand over its surface cautiously, searching for any signs of seals, finding nothing. Carefully, she lifted off the top of the box, revealing… the Queen’s crown. Lovely and exotic looking. Nerys let out a quiet sound of triumph, reaching to take it in her own thieving fingers.
She realized her mistake the second her fingers made contact, and she felt a jolt of magic run through her, travelling like an electric current. There was no way it could've been that easy, and she should have known it. She should have known at least to check, always check for the invisible seals. A mistake like this could cost her a hand.
This one, however, was decidedly different. Nerys blinked several times, casting a look around the room, as if looking for something to take hold of as the magic dug in its claws. Too little, too late. And then a giggle escaped her lips, strained, as though she was trying to hold it back. The strangled laugh sound was apparently very funny, because this was followed by a round of snickers. Nerys scrunched up her face, looking around the room again. “Why is it so dark in here?” She asked no one in particular. Her eyes landed on Rei, the glowing green marking her veins, and squinted in consideration. “Da Nyv! You should probably see a medygg about that.” Nerys’s words were a little jumbled, her… addled mind mixing up Lyrian and Kevior words. She tripped over her own feet as she tried to cross over to Rei, righting herself but almost dropping the crown in the process. She giggled at her clumsiness, settling the crown on top of her head. “Oops. There, all better!”

[ they got trouble brewin' ] [ Jacob I connected with, like a muggle in a wizard world. i'm not taking that nomaj mumbo jumbo ]
Rei let Nerys take was she could from the box before closing it and setting it down so fast that a little bit of the magic seal sparked her again but thankfully not as bad. Just a little tingle in her fingertips. Rei rubbed her hands as she glanced around, her hand coming up to thread through her hair like normal only to stop short when remembering that her hair was still stuck with pins and spray. "I don't think the crown will be sitting around in some box" Rei said, taking a glance around the almost empty room. Of course the crown wouldn't be stuck in some paper box waiting for the queen to just up and grab it. If anything, the crown would be locked by the strongest of seals or something that would take a while to ware off. Rei had no idea though, that Nerys would find the crown and just up and grab it like it was some piece of candy. If she did know that, she would have spun around and smacked the girl right across the face. Of course that never happened, because by the time Rei did turn around, Nerys was already clutching the crown. "Nerys?" Rei said cautiously, raising an eyebrow when the fit of snickers left the girls mouth. "So much for this being easy" Rei added when the girl began to speak. Obviously, some kind of....spell was on the crown. A spell that made people stupid or something? Who knew. Maybe it would have been better to have Heulfryn up here anyway considering the circumstances.
"We don't have time to fix whatever it is you caused dumbo" Rei muttered as she made her way to Nerys, grabbing the girl by the shoulders and looking her in the eyes. "I need you to fo-cus Nerys. Can you do that? Focus and stay quiet" Rei said slowly like she was talking to a kid, placing one hand on Nerys's cheek to keep her eyes leveled with hers. "And I'll be taking this crown...." She added, glancing at the thing sitting on Nerys's head before taking whatever cloth she could get her hands on and scooping the crown up and into her little purse bag um thing. "And we will be going before you do some other stupid act" Rei said, taking the loopy girls hand and pulling her towards the exit. Rei knew there would be something. She just thought it would be one of the boys that made the dumb mistake. Not Nerys who was in charge of this mission. The girl acted like she had one too many drinks before coming in here. Did Rei not warn her about magic seals? Why would she go grabbing for the queens CROWN without thinking it would be wrapped in some enchantment. She swore on the gods that when Nerys snaps out of whatever spell she's under, Rei was gonna smack her hand with a ruler for being so darn careless. Every moment counted in a mission, and this kind of mission could not afford mistakes. Then again agreeing to this was Rei's first mistake. "Come on" Rei ushered Nerys out of the room without so much as letting the other argue. She looped her arm with Nerys as to keep her stable and not stumbling along the hall way like a loon.
