Of course. And the Clan would have found out even sooner that there's something suspicious going on with the name 'Crow'. Squirrelflight should have a part - she basically is their mother. Leafpool gave up that right the moment she broke the code.

Besides the issues naming Hollykit after Crowfeather may have caused and it seems like he didn't earn the right to have one of his kits named after him anyway, I think Squirrelflight did have some right since she was going to be taking care of the kits, especially since Leafpool had already named Lionkit. It only seems fair that Squirrelflight got to name Hollykit (and I guess Jaykit too, but she got the idea to name him after Leafpool, who gave Jayfeather his medicine cat name after Crowfeather, commented on his eyes), as unfair as it might've seemed to Leafpool.

Yeah, Squirrelflight had a right to do that, also Leafpool gave Jayfeather his medicine cat name and named him after Crowfeather (At least that is what I remember), so I feel like it was fine.

If Leafpool was gonna name her Crowkit, it might've been best that Squirrelflight had the right I override her for that once, can risk any stupid things to happen

In my entirely biased opinion, I think naming Hollykit after her father would have caused much more trouble than Crowfeather was worth. Plus, idk if he even earned that right to have a kit named after him, considering the fact that he never played a role in their upbringing, pre or post reveal.
But I digress, I think Squirrelflight, as the adoptive mother of the three, did have a right to name one of the kits, especially since, as mentioned above, Leafpool had already named Lionkit. For all the trouble Squirrelflight was going to go through, putting her own relationship at risk in the process, the least Leafpool could do was surrender the right of naming one of her kits to their adoptive mother.

Yep, I think she did have the right. Cats might've started questioning her if one of them was named Crowkit.

Birth mothers usually have the right to give them their "birth name" but adoptive mothers also have the right to re-name them legally.
So yes and no. Squirrelflight had the right to name them whatever she wanted because she was the legal mother of the Three now, but she didn't really have the right to give them their first names- that right belonged to the birthmother.
However since Leafpool and Squirrelflight were both present at their births, this is an exception since she was with Leadpool right when they were born and became their legal mother at that moment. Plus it's a completely different situation entirely because Squirrelflight let Leafpool name two of them and keep those names, when most adoptive mothers always re-name their kids. It was a deal of "you get to name Lionkit and Jaykit, and I'll name Hollykit."
This wasn't the usual stranger giving up their kids to a stranger that usually involved legal matters and "rights". This was two sisters who were very close and so were willing to both name the kits, and one loved the other enough to accept those names- like a normal pair who loved each other enough to each give their input on what to name the kits.
