As they badger started to move, the startled tabby apprentice tumbled off from her poor grip as she hit the ground with a thud. She staggered to her paws and remained determined to set out to attack it again.

Heatherstripe felt her pelt be scraped by a branch when she saw Batflight grab her scruff before the badger charged at Stormgaze, her love. Heatherstripe cried in her mind, Stormgaze! No! |

Out of the corner of her eye, she could see the badger glaring at Ivorypaw, targeting her. Letting out a hiss, Silverpaw raked her claws on the beast's back.

Once Ivorypaw caught up to the badger, she hurtled towards it and dived under its stomach, clawing the soft flesh underneath.

In return, the badger raked it's dirty claws into Silverpaw's shoulder, causing her to howl in agony.

The badger fell back screeching, its paws flailing as it backed away, swiping blindly at the air ahead of it. It shook its pelt, droplets of blood scattering across the ground.
Barrowfall ran forward to back up Ivorypaw, latching onto the badger's back leg and tearing sharply at it with her teeth.
Batflight continued to drag the warrior away, her ears plastered to her skull as she tried to anticipate the animal's next move.

Stormgaze immediately retreated, however he was slowed down by his hurt leg. He desperately ran but eventually fell over, his forearm not being able to move properly after it had been hurt earlier. The gray tom was extremely nervous and tried to get back up. (SOMEONE SAVE MY CINNAMON ROLL. yes i edited this because i felt like he shouldn't be able to escape because of his leg lol) Heatherstripe watched Stormgaze's struggle to get up before the badger came. NO!, she screamed in her mind knowing the badger will get Stormgaze possibly able to kill him. |

Ivorypaw's eyes gleamed as she noticed her mentor beside her. Feeling more confident, she darted out between the badger's legs and bared her teeth into a snarl.

Seeing the apprentice staring it down, the badger began to back up, turning its attention to the warrior on its leg instead. It kicked its leg back.
Barrowfall slammed into a tree trunk, letting out a scream as she was forced from the animal's leg. She fell to the ground in a heap.
Batflight dropped Heatherstripe to the ground, looking toward where Stormgaze had retreated. I should have done that when I had the chance!

Ivorypaw's puprils dialated. This was the second time her mentor was flung into a tree. "Are you ok?" She yowled out, stepping away from the badger and up to her mentor's fallen figure.

Ivorypaw felt dazed as she tumbled to the ground from the hit. As she shook her head, small droplets of blood landed on the grass beside her. She lay still for a moment before heaving herself back on her paws.

The badger doubled over with pain, taking one last look at the cats surrounding it before bumbling back the way it came, a trail of blood following it.
Barrowfall struggled to her paws, watching the creature retreat. She wanted to give chase, but she stumbled, still trying to catch her breath from the fall.

Heatherstripe slowly woke up finding Barrowfall on the ground, Batflight scared to death, Ivorpaw also on the flor, and Silverpaw scared, and Stormgaze trying to get on the floor. " Stormgaze?", she rasped to her injured mate.

Barrowfall slowly regained her footing, wheezing a little. "I think it's not going to be coming back for a while," she forced, looking towards the others. "Is everyone alright?" She almost dragged herself toward Heatherstripe and Stormgaze.
Batflight was beginning to have her wits about her once again, and she looked a little horrified at the wounds of her clanmates. "Sh-sh-" she stuttered, trying to force herself to speak. "Should I get help?"