"Hopefully they will think you had too much wine" Rei muttered as she hurried down the hall, completely forgetting her shoes as she came towards the stairs. There she found Atticus as...Atticus?! Rei nearly had a heart attack at the sight of Atticus dressed in fine clothing, laughing and talking to a group of guards surrounded by people like normal. But upon closer inspection, she could spot Heulfryn close by so maybe this was a distraction? Atticus who was pretending to be Eius who was pretending to be....Atticus? It was odd...and how no one could figure out by now that the prince was in fact playing as Eius astonished her...well then again maybe these people have never seen Atticus as Atticus before but whatever. Rei kept Nerys close by as she scanned the crowd, looking for Remus or maybe Sybil or Eliza or even Will ( If she found Will she would find the short blonde ) because with their current leader out of commission then they were kind of stuck with no exit plan. She couldn't climb out of a window by herself like she use to, or just order the guards to stand aside and let her friend pass. She wasn't a captain right now, she was just a girl stealing from another nation. Rei let out a soft sigh before glancing to Nerys again.
"You're gonna be fine....as soon as we get you some witch or wizard" Rei whispered, her mind working as she looked down below to try and figure something out. Get down the stairs without drawing too much attention, while dragging Nerys along with? Hmph. Rei was half tempted to just pick Nerys up and make a run for it...if she had pants on. Rei looked back toward the crowd, her own sapphire eyes meeting with a pair so much more icy. Remus was watching...of course he was. He had been entertained this whole evening while watching the newbies at work trying to work out a simple gig. He was swirling a bit of liquid in his glass while looking toward the top of the stairs where Rei was holding Nerys by the arm in the shadows. A smile played on his lips while a single eyebrow was raised wondering if he should intervene or not. Dante had said that it was up to the leader of the this baby thieves club if they wanted help. So far the distractions were fine, Eius did a fine job in just getting the crowds attention and keeping it on him. He had a personality that could fill a room, and with the added bonus of Heulfryn it only added to the illusion. Although, Heulfryn's twist back there was....unusual. But it worked, and this distraction was good as well. Didn't feel like a distraction more like...Eius was enjoying himself
Either way Remus could only grin and take a sip of his drink while enjoying the show. "I should get the carriage around...it seems we will be leaving...in a grand old fashion" He muttered, taking note of the little crows. Yes, little pirate girls idea was coming around full circle...ish. Either way she had a tiny window. Some of the guards were leaving Atticus and going back to their duties, and a distraction could only last so long. Not to mention it seemed like the party itself was coming down. "Eliza maybe you could gather Will and Sybil? I think our friends here can get out well enough....I hope"

《 Woops, sorry for the slow replies. 》
Nerys pouted as the girl swiped the crown off her head. “Hey! That's mine. I stole that crown. I am a princess you know. Though you can call me Queen. Nerys the Pirate Queen - I rather fancy the sound of that.” Nerys babbled on, already having forgotten about Rei having taken ‘her crown’ apparently. She continued talking merrily as Rei dragged her down the hall. Why was the little redhead so grumpy? Nerys said as much aloud. She certainly didn't feel grumpy. After she'd laid hands on that crown, she'd been overtaken by the most wonderful feeling in the world. She felt like dancing or giving someone a hug, rather than… Why was she actually here again? She couldn't remember. Whatever it was couldn't have been that important. Not as important as… singing? Nerys giggled as she started on a Lyrian sea chanty. The lyrics were rather improper, so it was probably a good thing she'd chosen to sing it in her native tongue, which very few would understand. Unfortunately that didn't save Rei from her very off-key notes.
“I don't really like wine, actually. More of an ale person.” Nerys replied as they reached the main hall. She stared wistfully off at the dance floor, but Rei’s grip held firm.
Heulfryn, meanwhile, was watching Eius from one side, both out of minor curiosity and to keep up his alterations. He could've held such minor ones without having to see, but he had to admit he was a little intrigued at Eius’s ability to hold a crowd. He had the whole group of guards held rapt, not to mention a whole bunch of civilians alongside. And then there was the matter of his seamless portrayal of Atticus Valhalla, Crown Prince of Kevior. The people seemed to believe that was exactly who he was. It was strange and… admittedly impressive. Perhaps Eius wasn't quite as useless as he'd initially thought. Although that still didn't qualify him as useful.
