I was wrong. HJ does take place during OOTS. I had based my previous timeline off the assumption that Hawkwing and his siblings were new apprentices based off of RF. Now that we know that they were actually pretty close to earning their names, the updated timeline would fall during TFA or FE. That means that SkyClan was destroyed a lot quicker than we had assumed.

I mean, Modern SkyClan isn't exactly stable, and if the clan was like ShadowClan now, it's not hard to believe if SkyClan fell within minutes

It can't take place during OOTS though. Firestar is already dead before the book begins.
"SkyClan will never end!" Cloudstar's blue eyes glittered fiercely. "We suffered great losses before, only to rise and thrive again. When we were driven out of the forest, so many seasons ago, we preserved. We found a home in the gorge, and even when the rats destroyed and scattered most of the Clan, a few cats kept the memory alive until Firestar came to restore what had been lost."
"But Firestar is dead," Brackenheart meowed somberly. "And his StarClan is far from here. He can do nothing for SkyClan now."

This timeline is screwed up more than Barry Allen's timeline.

I'm glad I wasn't the only person who saw wrong things in the timeline.

Ravenpaw's Farewell takes place around Sign of the Moon and The Forgotten Warrior. So Hawkwing's Journey takes place a little after that, probably shortly after The Last Hope.
