Maplerose smiled at Kestrelwing for a moment before returning her gaze to the perimeters of the lake. She found some marigold and snipped it gently with her teeth. Soon she had a very small pile of 4 marigold flowers. "Hey Kestrelwing, find any dock yet?" The calico medicine cat wanted to start a conversation again.

"Thank you." She smiled sweetly at him and then walked around the Crystal Lake. "Well if you can't find more dock, then you can join me and look for marigold." Every few moments, Maplerose paused to look at the beautifully lit sky. The medicine cat admired the sky, the soft purples and oranges mixing together with white puffs of clouds placed randomly around the sky.

Maplerose pushed the vibrant yellow flower closer to the tom. She meowed, "They look like this, I think we'll find them pretty easily because they're so bright." The medicine cat blushed a bit because of Kestrelwing's sign of affection. The medicine cat noticed Kestrelwing yawning, and she yawned as well.

Maplerose yawned a few more times as she picked flowers. "Marigold grows near water you silly cat." The she-cat smiled at him, joy glinting in her tired eyes. The medicine cat wished that she didn't sleep so late yesterday, so she just tried to cope with it. "Hey Kestrelwing, are you feeling tired too?" The calico cat asked, looking at him as she spoke.

"Well if you want, we could sleep at the lake. It's quite nice here... It's peaceful." Maplerose looked at the water, hearing only the water slowly moving and the grass rustling. She liked it here, where you could barely here anything and the open sky was high above you. The medicine cat scanned the area really quickly, admiring the lake's beauty.

"I recommend that we place them under shade so that they don't dry out. Maybe under a bush?" Maplerose smiled at him, waiting for a response from the tom. "Let's try to sleep near the bush so we don't forget it." The medicine cat picked up the marigold flowers and the small pack of cobwebs, waiting for Kestrelwing to choose a bush to put it under.

Maplerose followed after him, placing the cobwebs and the four marigold flowers under the bush while Kestrelwing crafted a temporary nest. She watched as the moon started to slowly raise in the dark sky. The stars started to appear now that the sky was no longer brightly colored due to the sun.

"Hmm? Oh.. I'll come sleep." Maplerose removed her gaze from the stars, walking towards the nest that Kestrelwing had made. She laid down besides him, pressing against Kestrelwing. The medicine cat rest her head on her paws, closing her blue and green eyes as she breathed softly. Her tail curled around her back legs and her eyes opened for a brief moment to look at Kestrelwing before she closed them again to fall into a deep sleep.

In the morning Maplerose's eyes opened, adjusting to the light from the sun. She looked besides her to see Kestrelwing, still sleeping. The medicine cat looked at the bush besides them and checked to make sure that the herbs were still here. The calico feline didn't want to wake up the sleeping tom, so she carefully stood up and walked closer to the lake, crouching, and then beginning to lap at the water. It was refreshing to taste such cold water during an early morning. Maplerose yawned and stretched, her tail waving slightly.

Maplerose's ears struck up and her fur rose, startled by Kestrelwing's voice. Her fur flattened before she turned around and spoke, "Good morning Kestrelwing!" The calico she-cat smiled at the warrior. She didn't know what to think, since she was beginning to spend more and more time with Kestrelwing. Maplerose was beginning to develop feelings towards Kestrelwing, but she wasn't too sure about it yet.

Thornfang and Littlespring were out hunting. Thornfang searched for prey on the ground while Littlespring looked through the trees.

Blossomshadow
Sharpwind looked around camp, confused. The gray tom wondered why Blossomshadow hadn't arrived yet. Maybe she's in the warriors' den. The feline wondered, peeking into the den, only to find it empty. He started to get a bit worried, so he exited camp and tried to catch Blossomshadow's scent in the air. Unable to find a fresh scent, he started to travel deeper into the territory. Sharpwind constantly tried to find her scent, and yelled out her name in search for her. "Blossomshadow! Where are you? Answer me! Are you here?"

Maplerose agreed, "Yeah, it feels refreshing to taste it after waking up." The she-cat then continued, "Do you want to start going home or do you want to hunt for a little bit before leaving? I can help you hunt." A small part of her wanted him to hunt so that they could spend some time together, but she didn't say it out loud. The calico cat looked into Kestlrewing's hazel eyes, waiting for him to answer her.