His eyes drifted over to the stairs, almost as if he'd sensed the girls’ return. Their acting wasn't horrible either, he noted, as he saw Nerys stumble slightly, looking as if she were a little tipsy. He subtly made his way over, looking the girls over in assessment. He caught a slight bulge in the pocket of Rei’s clutch, but other than that they were clean. Heulfryn cast a quick ear as to their surroundings, finding no one within earshot. “Successful, I take it?” He asked, mostly in Rei’s direction, since she seemed to be holding the bulk of their findings. He wasn't even sure where Nerys would be able to put things in her dress, considering there wasn't all that much to it. Then again he'd discerned earlier she'd gotten rather creative with her knives, which she must've had at least five of - he'd heard the soft clink of them as she moved.
Nerys stared at him. Heulfryn was still waiting for Rei to answer, but his eyes flickered briefly between the two, wondering what exactly their leader was doing. She smiled at him dopily, and then reached up and poked his cheek. “You have such lovely cheekbones,” she told him, her voice slurred, sweet. Now it was Heulfryn’s turn to stare at Nerys. “They remind me of my knives - I love my knives.” He narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing her for a second. He could practically feel the spell rolling off her in waves.
Heulfryn turned to Rei. “What happened.” Not a question. An order.
Nerys meanwhile had once again gotten distracted - this time by the sight of Eius with all those people. She gripped Rei’s arm tightly. “Sbia! Sbia, ma’en ry Tydefig!” (Look! Look, it's the Prince!) She exclaimed, coming out in Lyrian in her haste. Her free hand went straight for her concealed knives - only to be caught by a firm hand. She looked up. Heulfryn.
“Oes. Iddyn en Eius, oesnac ry Tydefig.” (No, that’s Eius, not the Prince) Heulfryn replied in fluent Lyrian, surprisingly patiently. If she was currently affected by the spell he thought she was, there was nothing more to do than that. It would wear off in good time, and in the meanwhile hostility would only confuse her. Although she had just almost attempted a very public murder. Nerys's eyes widened, either at Heulfryn’s use of Lyrian or at the information. He wasn't entirely sure. Probably the latter, given her following chatter, switching back to Kevior.
“Oh. You two were so cute together earlier. You should have kissed him. Did you kiss him? Either way, you should do it again. You kids are all kinds of pretty together. Haha - I called you kid, but you're older than my great-grandfather, aren't you?...”
On a second thought, Heulfryn wasn't sure he had the patience not to kill her on the spot, consequences be damned.

[ S'alright friend~ ] [ I word barfed all over this cause my headaches spurred sudden muse ]
Rei wanted to slap the goofy grin right off of Nerys face, narrowing her eyes slightly as she began to sing and dope around like her brain vanished. If Heulfryn hadn't come over she certainly would have. Rei didn't care now for keeping up the act of being lady like, all that mattered now was grabbing Atticus and getting out of here. No more party, no more stealing, no more mingling with criminals. She was ready to high tail it out of here and head back to the palace to put in a report and sleep. She let the scowl show across her face as she looked at the girl beside her, narrowing her eyes in the process as she began to explain to Heulfryn what happened. "Our leader here had sticky fingers and went and grabbed a certain object that was trapped under a shell seal. I don't know which one but I don't think it's serious" Rei muttered. And for serious she means not permanent of course. It could either be dusted away with another spell or would ware off in due time, but this group couldn't wait around to test out either of those theories. "Let's just grab the rest of the crows and get out of here" Rei muttered, her eyes flying to Atticus with a secret line of I am going to beat you when we are out of sight message.
Rei nearly had a panic attack though when Nerys began to speak Lyrian so quickly and suddenly moved without a warning in Kevior language. Rei wasn't a expert in Lyrian but she understood 'Look' and 'Prince' well enough to send warning bells through her head. If the fae hadn't grabbed her hand, Rei probably would have resulted in breaking her own cover to tackle Nerys to the ground, or something very body guard-ish. Rei grabbed Nerys by the wrist with a vice grip, scowling slightly at the girl before nodding toward the exit. "Round up the others and get them out of here before dumbo here tries to kill someone else" She whispered to Heulfryn while dragging the girl forward, completely forgetting she was a barefooted short girl stomping through a group of people wearing boots, heels and all those fun pointy type shoes. She had spotted Remus earlier but....she couldn't pick him out now. "You can give match making advice when we are out of he-" Rei began only to feel a sudden sting go up her leg from her foot as someone stepped back right on top of it. She let out a sling of cruses in a variety of tongues including her native one of Yokai. In that moment she pushed backwards with Nerys still in her grip and right into the group of guards surrounding Atticus.
