I remember at one point he was like the most popular cat in the series. It might just be me, but he doesn't seem as liked anymore (on the forums at least)
So just to see, what's your opinion on him

I don't like him that much? I don't think I really ever have.

he's probably the only cat that i can undoubtedly say i like now mostly because of his amusing pov in pot and even if he's not as amusing as he was before to me, i still like him

I still like Jayfeather. He's one of my top 5 favorite cats. I like his personality, though not in certain instances. Plus, I think he has a great insight and viewpoint on things.

I think he's losing his popularity because of him being Alderheart's apprentice. He seems to be getting "Yellowfang-ed".

My biggest issue with him is that while characters like Squirrelflight, Bramblestar, Leafpool, Firestar, ect. all were able to mature and develop significantly in one series, Jayfeather hasn't really changed significantly and has hardly grown and we've followed his POV for 2 continuous series of books. I recently re-read early PoT, and honestly I was surprised to see that Jaykit isn't that different from Jayfeather, except for Jaykit occasionally being excited about one or two things like being a warrior (lol) and Brambleclaw being his father (lol). But when I re-read TPB, it was so nice to see how Rusty is so different from Fireheart who is so different from Firestar, but all in good ways. You can almost see him growing, learning, and maturing in his POV, and I just don't get that with Jayfeather. Even Lionblaze, with all his dumb decisions and actions, has matured since he was an arrogant little apprentice. So in the end, we don't really get any depth from his character besides his grumpy attitude, corrosive sarcasm, occasional moments of insight, and an unhealthy obsession with the prophecy and the stick.
I've actually begun to like him a little bit more as we see him from Alderheart's POV, since he's beginning to act more like a mentor, but I wish we got more development from him separate from the ever-looming prophecy that took up all the space for his potential growth.

He's awesome, he has a personality and doesn't care what other cats think of him.

I absolutely adore him. The reason he's not getting as much attention now is because he's no longer a main character.

Jayfeather is one of my favorite characters. He's so different compared to most of the cats, and isn't afraid to say what he thinks. He reminds me of myself in that way lol.

The only reason why I dislike him is because he gets furious when others help him, sometimes personality, and reaction to having Brightheart as mentor.
