Coal-black Crow Lands on the grass And b a l a n c e s On one foot
He is like An a c r o b a t Doing stunts
Children in A ruby red car Watch from The steamy window
They laugh At his act Thinking he is Dancing
The PAIN shoots Through his foot Like a sharp needle
He must fly To rid himself Of this PAIN
As he takes to T h e s k y He becomes one With the clouds
The people They pity him But he does not Care
He follows His instincts To survive
His hurt Does not S t o p him From his goal
To s u r v i v e
[This one is sadder than my other one, since it was based on a true story. This one was inspired by a crow I once saw. It was hopping around on one foot, and it me made me laugh (since it looked like it was dancing)... then I realized that it had been injured. It flew away after a few minutes. ]