In that moment the circle broke, the attention was snapped from Atticus who has done a pretty good job of keeping the focus on him, to the two girls who have stumbled into the circle. The guards stopped their laughing and some even jolted a bit where they stood as if the two girls were gunning for Atticus. Atticus on the other hand only flinched at the sudden change in the air, he could feel the sweat begin alright. And it was not a good feeling. Rei was a bit speechless this time around, looking up at the guards as they stared back at her. She felt exposed, small....panicked. If she was covered in armor or even had the luxury of pants on she wouldn't be this flustered but she only had a dress on, and a bumbling bimbo by her side. "P-pardon... your majesty" Rei said, dipping into a small curtsey for Atticus who was Eius pretending to be Atticus. Or maybe it would soon be revealed it was Atticus pretending to be Eius who was pretending to be himself or....whatever. Either way Atticus froze up as well, and there was no way she was gonna be able to get him out of here without someone noticing now. Damn him. "My friend and I were just...we are just a little jelly legged from dancing and stumbled in without thinking." She continued, her eyes flying up to skim over the head of the guards. 7 guards present, not counting the guards by the royal family and entrance.
"Um....it's completely fine...your friend here looks a bit...out of it don't you think?" Atticus asked, trying his best to cover up that sudden freeze up. What the heck was wrong with Nerys? She looked like she gobbled down a bit too much wine, did she have some before hand? Since when does the leader of a mission get to take time off to get tipsy? "Maybe she would like some fresh air aye? Nice fresh air, summer air too but it's getting a bit cold with the weather changing and all that" Atticus said, his eyes hoping around to see if he could find Heulfryn or maybe Will or Remus or Sybil or Eliza ( he was just listing them all cause he was getting panicked ) to help?? This was off the plan, a total 180. He wasn't told that Nerys would be playing a ditzy party girl and Rei would be the one who....lost her shoes? A awkward cough split the air as Atticus noticed that it had fallen silent, with Rei still watching him with large blue eyes leaping around. Did she not know what to do? Probably not considering she was still standing there. "Um...I could escort you ladies out to the door if you want? Maybe you can catch a carriage back to your homes or maybe somewhere less crow-"
"THEIVES. The Crown is missing!"
"Eh?" Atticus turned around at the sudden cry, looking to the top of the stairs to the guard who had slipped from view. There were 5 guards now, one standing at the top of the stairs and the other holding onto the empty box that held the crown of the queen. King Ca'mala stood up with such force his chair was almost knocked to the ground. He was yelling and people were talking louder as the guards yelled, Atticus was starting to feel overwhelmed. "Your highness are you alright?" Asked a guard beside him, gripping Atticus by the shoulder. The young prince must have looked startled for his face was written with panic as well. "Me? Yeah, sure jus-" "THIEVES" yelled the guard again
"Well there's that" Atticus said, looking towards Rei who has moved closer with worry written in her eyes. He flicked his hand a bit, a silent signal for her to back off, to leave while he took part in the chaos. "I'm sorry I just don't do well with shouting and I'm lacking sleep not to mention I don't usually have wine so it just sets me on edge" Atticus began, his breathing getting shorter as he shoved the cup of wine away from him and into the hands of someone else. "And thieves? Here? Are they the murder type because I know that puts a damper on things" He added, watching as Rei slowly eased away, the bag beside her against her hips and things were looking tight now. The guards that weren't wrapped up with Atticus were at the doors, blocking those from getting out and some had daggers and knives drawn. He forgotten how Rechisans tend to go to violence if things go south. And if they started a search of peoples bags that would be even worse, cause then Rei would be caught and Rechisans love public executions and-
Well the excitement didn't stop there. For as soon as those doors began to shut, a loud pop rang through the air followed with the sudden burst of the windows and the doors. The glass shattered and sprayed the party goers inside, the King covering his queen and the guards forcing Atticus to the ground so suddenly it hurt his back. The popping didn't stop though, it was like fireworks going off inside with random things bursting off the tables and flying off the walls. "Alright this is-this is fun. Fun times everyone" Atticus said. Well no, no it wasn't. Now things were certainly going off the grid. And you know the only people who weren't panicking like chickens without heads? Smug little Remus was watching from the outside near the carriage, not at all informing his dear friends about this. He wanted to challenge the newbies to sudden change, to sudden twists and turns. Not to mention he could hear Sybil's cursing from outside, who was being pushed and shoved by every tall person in their wake, nearly pushing her down a few times in the process. That was fun. Of course the spell wasn't dangerous, it was just a simple back-echo spell he got from a wizard on the way out. It just made things go pop, used in usually small dosages for parties or fun. Used in high amounts and well...this happens. It was great honestly. Not for the people inside though, defiantly.

