as soon as i got home i ran straight to my laptop to write this.
okay okay okay
so today in science we had midterms . our teacher gave us a few minutes to "study" aka everyone run around the room and talk to their friends. me and my friends went to go pet chubs (class pet, he's the rabbit) when jacob (the most beautiful human being ever, personality and looks.) came up to me and did this thing where he pretended to punch me to see if i flinch. i flinched and he punched me in the shoulder twice (its a thing we do at school) he did it to no one else and bradley (some kid in the back of the room) yells "JANA IS REAL!! " (evidently its our ship name) we both deny it quickly.
the entire room starts discussing our ship names and we both just walk back to our seats.
at one point in science cole (jacobs friend) comes up to me and says "jacob likes you, do you like him?" i didn't believe cole so i just pushed him away and said "go away " very jokingly.
jacob didn't say a word to me after class.
when we left science, bradley came up to me and said 'jacob wanted me to ask you to go to the dance with him."
i assumed he was lying and said "if jacob wants to go with me, he ccan ask me himself."
jacob didn't say anything all day and looked away if we looked at each other
help me

OMG kiss him <3333333 Okay that is a sure fire way to creep him out. But I would suggest talking to him, say hi. He may be just as scared of you as you are of him, maybe More so since he's a guy who's expected to ask the girl out

He may be just as scared of you as you are of him, maybe More so since he's a guy who's expected to ask the girl out true true. normally he's super confident (class clown) but not the self-absorbed kind of confident. (really hoping he asks me to the dance though) im the "new kid" this year, so the idea someone would like me after a mere 7 weeks didn't seem believable. he just blushed really badly in science though, so i dont really know anymore i wish

since he (or at least other people on his behalf) has expressed interest several times, i think you should go for it. worst case scenario, either he or his friends are joking around, but in my experience that joke dies down after the first attempt.
i say go for it! what's the worst that can happen compared to the worst?
EDIT: ooo good luck! hope things go well!

➳ you should ask him out! he probably likes you, but is too shy/unsure to do anything. Plus the boy does not always have to make the first move.

That is true. My ex and I were just friends before I made the first move of saying "what are we?" And that night we made it official. So who knows :3

Talk to him. Judging by what you tell us about him, he seems like a nice guy, so I'm sure things will go fine
you have a class pet? lucky, we have "allergy rules" that prevent us from having any living animals in class
