About twenty minutes before the end of school my teacher told us we were dismissed and to leave the school/surrounding areas (many people did not leave the surrounding areas for a while) and we weren't told why. I was barely allowed to go back to my locker, but that was just because it was close to the classroom and I can't actually get home without my backpack, which was in my locker. The main two rumours are that it was either a bomb threat or a clown threat? I have no idea what it actually was though. Some people were pretty freaked out, as you would be, and I didn't actually cry until I remembered that I didn't do well on my math test which really shows you what my priorities are. Now I live in Canada, so it's the Thanksgiving long weekend now and I don't have my math textbook to study from (I was kind of in a rush) or my flute to practice with. You'd think they'd want me to have a blunt weapon, but I guess not. Anyway that was my day. How about all of you?

Yeah, we're all safe. I hung around a while afterwards and nothing happened, so it was mostly just disappointing that I couldn't get any of my stuff until Tuesday. Obviously they couldn't let us back in after something like that regardless of how likely it would have happened.

My junior year a kinda similar thing happened because they apparently found a "suspicious package". We couldn't get to my German classroom so we just met in the library instead. (It was a small class). Then between my next 2 periods no one was allowed to leave the classroom. (Fortunately for my class it wasn't a problem cause we had a double chemistry period.) But then at the end of the day we weren't allowed to go out the door where I needed to get on the bus downtown, so I had to go out a different door. They also blocked off the part of the building where a bunch of lockers were so I had to convince a staff to go get my stuff. (I would've just gone without it but this was December so I kinda needed a coat...) Then I had to run to the other side of the building and was about 10 seconds from missing the bus. I guess it was a good thing we weren't supposed to have choir cause it probably would've been cancelled. (It was Thursday so we normally did but it was the day after the concert). At least it gave people an excuse for not having their homework done if it was in their locker...