《 Will, subconsciously breaking the 4th wall 》
Will scoffed, looking half mock-offended and half sheepish. “Well maybe I like cheesy,” he replied, now ducking his head for real. “I would think you would have realized that by now. You know, with all this .” He gestured to himself, flashing her a grin with a slight bit of self-deprecation. “I think… I think life should be a little more like the classics. I think people shouldn't be afraid to be bold and romantic and maybe a little cheesy. I don't know.” Then again, it was a little hypocritical of him to say so, he realized. How could he ask others to be bold when he couldn't even bring himself to ask Sybil… But that was different. At least a little. There were complications to this whole thing, things he hadn't talked to her about. And… he was frightened, a little. Frightened a bit by his own feelings. Frightened that he thought there was a good chance that she returned them. Frightened that he was pretty sure she'd say yes if he did get around to asking her that question.
His eyebrows skyrocketed at her comment, caught off guard from his thoughts. That and… was Sybil flirting? He was caught between wanting to laugh at the ridiculousness of it and wanting to frown because it was so unher. Sybil was supposed to insult Will, and Will was supposed to flirt with Sybil; that was their formula. This was… Will wasn't sure how to function with this. His brain did a little skip, defaulting to two things he was used to; flirting and trying to one up Sybil. He gave her his trademark William Gansey smile, shifting slightly closer. “Who needs nicknames when one has such a beautiful name? The way it rolls off the tongue. I mean…” He leaned closer still, gently tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. “... William Gansey. ” He grinned cheekily, ducking away before she could hit him or something. He couldn't detect any signs of brass knuckles stashed anywhere on her, but he knew she could deliver a mean punch without them.
“Yes, yes, we're all inspired by your wit.” Came a new but familiar voice. Will looked up, minorly surprised to find his sister there. Eliza continued. “Time to head out, lovebirds. And please; no snogging in the carriage on the way home.”
Will blinked. “Already? We just got here. I think.” Well, they couldn't have been here that long. Unless he and Sybil had been dancing longer than he'd thought. It seemed as though time had skipped them over - as if he'd been frozen while everything had happened around them. He couldn't remember seeing much of his sister until now, either.
Then, from one of the guards; “THIEVES!”
“On second thought, I’d say it’s right about time to be going,” Will amended, wrapping an arm around Sybil's shoulders, grabbing hold of Eliza's forearm with the other as he ushered the girls toward the exit. That was right about when all the glass started to explode. He turned, trying to shield both of them - Sybil and his sister - both of the people he cared most about. The cause of this was obviously magical, since next thing he knew, things were flying out of their places inside as well. Eliza gave him a shove. “We need to go! It's safer outside, anyway. I'll meet you two there.” She had to make sure the others made it out, too. Will started to protest, but she had disappeared into the crowd before he could argue. He turned back to Sybil, who was spitting out curses at all the (bigger) people who were getting in her way. He stepped closer, straightening in an attempt to look intimidating as he once again seized her arm.
