Back in 2014-2015, I had a dream that I got a manga prequel to A Forest Divided. It starred Ken, Sasha's owner, in his youth. He was a mobster back then, talking a with a hitman.
The hitman had been sent to carry out a hit on a guy called Tom. However, after killing Tom, the hitman discovered that Tom had a cat. He named the cat Tom after Tom, and then dropped him off at a shelter.
