Blossomshadow had limped a few steps from the spot where she'd been bitten, but was still so far from camp that she knew that she'd be unable to return like this. It would simply be too strenuous. She chose to lie in a cluster of dried leaves, moss and ferns. She curled herself up into a ball and prayed to StarClan that the feeling in her leg and in the pit of her stomach would subside because she didn't think she'd have the strength forever to endure it. |

Applepaw looked up at the sound of his name. He was putting feathers in his nest and was planning on putting some in Silverpaw and Ivorypaw's nests, and turned around to see who was calling him. He was surprised to see his Clan leader, and was feeling slightly nervous as he replied "Yes, Honeystar, what is it?"

Applepaw was feeling very nervous. He didn't know what was going on, but didn't dare ask and, instead, hurriedly pushed his small pile of feathers onto his nest and pat them down so that they wouldn't fly away if a gust of wind passed by, then quickly padded after Honeystar to catch up.