Will marched toward the doors, ducking every once in a while to avoid some flying object or other, keeping close to Sybil all the while. It was more so he wouldn't lose her than to protect her, although there was a part of him that was screaming to do just that. The knowledge that she knew perfectly well - and probably better than he did sometimes - to defend herself was the only thing keeping him from doing so. No one was targeting her so much at least, no more than he was also being shoved. He was sure he looked right and crooked by now, although he wasn't too concerned about his looks. He let out a brief breath of relief as they reached the doors. A hand clenched on his forearm. “Stop right there, sir. I'm afraid we have to search you, with thieves in our midsts.” He froze, but nodded, complying. He hadn't stolen anything, per se, so there wasn't any harm, right? Will held up his hands, allowing them to pat him down, check for stolen items. Of course, he had none. The guard stepped away opening his mouth to give him the go ahead, when his eyes flickered up to Will's hand. To his exposed wrist, precisely, his sleeves too short for his outrageously long limbs in the suit they'd had to buy on such short notice. To the ink peeking out.
The guard grabbed his arm, forcing up his sleeve, exposing the dark latticework of lines marked permanently on his skin. Exposing the particular marking on the inside of his forearm, the running wolf’s silhouette. A brand. One, apparently, that the guard recognized, according to his following shout in Rechisan. Why a Rechisan guard recognized Noridian gang symbols was beyond Will. “He’s House of Wolves!” The guard shouted, this time in Kevior. Will’s stomach sank, a sick feeling arising. The guard had his sword out in a flash, forcing Will to his knees. He had no weapons on him, had hesitated a second too long to fight back before the guard's weapon was at his throat. His eyes searched for Sybil's, chest tight, four words lodged in his throat. Of them, he could only mouth one.
Run.
---
“I'll wear off,” Heulfryn assured Rei, his suspicions indeed confirmed. He nodded, not bothering with another word as he gave her instructions. Once he rounded up Eius they could get out of here, mission successful, and Heulfryn could put on some damned real clothes . He turned away, setting off in search of the other Crows.
Nerys, at least, seemed momentarily pacified, in the sense that she was currently staring around rather dreamily at the decorations. She hardly noticed as Rei started to drag her along again, admiring the particularly ordinary tablecloth at one of the serving tables. Serving tables - perhaps she'd get a bite to eat! It certainly did look like there were some yummy treats over there.
The next thing she knew however they were stumbling into a circle of guards - the circle of guards around the Prince. No, Eius. Heulfryn had said it was Eius. Why were they treating Eius like Royalty then. “Ohhh, I get it now,” Nerys whispered to Rei, although it was less of a whisper than she probably intended. “He’s pre-”
By some small miracle, the guards picked that moment to start making a lot of noise. By less of a miracle, the guards were shouting, about the fact that there were thieves in their midst, which meant they were suddenly in a very bad situation, particularly since they were currently surrounded by guards. Nerys's eyes widened, noticing even in her muddled state that they were in a bad spot. She looked around at the guards, looking thoroughly frightened. Hopefully her fear read to them as fear of the apparent brigands now among them.
Across the room, Heulfryn was internally damning them all. He ran a hand through his previously neat hair, ducking back into the corner of the room away from the commotion to come up with a plan. If he could find his crew, he could get them all out without a sweat, if he hadn't momentarily lost them in the crowd. He searched for them, unable to see through the frenzied party-goers. Relax. Focus. He took a breath, closing his eyes and allowing his other senses to take over. Hearing was pretty useless as well, with all the shouting and - was that a gods-damned back-echo spell? He let out a quiet snarl. But smell on the other hand… The scent of fear was overpowering, overbearing, coating everything. But beneath it… salty beef, fancy perfume, that scent from before. Eius.
Heulfryn beelined for the source of that familiar scent, acting without pausing to think on it, freshly wrapped in his power. He reached the group of guards surrounding the ‘Prince of Noridi’, clothed in a perfect replica of the armour worn by the guards in Noridi. He reached down, seizing Eius’s arm, nodding to the Rechisan guards. “I'll take his Highness from here. Thank you for your service.”

[ gosh darn it will, stop breaking those walls. ] [ I also happened to reference fantastic beasts in here sorry not sorry ]
Sybil was a person who knew how to take care of herself in a rapid crowd, but she also had the fresh memory of being trampled. It wasn't fun at all, but then again this game of duck wasn't fun either. She spat out a very un-lady like curse whenever something flew off the wall or someone ran into her, trying to cling onto Will's jacket as best as she could through this chaos. She knew, she knew Remus had conducted this little back-echo spell. The troll lived on back-echo spells and just about anything loud and flashy. She was going to greet him with a Knuckle sandwich via Sybil spell when she saw his smug mug outside of this horrible place. Which would be soon by the looks of things, even with people pushing by the guards somehow had time to search a couple every now and then. "I swear to the gods if they search us" She muttered, her blonde hair falling out of place now as they shifted forward- closer and closer to that sweet exit.
Until the guards stopped Will. She let a curse fly under her breathe as she waited by his side, not really worried considering they hadn't stolen anything. But this would prove a problem if a guard were to stop one of the newbies on the way out. Maybe if she could warn them before then, or hopefully Rei could pass off her prize ( The crown of the queen, the risk takers this bunch was ) to Heulfryn so it could be hidden under a blanket of magic. That was what she was thinking at first, along with a long hot bath at home to scrub off the makeup, dealing with cards or maybe some time along with Will ( So she could slap him for the earlier comment...or maybe repeat it ) or something relaxing. That all shattered when the guard yanked up Will's arm and pushed back his sleeve to reveal a tattoo pressed into his skin so fancy like she didn't remember seeing it before. A frown painted her lips as she watched, reaching out at first to tug on his jacket to just get pulled back. Those simple words He's House of Wolves sent a new ripple of panic through the crowd so fierce people were pushing past now. "God-" Sybil scowled at whoever yanked her back, her eyes focused on one thing.
The sword pressed against Will's neck.
Her throat closed up, and a swift flash of a couple years ago of someone similar being forced to their knees, someone she cared about deeply being killed before her. That time though she couldn't do anything, and was left with hot white anger. Now she could do something, and that anger came back with cookies and wine. She saw Will mouth that single word, and all she could do was scowl and pin her eyes on the guard. She wasn't going to run away....more like at him. And she did, she sprang forward to the guard and grabbed the blade of the sword to sling it away creating a red gash on her palm. But all she cared about this moment was beating the snot out of this guy and then moving on to slapping Will if she could. The guard was surprised, she was sure. Like come on, how many times do you get punched in the face by a tiny blonde? Not often. She was lucky these guards weren't as heavily armored like normal Noridian guards, leaving the face open for her to crack the nose was bliss. It hurt like hell but it was satisfying in the end. "Wolves hunt in packs I hear" She said, the open gash on her hand dripped to the floor being smeared by stomping boots.
She didn't expect the guard to just fall down after a punch, she got a swift back hand to prove it but she wasn't the backing down type either. She found herself hitting back, wanting to turn around to scream at Will for telling her to run. As if she would leave someone behind, as if she would leave him behind. She wasn't a little girl and she wasn't going to think about a life without Will there to tease, to poke, to hug or kiss. She wanted to yell at him but she also wanted to ask about those dumb tattoos. She didn't exactly ask now though, she was defiantly aware of the fact people were screaming about Wolves and Crows and now it was a mess. She could see other guards out of her vision but the one she was currently beating back and forth with, she could taste blood in her mouth from the probable split lip and the specks of blood dripping on her blue dress. She let her fist connect with the mans face once, twice, and thrice until he fell. Her knuckles were throbbing and shaking as she uncurled her fingers. "Get up Will" She breathed out, flinching as she turned around to grab his hand. The adrenaline was draining from her body, not even realizing it was there in the first place. Her hand began to hurt more then she thought it would, and all that anger ebbed away to a small bit of relief to the fact Will still had his head.
She even reached out to cup his cheek, as if to make sure he was still breathing. She probably shouldn't have punched the guard so much but...it was worth it. Either way she made a opening for the crew, everyone was focused on the now present Wolf in the room then a thief. The guards were buzzing around now in the mob of panicked people, Sybil was too busy trying to stand up right and run then take on another guard.
Rei saw this chance of panic to move , her hand gripping Nerys so tight her knuckles were bone white. "Just keep moving Nerys" She said over the loud noise, people shoving her from all sides. She eventually had to wrap a arm around Nerys as a protective barrier from the people around them, the bag clutched tightly in her other hand as she moved forward. "Just a little farther..." She murmured, the doors were right there open and offering the sweet night air of escape. The only thing that was in her way at that point was- you guessed it- a guard who seemed to think now was a good time to act all heroic. "It's too dangerous this way mi'ladies I'm afraid you have to-" The guard began, his eyes darting over their forms to check if they were alright only to linger on her bag. It was opened, but just a smidge. Enough for the guard to catch the glint of something glittering and expensive. He opened his mouth to speak but Rei didn't want to give him the chance to shout a alarm. She found herself grabbing the front of his chest plate and bringing his head forward so her forehead collided with the bridge of his nose. "Great Galafra" Rei cursed as she pushed the guard back, a sharp pain launching through her head as the man stumbled backwards.
"Go go go" She urged now, pushing Nerys forward with the rest of the crowd before the guard could get his surroundings, the night air meeting her face with welcome. She didn't even realize she was sweating until she noticed how cold she was outside. People were running toward carriages, down the road, just about anywhere from here. She could spot a familiar red head near a set of black carriages, something in his hand that he kept flicking toward the building. Probably little wisps of the back-echo spell he had, but didn't seem to have that much left. He seemed a bit worried, pacing back and forth in front of the carriage as if trying to see past the people. Most likely looking for his own crew rather the newbies. Rei turned back once her eyes dancing among the crowd for a familiar face, a royal one at that. "Atticus...." She whispered, hoping Nerys was too out of it to even notice her saying that.
But Atticus was right behind them, having been pinned to the ground during most of the chaos, the King of Rechisan taking his queen and most of the guards towards a safe spot while some lingered back to keep Atticus covered as the glass windows broke and things flew off the tables and walls. "I swear this doesn't normally happen" He began, being cut off as the words House of Wolves escalated through the crowd, which made Atticus curse silently. Running theme tonight wasn't it? That was until a very shiny guard of the royal family of Noridi popped up. "Uhhh" Atticus muttered, looking up at the guard wondering where the heck this one came from. He didn't argue though when the guards let Atticus go, moving off to help whoever they could at the moment. "Heulfryn, I think this plan just went sideways" Atticus muttered after a moment, glancing towards the main spots of distractions popping up. Seeing the guards tango with Sybil was entertaining, although it looked more like a rabid small dog against a big bear. He hoped Heulfryn was cleaning away the glamour on himself, and was doing more to help their comrades here to get out. The crowd was thick with panicking people and a lot were pushing towards the nearest exit.
A lot though of this panic though seemed to stem from the fact that someone was a wolf? Like from the House of Wolves? He has heard of them but he didn't know they caused that much fear, this much of a stir. Maybe Rechisan had some beef with the gang or maybe it was because of the fact they were called the House of Wolves. Wolves weren't exactly a good sign in Rechisan, in fact their god of evil and death were both wolves were represented the rest of their kind. Wolves were a bad sign, a bad omen and mostly were killed for right of passage ceremonies. So maybe hearing that caused a stir with those who connected to Rechisan. While the Noridians probably ran because House of Wolves equals bad things. "Shouldn't we get Nerys or-or Eliza? Or someone?" He asked as he turned his head looking for the people in question only to meet people running out of the hall and towards the outside. The king was shouting commands to his guards and the spell seemed to be slowing down as fewer things flew off the shelves. Atticus for a moment pulled back on Heulfryn's grasp when he spotted someone being pushed to the ground and pushed around. He could see the fear in his peoples eyes and could see how they reacted to the sudden outburst of violence here and there. It was like a domino affect now, people pushing past guards only to get yanked back in and thus fighting back like they did something wrong.
Atticus wanted to tell people to stop, to stop this horrible display of violence and to calm down. He wanted to go back and help the girl on the ground but then again a part of him wanted to get out with Heulfryn and Rei and the crows to safety. He was torn between something he wasn't and something he was. He hated this. He didn't want to feel so torn and he didn't...he didn't want to play this role of Eius any longer. Just tough it out...just until they give you the dates for the real mission...then say goodbye to this lifestyle he thought bitterly, looking towards Heulfryn. He let the fae drag him away and towards the outside. He didn't say anything else, just a feeling of bitterness and....tinge of sadness when looking towards the man pulling on him.
